We were in Bedford for 9/11 and saw Whiskey River on the list supplied by the hotel. After reading the reviews on Yelp we decided to give it a try. Our server, Angie, was very personable and attentive. The have a fairly good selection of beers, that makes for a good meal. Their menu is extensive so there was a nice selection to choose from for our party of 6. I don't remember what everyone ordered, but my wife had the Fish sandwich and I had the Philly Cheesesteak - both were excellent. Ross enjoyed his Fish sandwich as well. This is a very nice, small town pub with a welcoming vibe. Since they have only been open for about 2 years the place still has that "new" appearance. they offer outside dining but the dining area is quite nice. In the back room they have a pool table and I think Iremember a service bar as well. We have been coming to Bedford for 24 years and this is a great addition to the restaurant offerings, especially when you only need a cold beer and a great sandwich. Decided to take a drive to Bedford and try for a first time The Whiskey River Pub. When we entered the pub, a young lady greeted us and directed us to a line of small tables for two. I politely requested if we may be seated at a larger 4 person table. The young lady stood there silent for what felt like a whole minute then said ok. Once we were seated, the same young lady said, "I don't seat two people at a table for four. And if we get busy I'll have to move you to a smaller table for two". Yikes. What a strange way to greet guests. Soon our server Kelsey arrived to take our drink orders. Once she brought our drinks we had time to look over the menu and make our choices. We chose a Philly Cheesesteak and Reuben with a cup of loaded potato soup and cup of chili. The soup and chili arrived with our sandwiches soon. Both soup and chili were good and both sandwiches were also good. Our server was nice and friendly. read more

We were visitors from College Station, Tx. We were in town for my wife's sister's 50th Birthday party back in April 2026. We found the atmosphere very well pleasing and comfortable. The food was very tasteful and quite appealing. The drinks were phenomenal. I personally had the pubs smokey old fashion. I honestly believe it was the best old fashion I've ever had as far as satisfying to my pallet. It was well balanced with the usual orange bitters, agave and your choice of bourbon!! I drink several brands of bourbon, and I want to say mine was made with Woodford Reserve the night we visited. It was so flavorful, I had 5 of them!! My wife was drinking Tequila Sunrises and her sister was drinking Margaritas. All were very good, and very tasteful. Compliments to The bartender!! Absolutely fabulous food plus outstanding service. We made this our destination when we saw they had on the menu housemade chips (YUM) with blue cheese (YUM) and balsamic drizzle (YUM), and OMG I can't wait to go back and get them again. and again.... We also had burgers, which were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and O rings, which were fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and quick. Very casual, not large but big enough, nice bar, and a pool table in the back. Bathrooms were very clean and nice. Will definitely return. read more

Super attentive and personable bartender! The friendly waitress and bartender made it a super welcoming stop on our way traveling through. Food was good. The special was sweet potato gnocchi in a sage and walnut gravy with seared chicken and drunken cranberries. Very good. The boneless wings and house made chips were standard pub fare. Lovely little place with excellent service. The parking situation is a little challenging, but the space is fun and comfortable once you get in. They even have some outdoor seating in front. The draft list isn't extensive, but they at least try: they had some macro lagers plus an IPA on tap when I showed up. It was a little too loud inside for quiet conversation but the vibe was generally friendly with a steady stream of regulars flowing in and out. The clientele seemed to be mostly friendly locals, to the point where I would say you could even consider this a family friendly space. Just keep in mind that it's still a sports bar. The reviews lead me to the right spot in Bedford! Was in town for a night on tour, and this was the resounding eatery to visit, that was also apparently newer. Walked in with the larger group, and saw there was music that night plus coolers for to-go beers. Already enjoyed the vibe - even though myself and my cadre very much stood out. The place has a great bar seating and back area, which worked for the 6 of us. The menu looked fantastic and I am a sucker for a place that does a Pittsburgh style salad. I also clocked the soup options and very glad I got the tomato bisque. I could tell it was house made and it was really tasty. The salad was incredible. Defaulted to the chicken and blue cheese for dressing, it was incredible. Crisp fries over cheese, greens with chicken, egg and the dressing, I finished the whole thing and practically licked the plate. I got to try the chili cheese fries as well, and wowie. Whatever they have going on in that kitchen is real magic, and I loved the music they had too! While there werent a ton of people sitting and watching, talented musicians at a reasonable volume, plus nice people. Great place, definitely keeping in my bookmarks for future visits to the area. read more

What a great spot to stop in Bedford! We were out hiking and decided to pop in and so glad we did. Seth the bartender was super attentive and made an amazing espresso martini. Heather was also a pleasure to meet and added to the welcoming vibe. The food hit the spot. we had the boneless wings, and they were delicious. Stopped here on our way from Penn State back to VA since it was easily located. The food here was awesome. I can't say enough good things about it - even the salad! Stopped in Bedford on the drive back from Ohio to NJ. Grabbed a late dinner at the Whiskey River Pub, I had the Reuban Sandwich, my wife ate the Brisket Mac-n-Cheese. The Reuban was one of the best I've ever eaten, my wife loved the Mac-n-Cheese. Both food and service score a 10 out of 10. i look forward to stopping back in when I make that drive again. read more

Cool spot with nicely prepared food using quality ingredients....I like the local bar vibe, playing great jam band music. Locals were friendly, never uncomfortable. Great staff and gregarious bartender. They have a great cocktail list that isn't on their website and I couldn't find anywhere else. I should have photographed it, but did not. It's a bar menu, but a step or two from most bars. Our only complaint was the type of Mezcal they used for our drink, no bueno. Online reviews say it tastes like propylene and rotten fruit. They're not wrong. To be fair, they didn't advertise mezcal drinks. Still highly recommend this place as an in-between if you're going to the Omni. read more

Stopped in from out of town. Great food and the Maple Rye Old Fashion was delicious. BBQ Brisket sandwich was also wonderful.

I use yelp alot when I travel to see if the town we decide to head to at the end of the ride for thar day has a decent place to stay and a good place to eat . I do not leave a review in every town but this one deserves one just in case you are by chance riding ( motorcycles ) across the usa or by car. The Wiskey river was one of the best places to stop riding from Cincinnati to Maine and back. The service, location , from the awesome hotel the Hampton Inn, the live music starting i believe at 8pm. Was just perfect. Had the brisket and the mac & cheese . Favortown for sure . Def a great place to go if you end up in Bedford ..... read more

Don't overlook this place when searching for a great place to eat, have a drink and/or hang out. Service was exceptional as was the bar service. There's creativity and quality in the menu and the food was exceptional (especially the fries). Don't be intimidated as if it's going to be a biker bar, it's not. It's full of local working folk that are polite, enjoying the evening and taking advantage of the exceptional service and drinks. I'd be back in a heartbeat! read more
