Titan Gym is honestly one of the best gyms I've been to in years. While it's a smaller facility, it…read moretruly has everything you need to reach your personal fitness goals--whether that's general strength training, bodybuilding, powerlifting, or simply shedding a few pounds. There's plenty of equipment to go around, and even during peak hours you rarely have to wait more than a couple of minutes to use a machine, bench, or squat rack. The gym is also exceptionally clean; it's clear the owners take pride in the space, because you'll barely find a speck of dirt or even a smudge on the mirrors. The owners, Norm and Joanna, are some of the nicest people you'll meet. They're also very knowledgeable trainers who offer personalized training sessions tailored to your individual goals. What Titan Gym may lack in size, it more than makes up for with its sense of community. The members are incredibly welcoming and diverse--ranging from college students and young professionals to parents and older adults staying active in their later years. It's a place that supports both casual gym-goers and serious lifters alike (including a member who recently placed first in a state powerlifting competition). You also won't find the stereotypical "gym bro" atmosphere here--people are respectful of each other's space, time, and noise levels. The people here also organize activities outside the gym as well, ranging from Spartan races and marathons to casual hikes, beer festivals, concerts, and even weekend gaming. At the time of writing this review, Titan Gym is located in Alamo Ranch, though they plan to move to a much larger facility later this year (close to the Santikos Theatre). That will be a great step forward, as the current space can feel a little cramped in certain areas. Still, even in its current form, Titan Gym manages to create an environment that feels welcoming, supportive, and genuinely enjoyable to be part of. I'm personally a Texas transplant, and finding this gym went a long way to making this place a new home.

The first stretch itself was a total waste for me to be up front. I left feeling just as in pain and tight as when I came in. The stretches were very basic and none of them required an assistant. The locations that needed stretching were overlooked. Even though everyone was so kind, professional, and caring, I didn't plan on returning just because I didn't need to spend money for stretches I could do myself that didn't really help my situation. This is where the review changes. A couple of people reached out to me over email and bent over backwards to take care of me which was totally unexpected. It's been very humbling to see what real customer service looks like. I mean everyone shot it out of the park there. On the customer service and professional end, I can't rave enough. They deserve a five-star review.

Visiting from the Reston, VA location -- which is my new home studio…read more Came here twice, both on the week of Christmas. Last visited: Dec' 23. My first coach was Andre, who was chill and laid back. He was friendly and down to earth, and had a really cool and relatable way of explaining the template and especially the floor exercises. Probably one of the easiest to understand and friendliest coaches I've had at Orangetheory Fitness. My second coach was Tiffany. This was on the next day, and a little later in the morning. Actually, it was the same day as the Everest signature challenge. I was not prepared for that or even know about it going in, but I did my best. Got a spot on the leaderboard after all. The first work out was a hardcore endurance run, which helped build up my endurance and helped especially the next day with Everest challenge (even though I didn't know about it, lol). It was a little more manageable thanks to the endurance training the day before, I believe. Also, forgot to mention but they have the newer treadmills at this location in Alamo Ranch. You know, the shiny new ones that go up to 15 MPH. They have those. I certainly remember, because I went all-out at an intensity somewhere between 12 MPH and 15 MPH, on at least one occasion. Anyway, I thought coach and front desk were both amicable and friendly in general. Had good experience overall. Also, they were handing out free Builders Plant Protein bars, so I snagged a couple of them for post-workout muscle recovery. Even if those things are overall not good for weight loss, especially as they have a ton of fat and added sugar. I wish they would give out healthier protein bars, like RXBar or similar, which has all-natural ingredients. Anyways, I enjoyed it here at the studio in Alamo Ranch at the San Antonio, TX location. Convenient times and location, in my case. I would recommend this studio, as overall my experience was positive. Hopefully will be back sometime in the future.

The trainer looks amazing, and is full of energy. Everyone at the camp is there to lose weight, and have the same mindset. My first day was fun. i liked that the exercises change constantly and when someone felt they couldn't finish an exercise everyone cheered on. It's hard to get bored. The location is used for cheer-leading practices, and has plenty of parking and is right off 410. Prices are reasonable but i didn't feel pressured or got a huge sales pitch either. At the begining and ending of each day, members go around saying how much they have lost.Members there had lost between 25-80 lbs in the last 6 months. The bootcamp feels more like a family working out than just strangers I signed up for a month initially and ended up doing it for more than 6months.You have options of 1, 2x, 3x or 5x a week depending on your budget. The workouts do make you sweat and work your muscles but for someone who has never hit the gym, its doable, and if you cant keep up she modifies your exercise so you can continue with the group. As part of the bootcamp, you are given a new diet. The diet consist of more proteins than carbs but you do eat 5 times a day, and do not need to buy expensive food items. You wont be going to bed hungry! The only real expense is the protein poweder that is around $25 but the rest is chicken , vegetables, and things you already eat. I ended up losing 30lb pounds and now attend a gym everyday to continue.
