Called…read morein one weekend to try out a few different styles, must have been there over an hour testing them with no pressure from the salesman Ben who was very helpful and knowledgable with the mattresses. We made a decision, ordered and it was delivered free within a month. Hand made and such good quality and so comfortable, worth the expense. We were glad we had given our trade to a local independant rather than some of the larger well known bed shops where the service is not as personal. They have a full range of beds divans, metal, pine and other wood but it is their extensive pine range they are most known for. As well as the gorgeous pine beds they also have matching wardrobes and chest of drawers etc.. The Bed Warehouse has something for everyone, whatever your price range, from your basic £40 single up to very high quality ornate pine beds. Most of the stock is available to take away the same day from the warehouse across the road or can be delivered free of charge within town. They also have a range of bed sofas at a reasonable price. The staff are very helpful in the shop and the delivery men will usually take your furniture upstairs and I believe they offer a take away you r old item service.

Discount beds does exactly what it says on the tin, offers discount beds and mattresses…read more I visited recently on the look out for a good quality small double sized bed. There is plenty of parking within the grounds of their unit and it's easy to get to (though I wouldn't visit on a Sheffield United match day due to its proximity, unless you like struggling for parking and sitting in queues of traffic!) As soon as you walk through the door there are a large range of display beds for you to browse, with the main room splitting off into smaller areas with yet more beds. I was looking for something fairly specific, as not many beds will fit up our stairs, so needed to have a chat with the staff. Despite being busy organising deliveries and taking phone calls, I was offered help by a member of staff who was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Their prices seem competitive and comparable, so I'd recommend you give them a try if you are on the look out for a bed.

I must stress, there is nothing exactly wrong with the rest of the shop, however I personally find the layout poor, meaning there is a great feeling of a Primark-like clutter all around the shop. Combine this with the great number of shoppers you find in there and the highly pressurised air, it just doesn't make for the nicest shopping experience. On the plus side, I have found the staff to be friendly, and they do stock some good brands all under one roof. It may be worth a look, but in my opinion as all of their products (I believe) can be found elsewhere, it really isn't a very necessary shopping experience, and one that I'd avoid if I could.
