I love these ladies and they do great work. I've been through hell with my hair while trying to find a good salon. This is a good salon. It's cozy. They maintain the space well and offer a variety of services. Given a larger space these women would TAKE OVER. These are versatile, hard working women who will do their best to make sure you are happy. I highly recommend them and any of their skilled stylists. UPDATE***** I had written this before, months ago in fact. Upon realizing my review was gone for some reason, I went to leave another and here this one was. So I'll add to it. I left this salon for awhile. It was kind of a drive from my house. Admittedly: at one point I felt a little unwelcome before I took a break from the salon, but I think that I was just aware of tension that I was late for my already late in the evening appointments. I went early this time & I am so happy I went back after having received some of the worst service at another salon in Waltham and the worst hair I have ever had, from Mayvenn. The hair at Intriguing is great. They are a good weave bar; matching some of the quality options I used to have around NYC or North Jersey. It holds true to when you buy it and the price is fair. I find that it's very easy to manage, doesn't shed too much even if you cut the wefts during install and if you know exactly what look you want, these ladies will help you achieve it. There's loose talk of them doing a fundraiser. I hope they do. This is a business that deserves growth. It's not often that you find a group of dedicated people like this. I'm happy that I returned and even though it's a drive, it is well worth it because Boston has some of the worst Salons I have ever been to and I don't mean just for hair. Ladies, you know what I am talking about. I have seen some sh*t here! I strongly believe it is important for women to have good options. Safe options. RELIABLE options... Especially when you are seeking a multicultural salon. I don't think that you will regret giving these ladies a visit. I only wish that they had a little more space and some sinks for shampooing. I know that they will get there though and if I'm ever in the area after I move, I will definitely keep going back. You should note, the hair bundles are not labeled by ounce, which I strongly prefer. But they are well wefted, thick all the way to the ends, soft and durable. The salon has a variety of textures and colors. I have never tried anything but the virgin hair, but I have colored my hair from here and it reacts well, and revamps easily with some conditioning. read more

I had a great experience. From beginning to end I was well taken care of. My first appointment consisted of a head measurement and I conversation about what I wanted. Nikki made sure to give me all my options since this was my first time getting a custom wig made. When I told her what I needed it for she gave her professional opinion but ultimately let me make my own decision. I didn't feel pressured to pick one over the other. Excellent. I came all the way from the west coast for an event in Cambridge and had very little time to have a wig made. Nikia and Niki were able to make a custom wig in the same day for me, I came in the morning at 10 am and was able to pick it up by 3pm! I had never worn wigs before and was so nervous about trying something new, but they were so experienced, so skilled and professional I am so glad I found Intriguing Hair. I kept saying all weekend at my event that the real innovation is not happening at Harvard or MIT but in Hyde Park at Intrigue Hair. And I mean it. These ladies are professionals! FYI, To any individual who reads 'a response from the owner' after a negative review is placed please realize that the owner will negate any wrong doing, make up 'facts' about the appointment/service and blame the customer. I read only a quarter of what the owner said about my visit and it was all false. I almost choked sipping my water after reading that I was an "hour late for my appointment " I'm sure anyone reading this would agree that very few, if any salons would take a client who showed up an hour late for an appointment, lol. Anyway, I feel bad for Nikki, she won't take any accountability for doing a piss poor job, she cares more about getting a quick buck off of one customer as opposed to having them return, which means she prefers to take clients who services are 200.00 up and doesn't care if you return. This might not sound like a big deal but it is because, she could take short cuts, or improperly complete a step or skip something all together. In my case, my hair was braided at the nape of my neck, it hurt, I asked for it to be loosened and I was denied. She took a shortcut that resulted in me being in pain, plain and simple. She then continued to 'not do the right thing' when I called to ask for a removal of the braids. She just doesn't care, plain and simple. I don't gain anything from this review, I just want to let people like me, who want a professional service to understand what this owner is about. I'm unfazed that she wrote I was dirty and didn't wash my hair before, was an hour late, and that she disagreed with my assessment about 'Princess Hair Salon' who she even had a few choice words about the owners herself! If she put as much thought into her clients as she does with retaliating against her 'dirty' clients, she could be great! Beware, if you the customer write a negative review about Nikki, you'll be from Lynn, unwashed, tardy, liar, and a troublemaker;Which reader I'm sure you are not, and neither am I!!!! read more

Boyyyyy (read that in a southern accent) I love this place! I just left. The experience was overall great, loved the atmosphere. The shop it's self is beautiful. Niki is amazing. My hair is so cute, & I was nervous because my hair is really short and it's growing back from a big chop. She had no problem braiding and sewing it in. We only used 2 of my bundles, and my hair is full & there are no spaces. She made sure I was happy before I left. & Even took the courtesy of trimming the remaining color I had left on the ends of my leave out. Coming from Philly I'm happy I didn't settle for getting my hair done at someone's house, I think I found my new hair home lol THANK YOU SO MUCH. read more

They always have the lengths u need and texture . I called book my appointment showed up with my hair clean washed and blow dryed, and my stylist was there ready n waiting at my appointment time .The omnibus of the place was the best part cool calm and relaxed atmosphere. They always have beverages and if u request privacy they can accommodate that as well. Went here to have hair I ordered from another hair boutique professionally colored by recommendation. Mind you I've come here before in the past for coloring services. The owner over processed the color and instead of owning up to it, blame was placed on the hair company amongst other things. I Wasn't able to use any of the hair I purchased and wasted money bringing my hair to these people to have it colored.I've done business with this company in the past so it's a shame I had to come to yelp as the owner denied being the cause of the poor color job. In addition to this, no compensation was offered and the owner continued to deny any responsibility for the bad service . I also Had several stylists examine the hair after it was colored by intriguing hair and all stylists said there were absolutely no defects like the owner previously claimed that would cause the hair to be poorly colored.. Honesty goes a long way and that is something this company is lacking. read more

Nikki's installations are great. Ive always been able to get appointments quickly. I've gone there 4 times so far and will continue to go. I drive over an hour to go to Intriguing Hair because they are the best. The quality of their service is great. They make clients feel welcome. Nikia and Baron are always happy to help. They are quick in their response time when you message questions. They are very informative and know their products and services well. I ask a lot of questions and they are always wonderful and willing to help. I will definitely buy their bundles because I've heard all good reviews about it from others.
