Honestly, we didn't notice any issue, it was busy and we were dazed, however, we were approached with an apology for the delay and confusion- which confused us, ha! She explained that both gals thought the other was helping us, as 2 tables came in at once & turned out neither was. We said it was all good & we really hadn't noticed, they said that they had tho & they were taking off 20% - well, that alone is worth 5 stars. The service, we thought, was great. We only had water to drink but it was never empty and she even asked about ice. We ordered from the specials menu- Kel got the BIG bison burger with the cheeseburger soup for a side, the soup was the star there. I went with the beef sandwich, a twist on the French dip and it was delish! We switch halfway through & I was very bitter about it this time. It came with tons of tasty fries too. First, the setting. What a delightful interior once you get past the rather understated exterior. Comfortable spaces, open, airy, not loud but full of sounds of people enjoying themselves. Second, the service. They are on it, immediately. But you never feel rushed. Instead, you feel welcome and valued. Third, the food. I the relish tray--once a mainstay of Montana steakhouses. But this one has hot, creamy cheese dip. And beets! (Well it is eastern Montana). The steaks? Just one of the top 3 New York strips that I have ever savored. PERFECTLY cooked and so so tender. Unbelievably good. Also loved you can have hashbrowns as a side. And my friend loved the rolls plus the halibut. Drinks? Certainly. A decent wine list. Lots of local brews. And well balanced cocktails. Quality is top notch, the quantity is there. The prices are fair, considering everything. What a place!!

Was with great company so there was no complaining at the table. We enjoyed the place so I would go back and try something different, maybe on a quieter night. Good Food, But Poor Organization and Website…read more The food itself was actually good -- no complaints there. But everything else? That's where things fell apart. Matthew, you were right -- and unfortunately, I ended up losing points because of the disorganization and the website. The site was so confusing and poorly designed that I had to rebuild it myself just to make sense of it. That's not a great look for any business. You seriously need to improve across the board -- not just the food. Your organization is a mess, your website is hard to navigate, and the overall experience feels rushed and unprofessional. If you don't fix these issues, customers won't stick around. Also -- please make sure the food is clean. No one wants to find hair in their meal. That's an instant deal-breaker. If this continues, people are going to take one look at your website or food and say, "What is that?" -- and walk away. You have potential with the food, but everything else needs serious work. Get better. Get more organized. And if you do, people might actually come back.

The service is efficient and friendly and the breakfast plates are to die for: what I call the Montana standard--two eggs, bacon, hash owns, toast--is excellent. But live a little and go for the loaded skillet. Wow what a dish. The potatoes, perfect, lots of meats cooked right, and then crowned by two eggs, how you like them. Plenty of coffee too: this place rules.
