In this overpriced-on-everything community that is Havre, thank you, national Wal-mart chain, for pooping on some of the local price monopolies. 3. I have had nothing but positive experiences getting my online orders delivered to me quickly and inexpensively at home or at this Walmart location. 4. Sometimes the smells wafting from the bakery are almost overpowering. Witch or no witch, forget about stealing the rapunzel and hand me whatever just came out of the oven! 5. Parking lot has a nicely designated, curbed off area for campers Con's 1. This Wal-mart is SEVERELY, SEVERELY understaffed. 2. That understaffing is most noticeable at the service desk, which is perhaps the slowest one on planet earth. It would be nice if more than 1 person worked there at all times, especially around times like, duh, Christmas. There's almost never anybody at the paint, jewelry or fabric counters, either, and no easy or obvious way to page them. 3. The produce section leaves much to be desired. (Did you get my pun?) 4. It's just a teeeeeeeensy bit scary to shop here at night, especially during the winter months. Wish the parking lot lighting was a lot brighter. 5. I don't like using their bathrooms. Probably because everyone else and their dog DOES. 6. Tourists, travelers, and parents of vomiting children who might need electrolyte in the middle of the night, please be advised that this location is NOT a 24-hour store.

I went to go cash a check and the old caucasian man working there was being pretty rude until I asked to speak to his manager.

Ever since the B&W closed, there has been no competition and the groceries have gotten very expensive. The prices are pretty shocking. Items that are $3.99 at my local grocery store are over $9 here. They carry Western Family brands and seem to participate in the same sales as other chains because amidst all the $4 frozen veggies were bags on sale for 88 cents. The produce section is small but included mangos and avocados. The portobello mushroom caps were a little juicy and had a bit of mold on top, only visible if you look closely. They also sold expired bags of Garden of Eatin' chips...about 3 months past their date. The store carries Earth Balance sticks for over $5 per pound, several types of plant milk (almond, soy, almond coconut blend) but doesn't seem to replenish often. I bought the almond milk, leaving one, and there was none five days later. There are no veggie burgers or fake meats of any kind. The donut selection was sad and two cooked pizzas are $25. The gas station costs more than the one down the road in town. Also, no Huckleberry anything.

This inconvenience is constrained by the incredibly expensive comparables. You don't have much of a choice unless you are headed to Shelby or Havre. This is an oversized convinience store and this wasn't always the case. The prices seems to have taken a leap upward as a result of new ownership.
