When we walked in, we were rudely greeted by the hostess that told us, "I get to you when I can." She should be fired. We were in shock but waited to be seated by the waiter. He kindly seated us at the table and took our order. Thank goodness the chef exceeded our expectations. We, my husband and I, ordered the Vietnamese Tapas for dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The Tapas consists of delicious fresh and perfectly dressed banh bao, goi cuon, cha gio, bo La lot, bun tron, and pho bo. The Pho was the star of the show. The broth was amazing and the Angus Beef melted in your mouth. The recipe was from the last Imperial Chef. Overall the taste was authentic Vietnamese and the chef used all the typical spices and ingredients, such as fish sauce, sesame oil, basil, mint and cilantro. The dishes were superbly presented, fresh and delicious and hardly modified for the European taste.

Even though there are not many dishes on the menu, they are authentic Vietnamese dishes :)!

Scallop floated on a clarified butter and crunchy peanut sauce. Shell is placed on pebbles.

Warm, elegant ambiance. Flavors and textures unlike anything I have experienced. Menu is served as an ongoing meal, either 6 tapas style offerings, or 8 offerings served in succession with paired cocktails and wines. An unforgettable experience for my son, his friend and I. A place to return to for the most special of occasions.

We came here after visiting the palace. We ordered beef pho, chicken pho, spring roll and a salad. The meals we ordered were very good.

You order/pay at the counter and the food is brought out to the table. Note-they don't have a Toilet I tried the Chao Ca Ri with Crispy Duck which was cooked to perfection. The Curry was just right spicy. Everything (Basil, Cilantro, Lemon Grass, Mixed Veggies, etc.) in the bowl worked well together & I would highly recommend this dish. Lovely dish on an overcast and cold Copenhagen day. Paired it with a Tiger Beer. The Beer costs slightly less than a Mineral water. Hmmmm A hidden gem-will definitely be back!

I was skeptical at first because of other "Asian" food I've tried in Denmark left me wanting still. When we arrived, there was a wait outside the door. In fact, every subsequent time I've come here there is a wait outside the door. That is a good sign! Reservations are recommended, but I feel this place needs a better system. You call in and if you're lucky someone will answer and put your name down. However, once you arrive you could still be waiting. They do take walk-in, you just need to be patient. Obviously based on the name, this is Hanoi style pho. It was a bowl of home for me. The soup was tasty and the beef was soft. Portions were good and I was definitely full afterwards. I did cry a little on the inside that I paid over $20 USD for a bowl of pho, but that's what you get when you travel. I also tried their shaking beef which was also yummy.

So I don't really have any standards on how good a Banh Mi is supposed to be. I had marinated pork banh mi and ginger tea for lunch. I ordered the pork one because it said it has honey in it. I love honey hehe. However, I could not taste any bit of honey in it... I feel like they could be more generous on the amount of meat. I'm a carnivorous eater, and I like to taste a chunk of meat in my mouth. I'll say Banh Mi was average, I wouldn't say it was remarkably amazing. For the ginger tea, the taste of ginger is really stong, so I guess they put a good amount of ginger in it. Again, I expected honey as it said it has honey.. I think it is a good drink in winter or when you're having your period, but I believe you can make this at home. It is a good drink that will keep you warm when you're wandering in the street

You can order from one of four sandwich options: the classic pork, a beef, chicken, or tofu sandwich. Then it's made to order while you wait. You can watch the assembly since all the ingredients are lined up behind the counter. The pork sandwich I had was pretty good, but could have been a little more generous with the meat. Bread was crusty on the outside and soft/chewy on the inside, like a baguette is supposed to be. It's a good size for lunch. It's not the best, it won't blow your mind, but it'll satisfy the banh mi craving. There are other banh mi places in Copenhagen, but this one has a convenient location and you can walk to the lake to enjoy your sandwich. I don't think there's seating inside, but there are outdoor benches. They've also got a small display of snacks, and grocery items like vermicelli and vietnamese coffee.
