UNHEARD OF.. oh also the food and coffee here is amazing... I got the Brie-tney Bitch crepe, which has brie, fig jam, and arugula... words escape me, but they wouldn't do this crepe justice anyway. I truly enjoy the ambiance of this place! They also host a lot of community fundraising events that are appreciated. I can't say I go for the food. The speciality drinks sound delicious as does the food and I have tried many options but I have yet to have anything I would order again except the crepes. Also if you have a gift certificate, I always get the vibe they're annoyed when I'm using a gift certificate. read more

The Warren is a welcoming and charming venue, full of books & things... a cozy place to drink your drink and eat whatever you ordered. The long communal tables were a welcome sight - lots of space to meet up with lots of friends - as well as the tidy reading nooks and smaller tables for a more individualized experience. Upon arrival, there's a sign that says to check in at the counter for service - which I did and was promptly handed a menu and told to find a place to sit and she'd come find me to take my order. The place was not crowded by any means so I chose one location to sit, changed my mind and chose another location and then changed my mind and moved again before settling on one end of one of those long tables. So many seating choices!! The staff member got busy and didn't make it back to me for a bit longer than I thought she should have taken but when she eventually found me, I ordered one of their seasonal espresso drinks: a Harlequin Rex (white chocolate, dark chocolate & caramel), and a Maid Marion crepe (marionberry jam, cream cheese, crushed pistachios & honey). The crepe arrived well ahead of the espresso drink but I waited to take a bite of the crepe till they both were at the table because I wanted a pic of them together - you know, priorities and all. That crepe was absolutely delicious - the perfect combination of tastes! And that espresso drink - spot on! Chocolate and caramel - what could go wrong there? Absolutely nothing. On the day I was there, it seems a pop-up jewelry vendor was there as well (or maybe the jewelry is a permanent feature? I don't know.). There was no space at the counter to sign my debit card receipt so I used the seat of the stool next to the register area, which worked just fine, but maybe it would be possible to keep an area clear for conducting the business of paying, since table payment is not an option (little sign attached to the playing cards that indicated your table number said to go to the counter to settle up). Or perhaps hand the receipts attached to a small clipboard or hard surface of some kind to make signing easier. Just seemed a bit crowded and cluttered at the counter. Overall, I think they're a great addition to downtown Silverton and hope to go back again to try something else on their yummy-looking menu. After they're able to work out the kinks of being a new business (they've been open 4 months), I hope they'll be in Silverton for a long time. PS. For those of us who like to read menus online, check out the back-story of a business, or locate other business info online, their website is currently not functioning. I contacted them through their FB page and they responded quickly but the message was that they are too busy to work on their website. Hopefully, they'll be able to get a minute or two to at least post a "website under construction, please check back soon" message for those of us who like to cruise websites, or maybe take down the web address on their FB page so we don't click on it only to be disappointed that nothing exists. read more

This experience was 10/10. Cutest little environment. They sell used books and small antiques. I got "the shire" tea which was green tea with matcha cold foam and it was so delicious. The chicky boom sandwich was also life changing and topped the lunch off with a strawberry short crepe which was sublime. The lady that waited on us was extremely nice as well. The ambiance and sense of privacy was wonderful. We had eaten at Oso and the food was tasty and digestible. We had eaten twice at The Noble Fox, and the food was hard to digest. I think that they use a lot of butter. The Warren had the best ambiance. I ate the ham and cheese crepe at The Warren, however my crepes are better as they come from a French recipe and are thin. The crepe had ham and cheese, without anything else. Between the thick crepes and ordinary ham and cheese, it lacked anything original. After I requested some sauce, I was brought garlic aioli sauce, which added flavor and moisture. The green drink called Shire was delicious and I really liked the foam. Menu items have unique and funny names. I felt a little like Alice in Wonderland, especially with the playing card on the table stand along with a note from a white rabbit. I will have to try different items on the menu because I love the warmth, sense of privacy and interesting surroundings of this restaurant. Walking into The Warren feels like stepping straight into the pages of a storybook. The space is absolutely stunning--warm wood tones, cozy nooks, bookshelves, and lighting that makes you want to curl up and stay awhile. It has all the character and charm of Silverton itself, but elevated with a magical, welcoming touch. The food is nothing short of incredible. I had The Chicky Boom sandwich, and the flavors were perfectly balanced--complex, smoky, and delicious. My husband ordered The Warren Bánh Mì, and it was just as amazing, layered with rich, savory flavors and the perfect crunch. Every bite felt like it was crafted with intention and love. The drinks were just as memorable. Our server, Thai, brought such warmth and care to the experience and served us some of the most delicious drinks. The hibiscus limeade was bright and fun, and the hot coffee called "Oh My God Becky, Look at Her Butter" not only had us laughing at the name but savoring every sip. The playful menu titles and clever touches show just how much thought and creativity went into every detail of this restaurant. Silverton is truly lucky to be the home of The Warren. It's a place where food, atmosphere, and community come together in the most wonderful way. First time here. Excited about the ambiance and the menu has so much to choose from and is a great read! It was hard to choose, but when we did we were looking forward to what we thought would be exceptional. We were disappointed. First because it took so long to get our order. Second it wasn't what as described in menu. My sandwich was suppose to " loaded" with three different Italian meats. Instead there were three very thin slices hardly noticeable thru the onion and tomato, missing dressing. My friend had a breakfast burrito that was dry no special sauce as mentioned. I did mention the issue of my sandwich and was told," I'll let the cook know." No offer to comp or reduce the cost. So sorry for this review as the restaurant really is charming and has potential. We might have had better luck with other choices, but "sorry I'll tell the cook," and not try to make it up to the customer is poor customer service. I should have sent it back, but it took so long to get it and we were hungry. Hopefully this review will help them improve not only their food items but care for customers as well. read more

Very cozy, comfortable cafe. More inclined toward coffee and wine rather than a full-menu restaurant. I did have a breakfast burrito which was delicious. The rich wood paneling, dark bamboo floors and posh lighting really give the place an air of luxury mixed with common comfort. An amazing library of books to read or buy. Ambiance is great. Service is horrible. Food is mediocre. It's very confusing. Do we go to the counter or just sit at a table? There's no hostess or direction. About half the people who come in appear to look confused as to what to do. We sat at a table for breakfast and it took over 10 minutes for anyone to approach us. After ordering it took another 10 minutes to get a plain coffee and no one ever came back to refill it. Then another 10 minutes to get the food which was interesting but not especially great. I get the idea of slow food but the complete lack of service is concerning. I'm not sure they have ever owned a restaurant before. The atmosphere is fun but noisy. I figure I go out to eat so I can get service. I guess this is not the place for me. read more

What a nice surprise this place was! A beautiful open and airy spot filled with tables, chairs, long tables and benches with shelved books on one side and a variety of artifacts on the other. The menu was quite extensive, but the house wine choice was either white or red. One of us had white and the other red and the wine was quite acceptable. We both had sandwiches with a nice salad. My only disappointment was that the sandwich meat is not cooked on the premises, but sourced from a distributor. That said, the sandwiches were great. Service was everything needed in a casual sit down restaurant. This is a welcome addition to Silverton downtown. read more
