Despite having played at KCC several times, we'd never wandered into the little gem. We visited in February after our round; pleasant open air seating we were quickly greeted and shuffled to a table. Perfect golfers menus; pu-pus, sandwiches, dinner entrees, and lots of fish options. I mean what else would you get with freshest fish on the planet? I had the fish tacos on flour tortillas, the tortilla was lightly cooked which helped hold it together. The battered fish was AWESOME, the aioli sublime, and those FRIES, super good. The View, stunning. We had great service, prices were reasonable, so dont tell anyone, ok? Oh, and the little birds, they be pretty aggressive, I had to share, you know, on the d-lo, I'm sure there was a dont feed the birds sign somewhere. lol. read more

This is one of our favorite spots as it's right down the street from our parents house. The food is always good!!! Incredible happy hour and you can't beat the VIEWS. Today we tried the new smash burger which is so so ONO. We travel to New York a lot so we are pretty picky on a smash burger but the meat was so juicy and fresh and the sauce was delicious. We always love the live music too! read more

The name says it all! What a spectacular view you will find. I love the grilled fish bowl, with edamame and cucumber and seaweed salad, and a scoop of rice to wrap up this fresh and delicious bowl of food. The poke nachos is a great plate to share with a generous portion of poke. Casual atmosphere and good service. Add this one to your list when in Keauhou. read more

Went one night and left because after 20+ minutes didn't get service. We decided to go back. Think they just didn't have enough help and we all deserve a little grace, right? Beer was cold and food was great. Service was also good. Great view and easy location for us. read more

Great food, great service and beautiful view of the ocean. We were a group of six and everyone was happy.

The view isn't the only great thing about this place the burger is hand patted and cooked to perfection. This is the best burger in the Kona area located at the Kona country club. Ice cold beers super friendly service all around great place. I definitely recommend coming here. They didn't name it the view for nothing. read more

Likely the best view (hence the name) in Keauhou. Very relaxed atmosphere and huge covered patio restaurant. Plenty of shade. Good music in the background not blaring. Would be romantic hang out but not private. Great drinks. Happy Hour 2-4pm. Largest, best Poke Nachos I've ever had. Even the house salad was Big. Very friendly and attentive. So... I'll be back!! Seems like the attitude is better here than some other local places. Feel more welcome here. Good job. read more

A co-worker and I were in Kona for a golf tournament later in the week ... We went four days early to get in much needed practice. We started with a round at Kona CC and then had a late lunch at The View afterward. It's an open-air venue on the 2nd floor of the clubhouse overlooking the putting green and views toward the ocean. We started with a Crown on the rocks ($10) and a Hendricks gin & tonic ($12) for me. We ordered the Ahi Poke Nachos ($20) and the Loaded Fries with a topping of kalua pork ($12). The ahi poke nachos were one of the best we've tried ... spicy aioli atop ahi poke on a bed of crisp nacho chips. The chips were freshly cooked, or at least it seemed that way to me. The loaded fries were less successful ... We like our fries extra crispy and when one gets loaded fries, the topping makes the fries soggy. It's not the fault of the kitchen; it's a characteristic of loaded fries. Perhaps loaded nachos would have been a better choice. In any event, we enjoyed our time at The View though I would have preferred air conditioning as it was a hot and muggy day. Service was attentive and personable. Four stars and recommended. read more

The service from our server, Megan was absolutely horrendous. She gave so much attitude and ignored us most of the time we were there! We like the atmosphere but the service and attitude beyond worse than what we expected and did not deserve! Super bummed! read more

We played a round of golf and then had dinner. The food was fabulous. The ahi meal had a really large portion of perfectly seasoned and cooked ahi. The ribeye steak was also amazing! It was done just as I ordered, tender and delicious! The staff were kind and responsive and we had a wonderful waitress. And of course the ambience was so Hawai'i, open air, with an exceptional view. We are going back for another dinner soon. read more

LOVE THE VIEW AT THE VIEW ======================= My sister and I stopped in to grab a bite and enjoy the view. We did make a few mistakes as far as the food went though. The happy hour cocktails were good. DO NOT ORDER THE MOZZARELLA STICKS - These were greasy and not good at all. We ordered a grilled fish sandwich as a wrap and the fish was fried. We should have sent it back. The fries were good. We would go back for the view and really check out all the reviews before ordering food. read more

I invited a friend and we both had the steak dinner. I had mine with the salad as my side my friend had his with fries. The steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The salad fresh. The fries were great. This with the view made for an epic time for us both. If there was only one thing that could be improved it would be the listening and memory of your wait staff. Had to ask for water twice and she got the drink order mixed up. Otherwise 5 stars. Oh and the prices were very reasonable compared to other restaurants here in Kona. I'm lucky to live here so I will be back soon. Mahalo! read more

Okay. The view IS great. So if that's all you need, you'll be fine. It's sad to say that nothing else about this place inspires. Not the food - truly mediocre bar food, plus our calamari had some kind of weird plastic type bits in that might've just meant it wasn't cleaned properly or might've been something more sinister.... Our server was also "fine" just to be clear. I think our takeaway is, this is really a place that caters to members. They don't really want you there if you're not one. Nothing overtly hostile, just a feeling of not beinging welcome. We're not going back. read more

A gem of a restaurant with an unbelievable view of Keauhou bay. Large menu selection at reasonable prices. The ceviche was ono.

The View definitely lives up to the name of the having a great view. The ambiance is relaxed and chill. The service was slow we waited almost an hour for the food to be served. The food was your typical lunch menu with burgers, salads, and sandwiches. Some of the dishes didn't seem like it would take a long time to prepare and make. They didn't check on us. Many others that came after us got served before we did especially those near the bar area. The food was decent and had a lot of potential. read more

The View is a great spot for pub food, burgers and fried food. It's a locals place so embrace island time and relax and enjoy. If you are in a hurry or want a 5-start restaurant, go to California. The people that work at The View are all very friendly and Alex at the bar on Sunday mornings is a plus, he makes a great Bloody Mary. If you want to slow down and relax and try some island time, stop by The View. read more

This is a hidden gem. We've lived in Kona for years and yet we never stopped there. It is located at the Kona Country Club in Keauhou. There is a sign which says it is open to the public. Since we finally decided to eat there, we've been back several times. It has nice, open air views of Keauhou Bay and parts of the golf course. For Hawaii, the prices are very reasonable. I recommend the fish and chips. You get four pieces of fish and some of the best, slim french fries I have ever had. You can order beer battered, panko fired, or a split of the two. At $21 it is priced similar to other restaurants in the area, but the quality is better. Their burgers are a full half-pound, seasoned well, served with fries for about $14. There is a lot to choose from on the menu. The dress code is non-existent, so come as you want. It is a nice, golf course style eatery and now that we've found it, we look forward to eating there at least a couple of times a month. read more

We had a delightful meal! Seriously... the best onion rings we have ever had!
