Once in a while you might have to remind her or to tell her to do things a certain way, but that is the reality for all cleaners. She will accommodate you if you tell her. She can get done with my apartment in about 2 hours and while it would take other teams 2.5-3 hrs to have done with the same level of detail. I have been hiring Veronica and her crew for 11 months now, once every two weeks, but within the past several months the quality has gone steadily downhill. I remember how impressed I used to be with her thoroughness; back when I first hired her, 4 people would come clean my 1200 square foot home in about and hour. Only once or twice did come home to find a less-than clean house. But now I find myself cleaning the house before they arrive, so that they can focus on the surfaces; if I don't do the dishes, put all the laundry away, clear all the surfaces like I'm staging the home to sell, then I come home to find places that have been skipped over, or floors that feel like they were swiffered once over. Today I came home to find several surfaces completely undusted; several items, like dirty socks or toys, not even moved; sticky spots on the floor; the dishwasher full but not running. Not "Hi, this is the Westside Maid," or even "hi this is Veronica." I asked if she is available on a particular day, and she says no but she can send her daughter and a couple other people. Um OK sure. She says my appointment is confirmed, but she will call the day before to remind me. Great. She asks me to text her my name and address and the appointment time. I text her, no response. The day before, I'm expecting the "reminder call" even though I always put everything down in my calendar. I didn't get any calls or texts from her. So around 6p I call her up. "Hello?" DO NOT TRUST THIS WOMAN!! I saw all of the amazing Yelp reviews and was duped! I'm pretty sure she must have her friends and people she knows write them, because then she will come in and basically rob you of any money you pay her! This woman is a crook and a HUGE liar. She told me it would be $150 for the small house that I have, which is more than I would normally spend, but she said she was going to DEEP clean everything and she had such great Yelp reviews I thought it would be worth the money. She came with her daughter and didn't even spend a full 2 hours there!! $150 for less than 2 hours!!! That was insane. And it would be one thing if it was clean, but it wasn't even clean!! She left so much not cleaned, or even dirtier than before. For a DEEP clean these are the things she left undone (all these things were actually dirtier than before): kitchen sink, stovetop, trash can in kitchen, living room and kitchen floors, rug in living room, one of the bedrooms completely un-dusted, didn't empty the dishwasher, dishes on the sink, blinds fell off window after she left, blankets left rolled up on the floor, rug in one bedroom. Here comes the worst part. When I confronted her about it, and very nicely, asked her to go back and finish the job, she texted me back and said she was on her way to the next job, but did I want her to go back? I texted yes. My roommate then waited over a half hour for her and she didn't show. I called her and she said she meant after the house she was now cleaning. I said that wouldn't work because we had to be somewhere, and became upset because she was not clear at all in her text. She then offered to refund the money, and when I said okay SHE SAID IT WAS A TRICK TO SEE WHAT KIND OF PERSON I AM AND THAT SHE WOULD NOT REFUND THE MONEY!! I DIDN'T EVEN ASK FOR THE MONEY, I JUST WANTED HER TO FINISH THE JOB!! Then when I said I didn't trust her nor want to deal with her any further, and to please refund me, she taunted me and refused. SHE ACTUALLY TRIED TO TURN THE TABLES ON ME FROM A HORRIBLE JOB THAT SHE DID!! She also told me during taunting me that other people call her all the time and tell her things she didn't do. I said that's a sign that something is wrong and she needs to acknowledge this. She said no, its cause everyone just wants money back. She's literally delusional and lied more times than I could count. Luckily it was only once and she doesn't have a key to my house, that would be the worst! Beware, she will swindle you and she will turn on you and become very nasty. I wish I could take her off Yelp because her reviews are obviously fraudulent. BEWARE!!! read more

I had Veronica and her team of three come and clean my home that I just moved into in the Palisades. She told me she would give me pricing when she got there because she doesn't give quotes over the phone. Never agree to this!! She arrived 30 minutes late without a phone call (which really isn't that big of a deal compared to everything else.) They were friendly and I THOUGHT they did a great job, that is, until I looked more closely after they left. I paid $400.00 for 2 hours of "deep move-in cleaning" and they didn't clean two of my bathrooms, the grease/catch all under the kitchen stove cooktop and inside the burners, left oven cleaner residue all over inside of my oven and toaster oven, didn't clean all of the patio windows outside (only did half of them), the list goes on. Just because I live in the Palisades doesn't mean it's okay to get overcharged for a sub-par cleaning. If the job would have been done properly I would have paid the $400.00 because it would have been worth it. I'm Not happy at all. I will say they were friendly, but that's about it. I coordinated a move out cleaning with Veronica. I was driving across the country so I had to schedule the cleaning for the day after I left Santa Monica. Scheduling the cleaning was real easy and Veronica was real helpful. Coordinating the cleaning took less than 5 minutes (this included giving instructions on how to get into my apartment without me being there and requests to focus on cleaning specific things in the apartment). I haven't been able to check the quality of the cleaning but I will follow up when I get my security deposit from the property management company (hopefully in full!). Anyway, after a detailed conversation, we texted necessary information, including date/time of service. Via text she CONFIRMS the date/time with me, and then....NO SHOW! I wait an hour, then call her--her voice mail box I "full"! Really? So I text her, "where are you?" SEVERAL hours later, I get a text back saying she did not have me down for that date/time, but she could come the following week. Really? I have her text confirming our date still on my phone.
