We got the meat and cheese variety but is available without cheese (you get your choice of high quality cheeses) The smoky bacon jam is the bomb! Some boards are filled with lots of dried fruit this one mostly is meat, cheese, a mustard, bacon jam, some nuts and craisins with a sprinkling of FRESH raspberries and blackberries. The owner has an extensive background in the food/service industry. Havre is very lucky to have a place like this. They have a selection of wines, domestic beers and other fancy beers. They give you their list of cheeses to select for your board, too, so you can accommodate different tastes for different crowds and select cheeses you know you love. She explained that both gals thought the other was helping us, as 2 tables came in at once & turned out neither was. We said it was all good & we really hadn't noticed, they said that they had tho & they were taking off 20% - well, that alone is worth 5 stars. The service, we thought, was great. We only had water to drink but it was never empty and she even asked about ice. We ordered from the specials menu- Kel got the BIG bison burger with the cheeseburger soup for a side, the soup was the star there. First, the setting. What a delightful interior once you get past the rather understated exterior. Comfortable spaces, open, airy, not loud but full of sounds of people enjoying themselves. Second, the service. They are on it, immediately. But you never feel rushed. Instead, you feel welcome and valued. Third, the food. I the relish tray--once a mainstay of Montana steakhouses. But this one has hot, creamy cheese dip. And beets! (Well it is eastern Montana). The steaks? Just one of the top 3 New York strips that I have ever savored. PERFECTLY cooked and so so tender. Matthew, you were right -- and unfortunately, I ended up losing points because of the disorganization and the website. The site was so confusing and poorly designed that I had to rebuild it myself just to make sense of it. That's not a great look for any business. You seriously need to improve across the board -- not just the food. Your organization is a mess, your website is hard to navigate, and the overall experience feels rushed and unprofessional. If you don't fix these issues, customers won't stick around. Also -- please make sure the food is clean. No one wants to find hair in their meal. That's an instant deal-breaker. If this continues, people are going to take one look at your website or food and say, "What is that?" -- and walk away. You have potential with the food, but everything else needs serious work. Get better. Get more organized. And if you do, people might actually come back.
