I visit here frequently if I want to update my house with a few new pieces of furniture or a new flower display. They have a massive craft section with bits and bobs from making your own christmas cards to arranging your own flower display. They have several different sections that cater for both home and garden and you can literally find almost anything you might need for your home. This Dunelm is a super store so thankfully has a coffee shop. Take advantage of the Latte mid shop...you won't regret it! I love Dunelm for buying bedding, although some ranges can be expensive (they stock Kylie Minogues collections), a lot of the ranges are very reasonably priced. That reasonably that I can pick a few sets up even on my student budget. If you want to find something to spice up your living room like a few unusual cushions or a new vase then you'll love looking around in this place.

I personally love the shop, it's fairly new as there used to be a small Paperchase in the Borders bookshop, but this was closed down (sadly.) The Paperchase shop is really quite big and is always busy. They sell a range of items including pens, paper, other stationery, cards, gift wrap, kitchenware, and homeware. Practically everything they sell is patterned with one of their unique prints, which they change periodically. It's quite an expensive shop but for me they sell the kinds of things I love so I don't mind, but I know a lot of people just think it's a rip-off.

I got that bit off the website so I wasn't un-pc about it. Mostly I like SLATE because of the bargainous second hand furniture, but you have to go on a Thursday or Friday because that's when they get their new stuff in. On a Wednesday it's a bit empty. Also they 'sell' second hand Dysons for a five pound donation (ahem), which they put together from parts from broken ones. There's some legal thing though which is why it's a 'donation', I don't know, someone explained it to me and I got confused. One time we went here when the minibuses were being loaded up and some man shouted either 'SAUSAGE! SAUSAGE! SAUSAGE!' at us or it might have been 'TOSSERS! TOSSERS! TOSSERS!', we couldn't tell. It was a bit unnerving.

But, i suppose that is what adds to the charm of the shop and it does give you more choice. As the name suggests they stock beds and suites and other things like mirrors, dressers, wardrobes, etc. All the products are the best makes like dunlop and that and are made to the very best standard - the wardrobe i bought there over 10years ago still looks like new which is good in this day and age. They deliver the goods to your home for a small fee but their prices arent too steep so you dont mind paying this fee. The store is laid out over 2 floors but the upstairs floor is quite hard to get to as the steps feel really rickety and coming down you take your life in your hands. There is a lift but it doesnt always work. The staff are quite nice but there isnt enough of them and they always seem to be on the phone when i go in and thus it makes you feel as if your custom isnt wanted, but, once they do begin to serve you they are very nice.

It covers two floors and has both a lift and escalators, should the lift be out of order, both floors can be accessed at street level thanks to Bradford's wonderful vertical geography. Toys, toiletries, bedding, paint etc. It even has a section for pre-packed sandwiches. It does get quite busy and you can expect to queue at the tills on either floor but the staff are friendly, helpful and competant.

None of the prices are too outrageous in my opinion, and all the products seem to be good quality, and so it's fairly good value. The shop itself is fairly small, which is slightly disconcerting, purely because when you are the only person in there, it does feel very very quiet, and I'm always terrified of breaking something! Overall, a lovely little shop and the perfect place to head to when you need a present for the person that has everything.

They do a huge range of goods all under the one roof at fantastic and sometimes stupid prices. They do food, drink, toys, linen, toiletries, etc all at under average prices. They are the top notch best makes and not a cheap copy of the top makes which makes it even better. The only bugbear is the fact that the shop gets so busy and you end up having to queue for about 30 minutes but with the bargains you end up getting it is well worth it. The store is always nice and clean and well stocked - the stock changes every couple of days too which keeps the excitement factor going too. The staff are nice and friendly usually even when the store is absolutely heaving.
