I went with 5 friends. Everyone was pleased with the food and the service. I had the short ribs which were great. There was a bit of everything in our party and all were pleased. I'll go again. Lovely and attentive server and others jumped in just to check in. I recommend read more

Definitely not a venue that I expected at all. Food was okay and pricy. Slow service as well. Hopefully it was just a bad night

the poor bar tender was by herself the entire bar was full and tables . several people left because there was no service . to many places to go we like it here but the service was awful they need someone else at like 4:30 especially since there happy hour starts at 4 read more

This place is only 3 months old but has a rich history as pompanos first bank that was held up in 1924. Although the service was a bit slow, the food was really good; we got two apps, 4 meals, 2 non-alcoholic drinks, and a dessert for $100. They have an outside seating area (behind the main dining room) and we will definitely be coming back at night time. read more

What an amazing experience. The entire group was spot on, friendly and great recommendations. We stuck with appetizers and tried a few. Meatballs, rangoons, bruschetta, wings, and omg the Mac n cheese. All spectacular. Phillip was on top of his game, with spot on recommendations and a service with a small. Will be a regular here for sure. Loved it. read more

This place is on the corner downtown pompano - a very fun place - it has small plates and big plates of delicious well prepared food- loved the smashed broccoli- pompano bundles of green beans and bacon/the potatoes with melted cheese and a great little Caesar salad- The cocktails are great and don't miss the homemade chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream- not too sweet just rich and yummy- This will be a regular spot for us!! The silent films are a blast to watch while you are taking it all in- nice job!! Very cool friendly place read more

Phillip was awesome!! Food 10/10 atmosphere 10/10 cozy & good vibes . Everyone there is also welcoming!

It's just a bar with somewhat elevated food but trying to be more and town chamber of commerce describes as more. Stick with the burgers.

Ever read favorable reviews and then go to the restaurant and think WTF? I thought that when I went to The Vault as some reviewers exalted the dining room and from this I thought the restaurant would be a nice bank themed special restaurant. Well it wasn't and some reviewers didn't just embellish but their reviews were dishonest. There is not much atmosphere going on here and I thought I would see remnants of an old bank or classic architecture but instead the tables are situated next to the server's station and this is more a nondescript sports bar then an interesting or nice looking restaurant. Even worse than the dreary dining room design was the closeness of the tables and the crammed in feeling with little space separating the tables. The dated menu and food are also similar to that of a sports bar with many fried items and simple basics and that could be okay if executed nicely but most items were mediocre. In the absence of choice I went with fried pickles for one appetizer and it was the best appetizer we had. A short rib item was better than the appetizers and that's why I am giving three stars rather than the two though it really warrants a 2 1/2. Service was good and prices are reasonable. read more

Excellent food and service! Menu has several unique dishes and all are delicious! Large free parking lot is right next to the restaurant.

We dined at The Vault on a Saturday evening as out-of-towners visiting from Central Florida. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with a cool, modern ambiance. Our server was prompt, attentive, and offered thoughtful suggestions. He checked in at all the right times without ever feeling intrusive. The real star of the evening was the food. We started with the crab chowder--and having tried chowders up and down the coast, this one easily ranks in the top one percent. It was creamy, perfectly balanced, generously filled with crab, and the bacon added a smoky, salty depth. Truly a 10/10. We also ordered their take on ceviche, which was bright and vibrant; it could have used just a touch more citrus, but it was still very enjoyable. For entrées, we tried the short ribs and the chicken bowl. Both were delicious--flavorful, well-balanced, and so satisfying that we left zero leftovers. We had the chance to meet the executive chef as well, who was warm, passionate, and clearly dedicated to his craft and this restaurant. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommend checking it out! read more

I had heard about Pompano Beach getting a restaurant in what used to be the first Bank of Pompano and I was psyched to go. Let me start off by saying, you don't eat your meal in a bank vault. The vault is a smallish restaurant with a large bar. There are tables in the front, seating for two along the side and more tables in the rear. The wait staff is dressed appropriately in 1920's outfits and there are some murals on the wall depicting the 20's but that's where the nostalgia ends. The menu is diverse with small plates, salads and then large plates. My friend had the short ribs, his wife had the shrimp bowl and my wife and I each had the chicken bowl which was chicken cubes, walnuts, veggies in a delicious soy based sauce with coconut rice. It was delicious. The waiter explained the history of the bank and how it was once robbed of $5000 which today would be about a quarter of a million dollars. As we finished our entree a dessert had caught my eye so we shared pineapple upside down cake, a la mode. The cake was warm and moist and melted nicely with the vanilla ice cream. Downtown Pompano if there is no Untapped happening is dark and deserted. It would behoove the city to plan more events to attract the tourists and locals to the area. If you do come Downtown, do give the Vault your interest. read more

I ordered the Lynn's Blackened Chicken Pasta. It said rich and creamy sauce. It was dry. I asked for more sauce. The sauce was so salty that I could t eat it. I was so looking forward to some pasta tonight. It was a fail for me. read more

We were in Pompano Beach area for two nights and found The Vault on Yelp. What a find! It's a wonderful local's place and we had a warm welcome. Turns out we walked in on their Tuesday Smash burger Special' Night. The best recommendation I can give is that we enjoyed it so much our group of four went back the next night when smash burgers weren't on special and the four of us ordered it again. read more

So pleasantly surprised by our dinner at The Vault. Such a unique place with excellent food and service. This will sound odd, but the broccoli side was the best broccoli I have ever had. Broccoli is somewhat boring but not this time! The mahi sandwich was terrific also. I am not from Pompano, but would definitely dine eat the Vauylt frequently if I was. read more

Visited this little gem, with my daughter. We started with short rib egg roll it was incredible, followed by their famous smash burger. I'm not a burger person and this was one of the Best Burgers I have ever had. We shared the hot bread pudding which was so good, I took one to go! read more

Such a great place! Friendly people, great service, fabulous drinks, and a unique atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Came here for their soft opening, food was okay I know they are still figuring it out. My only reason for one less star is because of the lights and decor, it wants to be a speakeasy but it's WAY too bright for that theme. If it's meant to be a speakeasy vibe change the lightbulbs to amber and paint all the walls dark (peppercorn sherwin Williams) to give it that cool bar vibe and specially outside the bright white lights are way too bright not even South had such bright lights. I hope they make it, I would love another cool bar option by my house. read more

Came in here for the speakeasy vibe and the fact they had brunch. At first service was a little standoffish but it improved. Drinks are good, food is even better. Had the deviled eggs and the crab Rangoon for appetizers both were solid. Had the eggs Benedict with the shrimp cake which was amazing. Would definitely come back. read more

My review is delayed a month or so, but dining and reviewing The Vault has been on my mind lately. Maybe my brain has been wired to that unforgettably wonderful dining experience! The Vault is a treasure in the up and coming welcomed gentrification of the Pompano Beach "downtown" area. The casual but competent dining service cannot be overlooked. You'll be made to feel like a welcome guest in a long lost friend's home. The food doesn't fit any singular culinary niche. Let's say it's the very best in creative home cooking with an extraordinary flair for creativity. Nothing on the menu is simple or ordinary......and isn't that a great reason to give The Vault a visit? Every aspect of this dining experience exceeds expectations. read more

We have been here a few times for lunch and everything was good. However we went for dinner on a Friday and was very disappointed! We started with drinks, my margarita had no taste and after asking for some more lime juice or mixer, it still tasted bad. The Negroni wasn't very good either. We ordered the crab Rangoon appetizer. They were good but the 4 portions were very small for the price. The Cesar side salad was big but it had lots of shaved Parmesan which didn't taste fresh and neither did the croutons. The chicken fingers had a different kind of breading which was dry & had little flavor. The chicken stir fry was good but not a very big portion. The restaurant was fairly crowded and the service was fair at best. read more

My husband and I have been here twice, both times the food and service have been fantastic, yesterday we also got to meet the Chef, Percy. Highly recommend. read more

I tried a smash burger today and it was honestly one of the best burgers I've had in a while. The patty was smashed thin on the grill which gave it that perfect crispy crust on the outside while staying juicy on the inside. The cheese melted right into the meat and the toasted bun held everything together without getting soggy. Every bite had a great balance of flavor from the beef, melted cheese, and toppings. Simple, but done perfectly. If you like burgers with crispy edges and tons of flavor, the smash burger is definitely the way to go. read more
