The store was very clean and well organized. Usually, I ONLY support mom and pop shops but was just passing through and was in a hurry. I typically don't ever write reviews but there was a young gentleman named Jacob that impressed me today. I liked how when I walked in I was greeted with a smile, (You don't see that anymore unless you support a local business) the young man was eager to help me and wasn't judgmental at all. Jacob has leadership potential. In 40 years I haven't been helped without feeling like a burden or even just greeted with a simple smile when walking in the room. I have a 2 yr old who was moved literally 2 products while I was asking Evan a question " Which wasn't answered because he was to worried about the 2 items my 2 year old moved". As soon as I noticed it i immediately corrected my son and placed the items back to where they belonged. As an assistant manager he should be well aware that moms are going to come into there store w there kids. My son wasn't making a mess, being loud or anything just simply moved 2 things. Visited this location today to try to find a preworkout that doesn't make my head explode. Lucky, to have John working when I came in. He told me exactly what ingredient is causing my skin to crawl and which preworkouts don't have that. Also left with some reasonably priced creatine and a Ryse energy drink which is divine... Basically got a crash course lesson on what supplements to buy! Not one of those places where they only look like they know what they're talking about. They practice and preach!! Only downside is that they don't have AG1 greens. Please get this product on your shelves!!! Why not sell one of the most marketed greens available?!! read more

This is sort of unbelievable to me... We have gone to this location a few times and have had good experiences, today that was not the case. I went in looking for a specific protein powder that was out of stock. I asked the person working if they had more in back by chance. He looked it up and told me they had some in their Tempe location or I should try Amazon. THEN he told me they had some that had been received but it was not on the shelves yet, I turned around and there were 9 medium sized boxes that were sitting there ready to be unpacked. I asked if he could open them up and he just said, "well I don't know which box it is." Seriously how bad can you be at your job? Are you so overwhelmed with your one customer that you can't open a few boxes? You think it's better for me to drive all the way to Tempe, order it on Amazon or "come back tomorrow" when the boxes are sitting RIGHT THERE with a friggin box knife sitting on top? My friend and I went to the shop Friday and asked employee if there was product for cramping in my legs and he just said no, what specifically am I looking for. Today I was told I return too much(min you the last time I purchased was December 2022), therefore was unable to return a canister of protein that's $39. i had a wonderful experience from the moment I walked in. I was greeted by the lovely staff. Gavin approached me and asked me what I was looking for. he took me through the store and showed me many options as he taught me about each product. he is very knowledgeable when it comes to these products! This specific location is not very good. The inventory is inconsistent. The customer service is so-so depending on who is working. The most bothersome thing to me is the store manager, Carrie, knows absolutely nothing about sports nutrition and very little to nothing at all about supplements in general. If I could give zero Stars I would. I am writing this review on behalf of my elderly parents (mid-70s) which went to the vitamin shoppe to purchase a multivitamin and probiotic. There's one employee there that is extremely unhelpful, rude, unfriendly, and refuses to provide any sort of customer service-ANDREW. I've actually called and complained about him four times already to a manager who assured me that they would take care of it which obviously they have not. Because when my parents went in they got stuck with ANDREW and he was extremely rude, did not welcome them nor ask how he could help, he would not even look up from his computer and take time away to go and help my parents find their products but merely said they might be Inthe fridge or on that shelf over there pointing in a random direction, he told my parents they don't even have their products yet my dad found what he needed after wandering around aimlessly for about 20 minutes, when he went to the till to purchase his items ANDREW ignored him and my dad had to find another employee there to ring the items up. This is unacceptable customer service and no one should be treated in this manner especially the elderly. My parents are extremely upset by this experience. They're actually not even ones to complain or make a big deal about things so the fact that they had said something to me and are very upset just goes to show how awful of experience was and how Andrew is completely disrespectful and rude. read more

Me n my fiance are bodybuilders and have been coming to this location for many years and always recommend this location to our fellow gym members. The sales acccociate Jeremiah is always very attentive and knowledgable about the supplements and always helps us pick a good product, always greets us like family when we come in. I've been to this place before but this time was unfortunately my last. Went in there today around 2:15 PM and saw two employees helping customers. I went and grabbed the bottle of pills I wanted then went to the counter. I stood there for a few minutes as I acknowledged that the employees were still helping customers. A Caucasian male employee with a beard and mustache glanced at me and grabbed a bottle of protein or pre work out. Then walked around the aisle to continue to help a customer who obviously didn't know what he wanted to buy. I literally gave him a few more minutes to help the customer who he could spend hours helping, who may end up not even buying anything. I am always happy with my products from Vitamin Shoppe, but disappointed with the service provided. While shopping there today, Paul was not very friendly or welcoming. I can live with that, but I was extremely surprised to see how he was wearing his mask. When he was actually wearing it, he only had it covering his mouth, not his nose. Any time he talked, though, he pulled his mask down off of his mouth. There is not much of a point to wearing a mask if you are going to use it incorrectly. Plus, I didn't see him wash or sanitize his hands after pulling his mask down. He then proceeded to ring me up, putting his contaminated hands all over the products I bought. I'll be finding somewhere else to shop for supplements - the whole point of buying supplements is to stay healthy but I am worried about catching COVID at this place given how ineffectively masks are being used. read more

This place is close, clean, and customer friendly. The staff always speaks and offers assistance. The shelves are usually stocked with what I need. They are very well versed in nutrition and the products they offer. They seem to like it when I ask questions. The Vitamin Shoppe has a free member card they use to send coupons and specials. Couple minutes later she came back to the phone and said yes but she only has one brand. That's fine. I go over to the store and ask for the potassium iodide. She hands me a bottle of caplets. The staff here is so knowledgable about their products, and they actually care about helping you find exactly what you need! I called to ask if they had a certain green superfood powder in stock and Stephan looked and said they were out of it. Okay, end of phone call. Not two minutes later, Stephan called back to let me know that he found some in the back inventory and he would hold it for me! Such great customer service! Another guy helped me find alternatives to the artificially colored pre-workouts, and 'stack' my own. I really love this place and am thankful it's in my neighborhood. Excellent, diverse selection of vitamins. Staff has classic vitamin/sales training, so take advice with grain of salt. Consult someone who knows how to get your vitamins from real food first. The first time I was there I had a really great experience. The two older ladies were kind and help me find what I need. I was just in there recently and this blonde guy with shoulder length hair was trying asking me questions of what I'm taking and keep referring to my friend as a moron. I could accept that he didn't agree but for a business to call someone else a name and insulting them, I did not care for that. Then he went on to stating that the item I was taking should only be taken if I wanted to cough up blood after two months also the ingredient in there is help to treat asthma. First off, my friend and I have been using it for over a year and I am not coughing up blood. Secondly, I do have asthma so I guess the product work well for me and, my friend doesn't have asthma but is still taking it and still not coughing up blood. Then he goes on to preaching how he's so "knowledgeable". After that I didn't care to listen to his advice since everything he told me was already bull and I've already done the research before using the pre workout. I have shopped at your store in AZ for years spending THOUSANDS of dollars. I am a a so called VIP member. I recently received the coupon booklet in the mail. I had left it at home, but was near the store where I always purchase by vitamans. I needed a particular one. But realized I didn't have it with me. I need this vitaman and would not have the time to go back for days. So when I purchaed it I asked the sales clerk if she would go ahead and honor it. She basically said no. I then asked if I brought the coupon in later would they give me the credit, again told no. REALLY!!! Hardly any one uses paper coupons any more. You should have your member info in your system and be able to look up my account and honor those coupons. There are too many choices for vitimans where the pricing is better and coupons are honored without bringing it in becuase they can look me up in their system and honor it.
