Great shop nice experience until my sister left her phone and they tried to say that they did not have it. She pinged it and wallah.

I've bought a couple wigs here before that were ok quality, but I recently purchased a unit from here that was incredibly disappointing. The hair looked much worse out of the box than on the mannequin -- there are things you can do to make it look better, but it barely looked like the wig I saw in the store. For me, that's forgiveable, it happens, if you wear wigs you know that (especially with synthetic) you often have to really work with the hair to make it look good. But the lace frontal was also extremely low quality and ripped twice during the install, making it completely unwearable. I've been wearing wigs for years and have never encountered lace that was so weak and poorly made. I was very gentle with the unit so it could've happened to anyone. The brand of the wig I purchased was Vella Vella btw. So I call to ask if they can do an exchange because the unit was such low quality and they said everything is final sale. It makes sense for sanitary purposes, but it's really disappointing that I've purchased from here numerous times and they are unwilling to do anything at all to keep my business or offer a solution. The woman I spoke with on the phone just repeated that everything is final sale over and over.... so I won't be shopping here again because I'm not about to waste $60 on another bottom of the barrel wig. I will be taking my money to the hair store on American Legion Highway instead, they have more options anyways and much better customer service. read more

I have been to the wig shop many times. They have a lot of options for about any budget so imagine to my surprise the bad experience I had here. I was shown a human hair full lace wig that I liked. It was $300 which was fine. They do not take the wig out the box you are taking home. So I assumed when they matched the name it was the correct one. I got home and took out my wig I simply moved the netting over and realized the wig had wefts! I didn't want wefts showing. I wanted a full lace wig. Parting throughout. I paid 300$ for a wig that I wanted but also needed. I suffer from complete hair loss ( Alopecia ) and I didn't want wefts to limit my parting ability. I called the shop that day and explained what happened. The associate who answered was rude and told me no returns. I explained I didn't want to return it I wanted the corrected wig. She told me I would have to speak with a manager but looking at the clock they closed at 6 on Sunday and from my location I would not make it. So Monday rolls in and I got absolutely no sleep thinking about being stuck with a pricey wig that I didn't want. So I called again and asked for a manager they gave me another number to dial and I spoke with a manager. She didn't even give me her name or anything. And she stated she would have to talk to who sold it to me and call me back. She called me back and stated she would have to inspect the hair condition. I explained I didn't do anything to the wig. I didn't brush it. Didn't remove tags. Didn't wear it - all the lace was attached. She advise I come in so she can see if the wig was in new condition for a possible store refund. That made me feel ok but a possible store refund when I just bought it and I explained how new it was didn't sound promising. Anyways I told her I would go in after work. I drive into town in traffic and get to the wig shop and ask for a manager. Now I guess she runs all the stores on the street ( multiple wig weave and accessory shops) because I waited ten minutes or more for her to come into the little boutique I was in. She then took my wig and took it out of the box bag and netting and did a FULL and Thorough inspection. I showed her my receipt that I bought it the day before. She didn't care for the receipt. Then she grabbed the same wig but newer and compared both of them. And told me my hair was damaged. I explained that was impossible I just purchased it. I explained I called yesterday instantly when I noticed it was the wrong one. She explained there were two versions of the wig I saw! So that's why mine was wrong but said unfortunately she couldn't accept my wig because the curls weren't the same. I explained wigs are all different. They are never perfect. Human and machine error. She didn't care. She kept inspecting it. And all the tags. I explained how I had alopecia and no hair. And that this was a big purchase for me. I needed this wig. And she packed my wig up and said no it was not able to be resold so she could not take it. I didn't go in there with a used wig. The wig was and is brand new. I got the incorrect one and couldn't even get an exchange. So where is the costumer service or compassion there? I will be disputing the charges and filing a complaint as I can't even believe this happened to me. I will not be returning. read more

**Buyer Beware When Purchasing From This Store** As we all know when purchasing wigs it is customary to try on the tailored display with a wig cap and hope and pray that the actual product you purchase looks just as good with some love and attention once taken out of the box. *Buyer Beware* I recently purchased a wig from THE WIG SHOP on 1783 Washington Street in Boston, MA. Their receipt which clearly says "No Exchange, No Returns on Wigs, Ponytails, Clip-ons, Jewelries" is totally understandable for health reasons. I get it. However, what happens when the wig is defective? Sure, you are shown the wig in the box to verify its color and style but you are NOT allowed to try it on. In my situation the lacing of this manufactured product was poorly stitched, leaving my new purchase to sit buckled on my forehead. This not only defies the point of a "quality lace" wig but, it also makes it very obvious that you are wearing one. When I returned to the vendor later that week to explain, I was told that this is how all the wigs from this manufacturer looked due to the way the clips were placed to secure the wig, in which they brought out one to compare. This wig was also stitched improperly and buckled which I pointed out but they did not choose to see beyond the "Clip Theory". They continued to claim that once I cut the lace (which would totally deem it used) and wore it for a while it MAY be fine. But they could not guarantee that. However, we have "No Returns or Exchanges". Really? That's your explanation! How can you tell a customer that has spent a good chunk of money on a product purchased in their establishment that it "MAY be fine... but we can't guarantee it" when it clearly was not fine (I could tell from the heightened phone conversation between the sales associate and the offsite manager). I don't want to purchase a wig and "wear it a while" before it looks good. I should be able to wear it and have it look good when I purchase it (with some reasonable styling)! I have purchased many "quality lace" wigs in my life, none of which sit buckled on my head BEFORE I cut the lace. I was appalled that this vendor was unwilling to work with me in rectifying the situation. I even offed to accept a store credit. It did not seem right to pay for a wig I could not use when this could have easily been addressed with the manufacturer. I am now working with my credit card vendor to recoup the loss. If this review can prevent one unsuspecting consumer to fall into the pitfalls of being taken advantage of from this vendor, then my job is done. read more
