Soooo yeah, I never thought I'd be reviewing a laundromat, but here I am. My POS all-in-one washer/dryer at home sucks SO hard, that lots of times if I really need to get a load done in under 4 hours (energy efficient my butt!), I schlep my dirties to the Washing Well. Located behind Pancakes R' Us, next to Kona Cleaners. I used to go Sudz, but since I moved to Tustin/17th, this place is way closer for me. It has several "Max Load" washers (4 load capacity), 10-12+ double-load washers, and ton of single-load washers. They have at least 30 huge dryers as well. Prices are as follows: $4 for the quadruple load washer $2.50 for the double load washer $1.75 for the single load washer $0.25 for 7-minutes on the dryer They have tons of rolling basket carts to use, a TV, several places to sit, soap/detergent/laundry supply dispensers, sinks, and large flat areas to fold your clean clothes. It is a COIN laundry center, so bring your quarters! There's a Wells Fargo 2-minutes away by foot if you need cashola, but they do have quarter-changing machines. I feel pretty safe leaving my stuff in the dryer here unattended, and the place is always pretty clean, not crowded (even on the weekends) and not a lot of shady people just "hanging out" smelling weird and looking at you funny, even late at night. There's a nail salon next door (closed on Sundays), a hair salon, sushi, girly-clothes shopping, and a liquor store all in the same shopping center to pass the time. It's centrally located to a TON of places though, so you won't have an excuse to be bored while waiting!

Very clean and modern, well-lit. Attendant on duty. Located in same upscale center as liquor store, restaurants and more!

Very clean. Well lit. English-speaking radio (thank you!). But no WiFi. The nicest laundromat in the area! Definitely recommend.

Ease of access and not crowded at all - dryers are expensive but 30 minutes was enough to dry a full load.

This is a great self-serve laundromat They have machines as small as single load all the way up to washing machines that will do 4 loads of laundry in one.

Lucy's Laundry Modern Laundromat is hands down the cleanest laundromat I've ever been to. Charlie,…read morewho works there, was incredibly kind and helpful. I honestly thought he was the owner because of how much care he puts into the place. He took the time to guide me and teach me how to use the machines, which made the whole experience so easy. They also have an amazing variety of machine sizes including 2, 3, 6, and 8 loaders, which is perfect for comforters, bulky bedding, and all the bigger household items you cannot easily wash at home. Such a great experience all around.

It's just such a shame that the technology seems to have been designed by someone who genuinely dislikes the human race. If you have a spare hour and a burning desire to donate your hard-earned money to a digital abyss, you are going to LOVE it here. It's less of a laundromat and more of a high-stakes escape room where the prize is simply being allowed to wash your socks. A FEW "CHARMING" QUIRKS: * THE MAGIC VANISHING ACT: I paid $39 for a card, and the machine sweetly told me to "collect" it. Silly me, I thought that meant it was ready to use! It turns out the card is as empty as the customer service promises. * THE WALL OF LITERATURE: Unless you plan on spending your afternoon studying the "Wall of Text," which is basically a manifesto on how to navigate their hostile interface, you'll never guess that you have to take the card out of one slot and shove it into another just to find the money you already paid. * THE SILENT TREATMENT: I spent 20 minutes pressing the "Help" button, which is a lovely decorative touch, really, and calling a support line that I'm convinced leads directly to a disconnected payphone in 1994. I ended up paying an extra $25 just to escape with clean clothes, essentially gifting my first $40 to the universe, or the next lucky stranger. I even found a discarded card on the floor, a tragic little souvenir left by the last person who realized they'd been fleeced. It's such a quirky business model, you can't even get your $1 deposit back for the plastic! THE TAKEAWAY: It is truly impressive how a place can look so clean while its system feels so... predatory. If you're looking for a free wash, honestly, just stand near the kiosk and wait for the machine to rob the next unsuspecting visitor. I'm sure they'll leave their card behind in a fit of tears, too! A TINY SUGGESTION FOR MANAGEMENT: Perhaps you could update the screen to say, "Please collect your useless, unloaded card and put it in the next slot so we can finally give you what you paid for." Or, and I say this with so much love, you could join us in the 21st century and get a machine that actually functions. Good luck to everyone else! You're going to need it.

A customer was kind enough to show me around, so I began doing my laundry. About seven minutes before my drying cycle was finished, one of my shoes fell out of the dryer. The attendant, who was standing nearby, told me that shoes were not allowed in the dryer because it was against policy. When I first arrived, I took time to look around and read most of the posted signs, so I asked him where this policy was listed. He looked around and said he didn't know, but that it was still policy. I explained that I was almost done and didn't want to take home a pair of wet shoes. He told me I could continue drying only if I removed the shoes. Feeling disappointed, I politely asked for a refund. As I gathered my clothes, he stood next to me with his arms crossed, which made me feel uncomfortable -- almost as if he were waiting to escort me out. I asked him if he intended to stand there until I left because it felt intimidating. He responded that he was just doing his job and needed to grab the trash bin on the other side of me, though he could have easily gone around. Another customer nearby mentioned she was also unhappy with how the pricing was structured. At first glance, each machine advertises the lowest price, but once you begin selecting options like water temperature and cycle type (delicate, normal, etc.), the price increases. I found that misleading, though I admit it has been a while since I last visited a laundromat. Overall, the experience ended very poorly, and I will not be returning to this location. I also noticed that several dryers were out of service, which I later saw mentioned in other reviews as well

Nice little small laundry mat within walking distance from my apartment, they only have like around…read more12 washers and maybe 16 dryers. I needed to wash my comforter and the washers at my complex were too small so I had to come here. They are a little cheaper than Wash & Go a few blocks down, for 4 loads is around $4, their washers are pretty clean and new. But you still have to pay with quarters for the machines unlike Wash and Go where you can buy a reloadable card to use. They do have a machine to exchange for quarter inside in case you don't have them. They do have dispenser for your detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheets if you need them. The dryer machine costs .25 for 8 mins, which is pretty good price, way cheaper than the one at my apartment complex where they charge $2.25 for 45 mins, here only costs $1.50!! The only problem I have with this place is it smells!! They should probably install some air freshener thru out the place or something. Other than that, this is my goto laundry mat whenever I need to do my loads.
