Trish was right there with us helping me "fluff" my dress for this photo

Originally when I started wedding planning, I always thought to myself that I was one of those cool/calm/collected/casual... although organized and knew exactly what I wanted... brides that didn't need a wedding planer, I GOT THIS! Well, let me tell you, Trish and Drew with The Walk Down The Aisle, completely changed my original mindset on thinking I didn't want or need a wedding planner for a multitude of reasons. It was 7 weeks before my wedding and I just found out my original venue was hit from the Feb storms in Palm Springs and construction wasn't going to be completed in time. I was lost, stressed, scrambling trying to figure out what next. Where were my guests going to stay? I need a venue, a caterer, rentals, etc. And I have less than 2 months to replan a wedding I had been envisioning and planning for the last 10 months. I am so lucky that yelp led me to this dream team. Trish took the time to discuss my worries, thoughts, desires, budgets and help formulate plans to quickly move forward. She helped with new ideas, possibilities and quickly contacted other vendors and venues in the area within walkable distance from our original venue. Anything I brought up she would be right there, prepared, to answer all my questions: what would this cost, is it reasonable to execute, do we have the time for this, is it worth it? Are there better or different ideas in this realm? She was 100% available by phone, email, text, carrier pigeon, whatever anytime of the day to myself or my now husband. She met with us in person to tour new venues and just like that we had a whole new plan, executed to perfection. Trish is organized, communicative, attentive, connected, visual and always thinks 3 steps ahead. And then theres Drew. Let me tell you about Drew.... He is a "day of" that works with Trish and he quickly turned into my other BFF, aside from Trish. Drew is such a kind and caring soul and he was "the talk" of all my wedding guests. "Who was the guy in the killer boots?? WE LOVED HIM". He organized every small detail exactly how I wanted it in a visually appealing and absolute STUNNING way. He organized all vendors the day of, everything I brought from home, stayed on timeline, handled every mishap and found solutions quickly without interrupting my husbands or my day. Oh yeah, and he did this for us at two different venues a half mile apart... Overall, I am so glad everything happened in the exact way it happened. Our wedding turned out better than I ever could have imaged with the help of this Dream Team. Our ceremony and cocktail hour was perfect at the Villa Royale, and our dinner and reception was beyond all our hopes and dreams at Mr. Lyons. I couldn't have done it without the two of them and I will recommend this team to any bride that I cross paths with in the Palm Springs region.

I cannot say enough good things about Trish. I have had the pleasure of working multiple weddings with The Walk Down the Aisle, and as a wedding photographer I can put 100% of my trust in her and her team. Trish has a way of getting things done, no matter what the task, no matter what the obstacle, before you have even anticipated it, she has already handled it. There are so many moving parts to a wedding day, and Trish manages them all effortlessly. Trish is a champion of her couples and her vendors. Her confidence and ease is so calming and gives couples the mental space to fully enjoy their day. From a vendor's perspective, her cool cadence allows vendors to perform at their best with the knowledge that they are FULLY supported. I am so excited to work with Trish in the future, and cannot recommend her enough to couples getting married. She knows her stuff inside and out, and hiring her is going to be one of the best choices you make for your wedding day.

Trish went above and beyond in every aspect on our special day. My wife and I worked with Trish for our outdoor wedding at the Old Polo Estate in September and it was everything we hoped it would be. In the months, weeks, and days leading up to the wedding Trish was able to take our thoughts and focus them down into a vision and then helped us execute to perfection. As the wedding approached Trish worked with all of our vendors to ensure everything went off without a hitch (spoiler alert, it was perfect) keeping us in the loop all the way. Trish was familiar with the majority of the vendors we booked on our own, and was invaluable in providing quality vendors references for us along the way. For our rehearsal dinner, Trish (somehow) managed to organize a group of 16 bridesmaids and groomsmen and walk them through the entire ceremony in under an hour. On the day of the wedding, Trish was on-site early, and even brought coffee for the bride and myself (thank youuu) and worked with the venue staff, vendors, and guests to ensure that the wedding party had nothing to worry about. The ceremony was perfect, and Trish and her staff worked to ensure the transition from the ceremony, to the reception was as smooth as possible, and it showed. Towards the end of the reception, Trish and her staff ensured everyone was happy, and stayed until each vendor had left. Trish thank you for all of your help :) Austen & Caitlin

Wow. Trish and her team were the absolute best. We could not have pulled off our desert wedding without them. Trish was so kind and supportive and got things DONE! We had some unplannable challenges arise that might come with any off-the-grid desert wedding in the middle of nowhere -- but Trish handled them like a boss! She was able to work her magic and made sure we had a smooth, fun, and just perfect wedding day! We were so glad to have her on our team. She has a special ability to make you feel comfortable while her team orchestrates a beautiful experience. Team Trish!!!

Trish is seriously the best wedding planner ever! Every recommendation she had from hair and make-up... To food... To the photographer... To the flowers was truly perfect. I think what was so amazing about Trish was how she was able to work with our Venue to do things they wouldn't normally do (e.g., bring in an outside caterer). She also was able to quickly get in sync with the vibe of wedding we were going for using just a few pictures. We love Trish! She seriously designed and organized a dream wedding that exceed every single expectation.

I was crazy enough to plan a wedding in California (while I live in New York). I needed some hands on the ground, someone who knew the scene in the desert. Once I spoke with Trish on the phone, I knew she was the person I needed. Trish has a way of puling ideas and your vision out of you to help plan the perfect day. We had a beautiful wedding at Rimrock Ranch, and Trish helped us manage all of our vendors, and alert us to the little things you may not know about the area/venue. She was a master of rentals, and execution. She was always there for me, and never went MIA. I had no worries that weekend, and it was all because of Trish!! Thank You for helping us with our special day (and the rehearsal the night before)!!!!!!

From our first meeting, Gwen made sure we were taken care of -- from a detailed list of recommended vendors (all of whom were amazing), so check-ins as we got closer to our date, being available as my stress started to spike, her rockstar team who welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed -- and most of all, the most magical backdrop for our special day. Rimrock was perfect. We had about 120 guests, which felt like the perfect size for us. There was enough parking for all (we did encourage carpooling and pre-booking taxis just to be sure). We had several of our friends stay on the ranch with us, which made the weekend even more special. We held a welcome dinner Friday night, with about 40-50 people -- Ranch staff made sure we had plenty of adult beverages while we enjoyed everyone's company. The Hatch House was lovely, and the perfect spot for me and my ladies to get our hair and makeup done before the ceremony. And the ceremony location -- pure magic. The venue naturally created so many beautiful photo opportunities for our guests, with that gorgeous sunset leaving everyone in awe. Gwen even offered to let us take some wedding photos with one of her horses! Not too hot or cold, but they had plenty of blankets for anyone who needed one. By the time it was over, my gratitude was endless -- Gwen, Eric and their team took such good care of us, and I felt so happy with every single moment. Five stars, highly recommend!!! I hired Celeste with "venue 19" for my wedding on October 12th, 2024 and I was completely disappointed the entire time. The music was playing ads when I had already told Celeste multiple times I have Spotify premium that she can use. The sound was going In and out the entire time even though she assured me that her brother was a technical wiz and had a great sound system. (This was also in our contract to have working audio) The colors I chose and confirmed with her 5 times was also not present at the wedding whatsoever. I had actually reached out to her 4 or 5 times to let her know if she can't get the colors and theme I was going for them I would pay for the decorations and flowers myself. The start time was the biggest downfall of the wedding. I had confirmed with celeste more than a handful of times that my guests will arrive at 4pm cocktails and ceremony will start promptly at 5pm. Multiple emails, text messages, agendas, and wedding invitations had the times and she still asked the vendors to come 2 to hours later. (Spoke with each vendor and they confirmed Celeste lied to them about start times) My guests and myself were waiting for hours for everything to get started. Drinks were hot and left in the sun so those that came on time couldn't enjoy anything. She also had her two dogs running around the venue the entire time begging my guests for food, running on my dress, and jumping on chairs where people were eating. She also had my guests take their own chairs/benches themselves from the ceremony area to the dinning area. Which might I add was also a complete disaster since she had no lighting. My guests were eating in complete darkness the entire time. I had to pay my camera guy extra money so that he can bring out some lighting of his own. (Didn't last long since he was not prepared to supply the event lighting) this was also in my contract to have lighting provided by Celeste. A dance floor and tent was also in my contract. She did not have any tents whatsoever. The dance floor was not strong enough to hold any weight. The boards were not up to code and had holes so we were all stuck in our tables with no lights. Unfortunately I mistakenly trusted her to be the officiant of the wedding which she also ruined. Could have been such a special moment for me and my husband that she ruined. She was flustered, forgot her place twice and two several minutes to get back on track, as well as forgetting the exchanging of rings part. She started her speech by talking about herself for several minutes and telling the crowd to not be mad at her because none of the mishaps were her fault... I had reached out to Celeste so many times to offer my help and extra money if needed. I was over the top patient with her and the only thing I received in return was excuses by her playing the victim. She ended everything by sending me threatening emails as text messages that she would sue me if my friends and family did not stop leaving bad reviews (reviews she had taken down by yelp)

We went out to twentynine palms to see a friend of ours play a show at The Palms restaurant. With not too much to offer near by I plugged in the address into Yelp and saw that this place was close enough. I called Robin and told her we REALLY wanted to stay and was just so hoping they had a room available in the house. She said, sure, but she couldn't guarantee what the place would look like due to a bad sandstorm they had just endured. This place is like cowboy heaven. The cleanliness, immaculate. No sign of any sand storm. Every inch of the land is ornately and meticulously designed by her and her husband Manuel. Vintage objects placed here and there making every step of the landscape look picturesque. They greeted us so warmly and gave us a small tour of the outside including their beautiful salt water pool. We weren't prepared for the inside. All refurbished wood, native american carpet motifs, vintage knick knacks galore, and not to mention a stereo with a great record collection as well as air-conditioning and a TV. We were so happy to be at the Tower Homestead we quickly raced off to see our friend in concert and quickly came back so we could embrace this beautiful ranch. Manuel anticipated our move and when we came back he had placed salsa and chips on the table for us to snack on! In the morning Robin cooked us a great organic breakfast. Manuel took us around and we chatted about the history of the place. We got up early just to enjoy their company and the morning desert. Right before we left we visited Robins amazing store in town called Cowboy Attic where my friend and I couldn't help but buy some of that cowboy decor we had been ensconced in at the ranch. We told Robin and Manuel this wouldn't be the last time they see us. We are currently thinking of things we can do close by just so we have a reason to go back and stay. Without a doubt the best decision I have ever made on a Bed and Breakfast.

I honestly felt leading up to the wedding that our wedding was being held hostage. She nickeled and dimed us for everything and was dishonest. When I looked at the photos on VRBO and Google (search "pipes canyon lodge wedding"), I was impressed by the 20 5-star reviews and the gorgeous weddings held at the property. In my mind, if this place is nice enough to be a wedding venue, it must be well worth $700+/night. At that price, I was expecting a 5-star property. It IS a charming house with a great layout, views, and amazing staff (see other VRBO reviews), but I left disappointed. Here's why: 1. It's dusty. REALLY dusty. Considering that the profile lists "low allergen environment" as a selling point, we were surprised to find that we couldn't even sit on the couch in the living room without having an allergy attack. There was a layer of dust on the lampshades and art in my friend's room and I woke up with a completely clogged nose and watery eyes when I slept on the twin beds. This place is in need of a serious deep cleaning. I suggest getting the living room couch and all bedroom throw pillows professionally cleaned and covering everything with bed sheets in between guests. 2. Rats outside. There were NONE in the house. However, one side of the patio was covered with rat droppings in the morning. From the porch, we watched rats scamper from one cactus to another. I would suggest putting rat traps on the side of the house to help with this. Our dog had to stay inside because she kept eating the rat droppings. 3. No black out curtains in the bedrooms. Ok, this is a desert house. The sun is in full swing by 6:30am every day. For the comfort of your guests, please hang up some black out curtains. Not everyone wants full sun at the wee hours of the morning. Considering the price we paid, it is not unreasonable to expect to sleep past 6:30am. 4. Great kitchen, but no staples. Sugar? Coffee? Napkins? Sponges? Nope! The kitchen had a very nice selection of pots, pans, and appliances, but we had to buy even the most basic items. When guests arrive at 7:30pm, it'd be nice to have some coffee available for that first morning. 5. Cigarette butts all around the yard and on the porch. It's a rental, I get it. I expected a "Non Smoking House" to clean that up.   6. Beat up furniture inside house. Beds gave us backaches. I paid a premium expecting a luxury rental or at least something nicer than my own house. May want to consider different pricing for weddings vs. families.

I highly recommend Edgewood Mansion for any type of event whether it's a birthday trip, family reunion, corporate retreat or any other purpose where you want to feel like you're at home, or provided for like a Queen. The location which is located higher up in the mountains is away from the traffic. However, the Desert Lily's website does not reflect this change. When you look at all of the reviews on Yelp/Trip Advisor/Google, you will note that Carrie's level of service is amazing. That was one of our selling points when choosing this place. It was disappointing. The positive of this place is that the location and views are AMAZING. About 2 miles out of the JT park entrance. Couldn't be more convenient. HOWEVER, the beautiful views and location is ruined by the service (or lack thereof) by the new owners. There is no employee on site on a regular basis. No one. So, you need help with the wi-fi? Need more towels? Have a question? You have to call the number listed, and leave a message, and you will get a text from a bot a couple hours later which doesn't help you at all. You don't get to talk to a real person unless they decide to call you, which didn't happen most of the time I tried to reach out. The website states that all of the cabins have wi-fi. That's one of the reasons we picked this place; we all had work to do. However, the wi-fi doesn't reach out to the cabins. And, cell service is spotty on premises (there were three of us in our group--they had ATT & Sprint--no luck for them. I had Verizon, which worked). So, even if you want to IG some amazing pics or just get your email and you don't have Verizon, you have to go to the main house which sucks. Another reason we picked this place was that the cabin listed had a grill we could use. There are very little dining options in JT, so we thought we would eat most of our meals in. The grill has got to be 30 years old, and is unusable. So that was a major bummer too. The cabin we stayed in (Biltmore) was functional, but needs a little TLC. Not expecting perfection whatsoever; however, one of the drawer faces fell off when we tried to pull it out. There's no screens on the upstairs windows; bugs abound at night and it got really stuffy up there. The cabin is probably 30+ years old, and it just needs a little face lift. It's cute and funky. We met another traveler who hadn't been provided the information when she arrived on how to get into her room. She rambled around the place for a few hours before someone got back to her. So, our experience wasn't unusual. The main house has a sign that says "ring bell for service" but no one answers. They need to take that down because it sets up expectations. As I told the owner, if I wanted an AirBNB, I would have booked one. However, I was given the impression that I was staying at a BNB. This is not a BNB. It's serve yourself. And the website, to this day, still bills itself as a BNB. About me: late 40s, low key and not high maintenance. Travel a lot. I know what's reasonable to expect, and what's unreasonable. The new owners need to do a better job communicating to their guests that they are on their own.
