We contacted this entity to perform a servicing of our water purification system as the filters had to be replaced. While there, in addition to replacing the filters, they also replaced the valve on the main tank. Days later we saw that water had leaked from the valve and it permeated from the area beneath the kitchen sink to our basement level where it damaged the ceiling in a lower bedroom requiring sheet rock to be removed and replaced, as well as areas in that room to be re-painted. The resulting damages cost $750 and soon after we submitted the invoice to The Water Source, they sent us their check for the same amount. Unfortunately, days later the SAME THING happened again and when their personnel showed up for the second time, they confirmed that the problem repeated itself requiring us to hire the same contractor to perform the repairs for the second time, at a cost ($750) that was equal to what it cost us after the first incident. We should note that the two valves that failed were NOT manufactured by The Water Source, but still, they accepted responsibility for the failures and replaced both valves that leaked. In addition, after the second incident, they replaced the tank and also installed a steel valve (rather than using a plastic valve) on the tank. They could have said "not our problem - report the matters to your insurance company," but they didn't do that, so their professional response should be commended and acknowledged. John, Paul and Dana should be praised for how they responded to both unfortunate incidents.
