    Grilled fish bowl.

The name says it all! What a spectacular view you will find. I love the grilled fish bowl, with edamame and cucumber and seaweed salad, and a scoop of rice to wrap up this fresh and delicious bowl of food. The poke nachos is a great plate to share with a generous portion of poke. Casual atmosphere and good service. Add this one to your list when in Keauhou.

Great service, good price on food and the view! This place is perfect for larger group. 6 of us were seated comfortably and able to enjoy our lunch. I love the fish tacos. Really good flavor and good salsa too. 20% for large party added to the bill. They take reservation too.

Went one night and left because after 20+ minutes didn't get service. We decided to go back. Think they just didn't have enough help and we all deserve a little grace, right? Beer was cold and food was great. Service was also good. Great view and easy location for us.

Amazing views from our love hut. I would definitely reserve the rooms at Outrigger during the week.

The view isn't the only great thing about this place the burger is hand patted and cooked to perfection. This is the best burger in the Kona area located at the Kona country club. Ice cold beers super friendly service all around great place. I definitely recommend coming here. They didn't name it the view for nothing.

The view from the patio, it was a great view and had a nice breeze.

We ordered coconut shrimp, and the ceviche which both were good. I ordered the loaded hot dog, very filling, fries were great, nachos were ok. The service was great. The ambiance was nice, overlooked the golf course and great view of the ocean.

Great view of Keauhou Bay. Yes they open! (another review was apparently at the wrong place!)

Likely the best view (hence the name) in Keauhou. Very relaxed atmosphere and huge covered patio restaurant. Plenty of shade. Good music in the background not blaring. Would be romantic hang out but not private. Great drinks. Happy Hour 2-4pm. Largest, best Poke Nachos I've ever had. Even the house salad was Big. Very friendly and attentive. So... I'll be back!! Seems like the attitude is better here than some other local places. Feel more welcome here. Good job.

    Loaded Fries with Kalua Pork

A co-worker and I were in Kona for a golf tournament later in the week ... We went four days early to get in much needed practice. We started with a round at Kona CC and then had a late lunch at The View afterward. It's an open-air venue on the 2nd floor of the clubhouse overlooking the putting green and views toward the ocean. We started with a Crown on the rocks ($10) and a Hendricks gin & tonic ($12) for me. We ordered the Ahi Poke Nachos ($20) and the Loaded Fries with a topping of kalua pork ($12). The ahi poke nachos were one of the best we've tried ... spicy aioli atop ahi poke on a bed of crisp nacho chips. The chips were freshly cooked, or at least it seemed that way to me. The loaded fries were less successful ... We like our fries extra crispy and when one gets loaded fries, the topping makes the fries soggy. It's not the fault of the kitchen; it's a characteristic of loaded fries. Perhaps loaded nachos would have been a better choice. In any event, we enjoyed our time at The View though I would have preferred air conditioning as it was a hot and muggy day. Service was attentive and personable. Four stars and recommended.

Ravenous and throat parched, the pictures for The Temple drew us in. Restaurant was empty save a family of 6 sitting in the corner. To summarize the experience the food tasted as delicious as it looked. Service was spot on. Skip the barbecue chicken tacos they were overrated. Our server warned against it but we were feeling chicken. It was a mid dish. The star of the show was the Calabrese Flatbread. It was phenomenal. Really tasty, ample cheese, marinara sauce, with large chunks of sausage that were so flavorful. The potatoes we got were supposed to be island potatoes and tasted okay with lots of Chimmichuri Sauce. Ask for more on the side to dip the potatoes in. Kona beer on tap, Michelob in bottles, and some nice house drinks to round it off. Their dessert selection looked tasty, but so full that stomach was hurting after the meal. Will be back again if I'm in the area!

I'm sure she was the only one for the entire place, basically 8 tables, so it took her longer than normal to take our order and to bring us the tab. As she was the only server, it was understandable. My husband ordered a veggie burger; I ordered coconut shrimp. My husband thought the burger was decent, not overly wow, but he enjoyed it. The fries were delicious! My coconut shrimp was tasty and nice and hot. I could've had maybe 2 more, then I would've been super happy! A bit pricey for the portion sizes, but you definitely pay for convenience. With it being at the resort, it beats going anywhere. One thing to keep in mind: it's outside and by the pool. There were kids yelling and playing the entire time we were there, so conversation was out between that and the live music. However, if you have kids, you could always send them to the pool and still maintain proper supervision whilst eating a snack!

As Wyndham owners and business professionals, we understand that sometimes our expectations far exceed our experiences. However, since the prior co-owner left, this place continues its downward trajectory. Current ownership and management should be held accountable for this continued disappointment we have experienced in the last five years. After speaking with other Wyndham owners and local business professionals we have discovered this has been a growing concern due to poor bar and grill leadership. The "golden rule" in the service industry is simple and relative to the best selling book in the world if that's your belief. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." In an environment that should appeal to all of your sensory emotions, Sunset Terrace management and ownership has failed to live up to that expectation through witnessed outbursts of rudeness and belligerence that have forced us and our neighbors and colleagues to find alternative accommodations and dining experiences until Wyndham rectifies this ongoing display of poor restaurant behavior and inconsistent service. In fact, the only thing consistent is the sunset view.

Dinner at the Theatery was such a wonderful experience, it starts when you walk into the restauraunt and are greeted by the gorgeous Hawaiian sky, an indoor outdoor experience. The decor, ambiance, music, seating arrangements, lighting, it feels intentional, intimate and classy. We ordered appetizers - focaccia and grilled flatbread. Focaccia 10/10 - crunchy, yet soft, grilled flavor and the butter. Mmmmmmmm yum. Grilled flatbread 5/10 - not what I expected... Lychee martini 10/10 - classy, tropical, sweet but not too sweet ;-) I ordered the glazed lamb shank - the flavor was beautiful, the meat was juicey, soft and fell off the bone, paired with coconut rice and coconut curry. It was an amazing mixture of different flavors that worked so well together. I think we also got the Kanpachi - it was good but the lamb was our favorite. Finished off the evening with the dessert show with the banana foster - it was way too sweet for me but the show was very entertaining to watch :-). Our favorite dessert was the lilikoi crème Brûlée. (Not pictured). Perfect balance between sweet and savory. Crunchy yet creamy. So delicious!!
