Despite having played at KCC several times, we'd never wandered into the little gem. We visited in February after our round; pleasant open air seating we were quickly greeted and shuffled to a table. Perfect golfers menus; pu-pus, sandwiches, dinner entrees, and lots of fish options. I mean what else would you get with freshest fish on the planet? I had the fish tacos on flour tortillas, the tortilla was lightly cooked which helped hold it together. The battered fish was AWESOME, the aioli sublime, and those FRIES, super good. The View, stunning. We had great service, prices were reasonable, so dont tell anyone, ok? This is one of our favorite spots as it's right down the street from our parents house. The food is always good!!! Incredible happy hour and you can't beat the VIEWS. Today we tried the new smash burger which is so so ONO. We travel to New York a lot so we are pretty picky on a smash burger but the meat was so juicy and fresh and the sauce was delicious. We played a round of golf and then had dinner. The food was fabulous. The ahi meal had a really large portion of perfectly seasoned and cooked ahi. The ribeye steak was also amazing! It was done just as I ordered, tender and delicious! The staff were kind and responsive and we had a wonderful waitress. And of course the ambience was so Hawai'i, open air, with an exceptional view. The view isn't the only great thing about this place the burger is hand patted and cooked to perfection. This is the best burger in the Kona area located at the Kona country club. Ice cold beers super friendly service all around great place. I definitely recommend coming here. They didn't name it the view for nothing. read more

Likely the best view (hence the name) in Keauhou. Very relaxed atmosphere and huge covered patio restaurant. Plenty of shade. Good music in the background not blaring. Would be romantic hang out but not private. Great drinks. Happy Hour 2-4pm. Largest, best Poke Nachos I've ever had. Even the house salad was Big. Very friendly and attentive. So... I'll be back!! A co-worker and I were in Kona for a golf tournament later in the week ... We went four days early to get in much needed practice. We started with a round at Kona CC and then had a late lunch at The View afterward. It's an open-air venue on the 2nd floor of the clubhouse overlooking the putting green and views toward the ocean. We started with a Crown on the rocks ($10) and a Hendricks gin & tonic ($12) for me. We ordered the Ahi Poke Nachos ($20) and the Loaded Fries with a topping of kalua pork ($12). The ahi poke nachos were one of the best we've tried ... spicy aioli atop ahi poke on a bed of crisp nacho chips. The chips were freshly cooked, or at least it seemed that way to me. The loaded fries were less successful ... We like our fries extra crispy and when one gets loaded fries, the topping makes the fries soggy. It's not the fault of the kitchen; it's a characteristic of loaded fries. Perhaps loaded nachos would have been a better choice. In any event, we enjoyed our time at The View though I would have preferred air conditioning as it was a hot and muggy day. Service was attentive and personable. I invited a friend and we both had the steak dinner. I had mine with the salad as my side my friend had his with fries. The steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The salad fresh. The fries were great. This with the view made for an epic time for us both. If there was only one thing that could be improved it would be the listening and memory of your wait staff. Had to ask for water twice and she got the drink order mixed up. Otherwise 5 stars. Oh and the prices were very reasonable compared to other restaurants here in Kona. The happy hour cocktails were good. DO NOT ORDER THE MOZZARELLA STICKS - These were greasy and not good at all. We ordered a grilled fish sandwich as a wrap and the fish was fried. Okay. The view IS great. So if that's all you need, you'll be fine. It's sad to say that nothing else about this place inspires. Not the food - truly mediocre bar food, plus our calamari had some kind of weird plastic type bits in that might've just meant it wasn't cleaned properly or might've been something more sinister.... Our server was also "fine" just to be clear. I think our takeaway is, this is really a place that caters to members. They don't really want you there if you're not one. Nothing overtly hostile, just a feeling of not beinging welcome. We're not going back. read more

The View definitely lives up to the name of the having a great view. The ambiance is relaxed and chill. The service was slow we waited almost an hour for the food to be served. The food was your typical lunch menu with burgers, salads, and sandwiches. Some of the dishes didn't seem like it would take a long time to prepare and make. They didn't check on us. Kind of a hidden gem with great sunset views. Located at the Kona County Club and open to the public. Limited hours, so check times before you go. We went for drinks, appetizers and sunset. Wait staff was great! And parking is free! Which we found out is a big deal on the Kona coast. read more

We went during the week early in the morning so it was not busy. We were greeted and seated quickly. Many options to choose from. I got the veggie omelet and my husband got the Hawaiian sweetbread french toast. The portion sizes were large and reasonably priced. Food tasted amazing and our server was very polite, checking on us and offered us a free sample of an ube shake. The view was amazing. We were able to look out to the ocean the whole time while eating. There was a lot of birds around and even a rooster walked up to us at one point. Growing up in Oahu, I learned to use Coleman's Mustard powder from the Long Liners (fishermen that would sell to the local restaurants). It's a great alternative to Wasabe. Had the worst experience at this restaurant this morning by the waitress a young caucasian girl, they had just opened the restaurant. We had requested a table for a group of six as we were walking to pick a table as she told us to, she mentions that they are not serving breakfast and don't even have cooks available to cook food. My husband is shopping at the golf store since he is a regular golfer and wanted to purchase a couple of items and I mention to him that they are not serving food and the gentleman behind the register tells us that is wrong they are serving food so he walks over to the restaurant to talk to them, shortly after the same young waitress comes into the golf store with an attitude and tells me "What the hell" and then proceeds to tell my daughter and her friend that she never told us they didn't have food. Not a welcoming location and it's unfortunate since my husband had just spent the day before golfing and wanted us to experience the restaurant at the golf course. I want to clarify the gentleman at the register of the golf store was very nice. read more

What a great place. The view is incredible. It is well worth taking the short drive to Keauhou to have breakfast here. The service from Marika was fantastic. The fresh Ono eggs Benedict was the best. I love mimosas and asked if should try the Lilikoi she said, oh yes. Now I am hooked. We live here are will keep coming back for more. I don't know why people don't know about this place.
