Good cocktails and friendly staff. Do wish that this place gets more busy as when I went they were pretty empty. Overall solid spot

To be honest, all of my reviews are based on whether a restaurant does what it should do given its…read moreprice point. It's decor. And it's place in the market. More importantly, does it offer the kind of service, ambience, and experience that would make you want more? I would say 151 kitchen and bar in Elmhurst does meet those expectations. On a recent work night celebration with colleagues, we ended up here for a nice dinner. Beautifully outfitted, the service was spot on, and the food was for the most part really good. Key points for me for the honey and ricotta with bread - absolutely excellent! I ordered the Atlantic salmon, which came on a bed of tiny potatoes and broccolini absolutely what was expected, the flavors were indicative of light seasoning, and I can truly say I loved it. Needless to say, the food was fantastic. You can see the photo of my entrée below? It looks very inviting right? And indeed it was. One of my colleagues was kind enough to let me take a picture of his chicken bowl - which is below as well - and he pronounced it as pretty good. Coming from him that is high praise, indeed! The tomato bisque soup I had as an app? Pretty delicious - the only concern I would indicate was that it was just a tad too sweet, but otherwise it was served at the perfect temperature, and really hit the spot. Nicely done! So - will I bring hubby here? Yes, I think so. Definitely a worthwhile place for him to try for sure - and I will make plans to bring him here soon.

My challenge is and why I'm giving two stars is that their food is priced on a higher side with mediocre quality. They serve lamb loins, but listed as chops. I ordered lunch all the time and I've never had two mediocre loin. I asked our great waitress of how thick were the chops and where they double boned. She led me to a manager who said you get plenty of food and dodged my question. He simply should've said we don't serve chops. I spent almost $500 for six of us. I think they're a better spot to spend your money for that amount. I did reach out via phone call and email as suggested with no return calls or email. I don't plan to go back for a high priced meal plus a 3% surcharge.

It feels as if you've walked inside of a really trendy coffee bar. Everyone is super warm and inviting. Which makes you instantly smile. This place is happy and energetic. I loved looking around at all of the different decorations, treats, and treasures. There's plenty of seating indoors or limited seating outdoors. Everything is spotless! And, they're fast, efficient, and no matter what you get it is perfect! It's a great place to go and study, hangout, or sit for an incredible cup of coffee! I had the pleasure of being introduced to this place by Yelp and I loved it! My go to drink is the iced decaf latte! This drink is creamy, dreamy, and delicious. With nots of toasted coconut, deep caramel, and cocoa nibs. Pure perfection! They also have a bar later in the day to try all kinds of in house made drinks. So, if you're looking for a trendy new coffee bar. Come here!

Glanced at the pastry box and went with an herbed goat cheese croissant, lemon blueberry scone, and a chocolate donut. Can't forget the cold brew. Plenty of seating both inside and out with a back room too for big events. Sat down and the cold brew was ready. Very smooth and refreshing and gave me the jump I need. The scone was meh but that herbed goat cheese croissant was . Never had a croissant like that before. Donut was a donut. All in all, def make a stop in to check out Brewpoint.

The options are a little limited, but in a good way: everything feels curated rather than overwhelming, with some unique combinations you don't see everywhere. The cocktails were especially fun--interesting, creative, and great-sounding even before the first sip. Huge shoutout to the staff too: super knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to talk through the menu or make recommendations, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. The space itself is small, but it works. It adds to the cozy vibe instead of feeling cramped, and overall the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Definitely a good spot if you're looking for something a little different!

New ownership is keeping the ice cream (cinnamon gelato is fantastic) along with the Pineapple Dole Whip. Theme is North American Fusion so think Canadian, US, Mexican fusion. Menu include regional favorities across North America from Birria Poutine (amazing) to a White Fish Sandwich with Squid Ink and lime crema (come on now! It's fire!). This place is unique distinct and different and I love it. One of the owners has some legitimate cocktail chops (finalist in season one of Mixology on Netflix) and is bringing his background and passion to Villa Park! You can also try his cocktail bar in Itasca called No School Tomorrow which is similarly different, delicious, and unquestionably a great time especially if you lived life in the 90's. How freakin lucky are we to have a gem like this in Villa Park! My only hope is that we don't blow it. Like any new restaurant they are refining menu items and working out kinks. Food and drinks are on the pricier side (they have a solid kids hot dog and fries option for $5 for kids though) but what is the going rate for Squid Ink?! It is also unlike anything else you will find in Villa Park or Western Suburbs, or really anywhere so I would say absolutely worth it. Staff is also ridiculously friendly and excited about their product. While they have awesome specialty cocktails that you will not find anywhere else (pozole spices in a cocktail?!) they are also great making any classic cocktail you can come up with. My one feedback for now would be to up the dish-ware if going with higher price items vs going with paper products. This might just be they are testing things out. I'm also excited to see some brunch options or perhaps coffee and pastries in the future to get the biker/ boozy brunchy weekenders with kids crowd.
