Dr. Wafful is the first chiropractor I've ever visited and he and his team are fantastic. After a foot injury required me to wear a boot brace, I found my back giving me trouble as I was walking off kilter. From the first session and every one after I felt immediate relief in my back and shoulders. It got to where I looked forward to going to my next session. Dr. Wafful and his team and friendly and helpful. Dr. Wafful is kind and genuinely listens and cares. I have recommended him now to several friends. Also, I should mention I have visited during the age of COVID and they take obvious safety measures throughout the office. Please My first review for this place as well, as all that info is still relevant as well. Dr. Rob is super thorough and has improved my quality of life quite a bit. During my initial visit I told him about my pains and the thoughts I had about them. We then sat around for a while and he asked me to show him how I honestly sit at work all day, what my general range of motion was, and he even offered me a few stretched and exercises to help keep me feeling alright in between my first initial visits. I've been coming here for a few years now and I hate to address other people's concerns via my review... but I know that Dr. Rob has always been very direct in his explanations and ideas. I know that he'd never say anything like "Parkinson's can be cured with chiro adjustment". We have personally talked how changes in lifestyle have been known to change your body and correct disease and chronic illness, but not just a chiropractic treatment. This office is calm, smells nice, and everyone who works here is very welcoming. I used to bill my old insurance when I came here and at one point we decided to pay out of pocket and they had no problem letting me do that. Since then my insurance has switched and I pay cash, and they were even nice enough to offer me a discount and I was super stoked about that. I have always been one to avoid making doctor's visits. From the very start of the process (finding an appointment sometime in the next millennium) to the intake (confronting the busy receptionist who has no time for pleasantries), and to the darkest hour (waiting endlessly in a cold room where the most recent magazine is Kids Highlights from 1992), I find that most doctor's offices are literally the worst place on earth. At Broadway Chiropractic, none of the aforementioned annoyances are true. This clinic is outstanding, with an extremely competent and caring doctor and an exceedingly warm and friendly receptionist and nurse. It's very easy to make an appointment and to be seen, and the clinic has a range of availability that allows me to come in for my adjustment right after work. On my second visit, the entire staff greeted me by name when I walked through the door. I sat down, opened a book, and got one word in before Dr. Wafful ("like the cousin of the pancake") was ready to see me--and I was fifteen minutes early! The adjustment itself for my chronic neck, back, and shoulder pain takes only about 7 minutes and I'm on my way home in 10, feeling much better than when I arrived (which is really just the syrup on top of a perfect visit). Dr. Wafful addresses all of my concerns and explains the adjustment procedure very clearly, which is a feat considering I'm a walking game of 20 questions. I moved to San Antonio from Utah about a year ago. I had an excellent chiropractor in Utah that I utilized for over 7+ years. So, I'm very choosy in this area, because my view is that all chiropractors are not the same. Different treatment methods and different philsophy about what they can and can't do. I chose Broadway based on some limited research. I can say that Dr. Rob and his team are easily the best I've ever been associated. They are not just professional, but they are highly personable. They genuinely care about you and don't treat you as just another client. They want you to feel, well, better. The front office is extremely helpful from start to finish. I receive texts on reminders, they fit me in if I just pop in, and the entire experience is not only refreshing but relaxing. I look forward to these appointments. Plus, as I said, they are highly personable. Dr. Rob knows his profession. He has never spoken against other professions- something I did encounter often in Utah (and my profession is science), and was always transparent in what could and could not be accomplished. I came in recently after having hurt my back when I fell off the roof. Stay off the roof, Yelpers. They saw me quickly and the doctor treated my back in a professional, competent manner. They hooked me up to this electric shock machine that worked my back muscles. It helped. The doctor was caring, and insightful. He gave me a printout of different stretches that aided in my recovery. The only problem I had with this place was that when I arrived, I was in such pain. I was even using a cane. I could hardly stand up. I made it to the waiting room, and let the secretary know who I was, and why I was there. She gave me some paperwork to fill out, and I returned to my seat to fill it out. Turned out, she had more paperwork for me to fill out. She held it out for me to get up, in much pain, to come get it. I gave her an extremely dirty look, as I could hardly move, and I wasn't hopping up anytime soon to get more paperwork. I tried to reach it with my cane, and yelped in pain. She rolled her eyes, and shook the papers at me, as if to say, "What, do you expect me to come hand this to you?!" I was pissed. No compassion on her part. Fortunately, the doctor did such a good job, and the stretches prescribed did the trick, and I was up and at-'em by the next day. Unfortunately, I had already been pressured into a followup appointment the next day. I was relieved that they allowed me to cancel my appointment that day, without the twenty four hours' notice that many doctors require. I assured them that it wasn't due to my being flaky, it was because the doctor did such a good job. They were happy to cancel the appointment. I told them that I'd probably be back again soon, since I'm always hurting my self doing stupid stuff. read more

I see Dr. Joy on a monthly basis for just a check-up maintenance alignment, nothing more serious than that. This is my go-to location as they are not insistent with repeat appointments, ordering health pills, attending seminars, etc. You can surely do all those things, they just don't get pushy with it - which is a good thing! To me, anyways. I'm always amazed how she always pinpoints the problems. She knows I sleep on my side or carry my heavy purse on a particular shoulder. Either she's psychic, or she's actually knowledgeable to remedy my aches and pains. I recommended my roommate to Dr. Joy as well after she had her car accident, and she is now a repeat client as well. I simply call the day of to set-up an appointment, and there are no hassles to doing so. Same-day visits, hooray! And just a note that most insurances don't cover chiropractic visits, however it usually does go towards your deductible. One less star as the location is further than others, but would recommend regardless. read more

Dr. Rob is a very competent and caring chiropractor. His front desk staff and assistants are incredibly nice and friendly (a drastic change from my last chiropractor - Quantum Chiropractic). They make a huge difference in patient experience; their positive energy is perfect for a place of healing. Prices are very good, it's easy to get appointments. Dr. Rob himself really listens to his patients; he's not just pretending to be empathetic, he IS empathetic. He's positive, friendly and no-frills. He's been very helpful by recommending some at-home exercises. Only downsides: some of the tables are pretty old/outdated and the treatment rooms could use a little sprucing up. But heck, maybe that's why the prices are so good. These cons are very minor compared to the pros: the excellent people who make this place great. read more

The staff is great and Dr. Rob really knows his stuff. In a relatively short period of time, my neck is greatly improved. I'll go back for maintenance. I have been going to chiropractors since the 80's. Some have been good and others, I never went back after the first visit. I have a chronic problem with my neck and am always hesitant to try a new chiropractor. After reading the reviews on yelp, I decided to give Dr. Rob a try. I was very impressed with the front desk as they took care of the insurance immediately. The staff are all professional at what they do. What really sold me on coming back was the way Dr. Rob adjusted my neck. He was not able to unlock it on the first visit but was able to get one side moving on the second visit. He showed concern for any pain/discomfort I was experiencing. The technique he used was as easy as any I have experience in the 30+ years I have been seeing chiropractors. read more

I started seeing Dr Joy in 1998 when I was experiencing daily headaches, and I have seen her regularly ever since. I have repeatedly recommend her office to ANYONE needing excellent chiropractic care. I had moved out of town for a few years and was unable to find anyone who compared with the level of care Dr Joy provides.
