Stumbled across this place as this was the first restaurant that was open on a Sunday evening, after a good 15 min walk from our hotel. Ambiance was nice and mid-upper scale, which reflected right away in their pricing of the mediocre food items. We ordered vegi pa thai and beef pa thai plus some egg rolls, and it came out just shy of $50 USD. Don't get me wrong, their Pa Thai was no better than those $10 dishes in a regular Thai place found anywhere in the States. Guess just because of the dim lighting and pretty ambiance, customers need to pay the premium. Worst part is, I specifically asked for "regular water" and was brought three glasses of water with a slice of lemon in it, then a bill of 20 DKK.
I ran away immediately after the check to avoid the feeling of being ripped off badly.
Plus a generic rant on Yelp data in Europe: don't rely on the $ sign to tell if a place is affordable or not. Yelp data was very inaccurate in terms of pricing. More often I found myself being stupid to walk further down the ally into a "$" sign restaurant and got same/similar price food compared to "$$" ones that come with a view. read more
