Both the pulled pork and brisket were incredibly tender, flavorful, and delicious even without sauce, which says a lot about the quality of the barbecue. The hot BBQ sauce added a nice kick without overpowering the meat. The portions were generous, and the kids slider was a great size. We will definitely be back!

We found Boudreaux's and boy, the ratings did not lie! First thing I noticed was the ambience. It was a nice, familiar southern vibe that I wasn't expecting to see in Colorado. Apologies in advance for not remembering names but, we were greeted by our server who was extremely friendly. She was prompt and attentive to our whole group. We put in our orders, I ordered the Loaded Baked Potato with Brisket, Loaded Mac & Cheese with Brisket and Baked Beans. Being that I consider myself not to be the biggest BBQ fan, not liking super smoky flavor, I was skeptical... I was very pleasantly surprised. Before getting to the food, I want to touch briefly on the owner and grill master of Boudreaux's. Again, very sorry I cannot remember his name but, after we spoke with him, I couldn't have been more eager to try his BBQ. He told us a little about his past and his experience in BBQ. He let us know that the larger racks of ribs weren't quite ready and brought out some "smaller" racks that were ready. These didn't seem small to me and my friends said that they were excellent. His passion in his craft is very admirable and reassuring that we came to the right place. I don't have anything to compare this brisket to as it is the first time I've had brisket but, I know that this was some damn good brisket. It was juicy, full of flavor and the "burnt" parts were surprisingly sweet. The beans were delicious with a nice sweetness. The Mac & Cheese was nice and creamy. The portions were definitely more than enough. All of it was great! I paid cash and I am writing this review a few days later so, I can't quite remember how much I paid - I know it wasn't pricy - and I'd absolutely pay it again! Thank you Boudreaux's for your hospitality and delicious BBQ! I wish you all the best!

It is a beautiful space with the original restored bar the centerpiece of space. We just had cocktails, but you can get a limited menu here too. For cocktails I tried one of their specialty drinks the Cowboy Jam (which actually has blackberry jam in it). It sounded odd, but was actually just a little fruity and sweet with a punch of booze. The hubby stuck to whiskey sours and loved them (they will make them with or without egg whites). For my last cocktail I just did an old fashioned with house bourbon and it was wonderful. They really made a balanced cocktail (not too sweet, just a hint of orange and bitters). Comfy barstools, friendly staff and big windows to people watch on the street. Or just take your drink into the very plush and welcoming hotel lobby. I loved it and wished we had come sooner, we will definitely be back and recommend it to others.

I asked for more rinds to go with my chili. I received 4, yes 4 on a plate. The pork had so much fat on it, I was having to cut it off with a knife before I could eat it. The bill came, I was totally shocked, I was charged $4.00 for the 4 pork rinds that were brought to me on a plate. I wasn't told there was an extra charge for more crackles. I was upset that the waitress, never said there was an extra charge, charging a $1.00 per pork rind is ridiculous. I was NOT impressed to say the least. We drove from Colorado Springs, I won't be coming back. I make better chili, no fat, just great flavor.

Booked a Train Ride in February for my B-Day in April and called them prior to confirm. Inquired about food and thy said yes they have food Happy Endings Caboose which was also promoted in whatever ticket you purchased. Arrived for my B-Day and severely disappointed as I arrived 2hrs early drove down from Denver 2.5hr drive just to have a Breakfast Birthday and Train Ride to find out no Happy Endings Caboose is closed during weekday even though the listing says open to find out no they are not open and was never told also no mention on the Website. Why couldn't anybody say anything to the Customers that purchased tickets expecting maybe a bite to eat or drink before the train ride and want to experience the Restaurant instead no Breakfast/Brunch in Cañon City have to drive out of the City 30min away. Definitely a disappointing way to start my b-day thanks Royal Gorge wish you told me the Restaurant is closed because then I would have done something different instead of going to a gas station for a bag of chips and cancelling my trip. I'll go somewhere else that I can enjoy my B-Day and Breakfast/Brunch. Thanks a lot for ruining my B-Day I just wanted a simple relaxing day to myself to enjoy a nice breakfast and train ride before going to work tomorrow but nope you have made it suck again thanks a lot for nothing but a waste of time. Now they told me they are not refunding my money so I lost out not only the money but the pleasant experience on my B-Day worst day ever. I found a seat and settled in. I already knew what I was going to order based on customer favorites and recommendations. Pros: Service was quick. I'm pretty sure it was also because of going early in the day. I ordered an unsweet ice tea and got two food items. Started with the Jalapeño Popper Queso. This was very good. I like how the cheese tasted a little sweeter rather than the typical nacho style cheese. I brought that home. I then ordered the customer favorite grinder sandwich no tomato. This is hit or miss. The good is the sandwich isn't as big as I initially thought. Perfect portion size for me anyways. And it was filled with meats and condiments. Cons: This is where the bad comes in. The sandwich, though very good, wasn't anything special. Plus the mayo was way too much. Also the chips were extremely salty that I couldn't eat more than a few. Think no more than 5. Those are the main downsides. Recommended? Probably. I will be back with my husband to see how he likes it. I saved him some of the quest to try. I would order something different next time. For me it was an average meal. Great service though.
