I had been once before, but my in-laws were visiting from England and we just had to take them here. They agreed that it was the classic, small town, American market. We all loved our visit. It's quite big inside and very open/spacious to move around. Beyond their famous cherry pies, jams, and butters, you'll find their fresh produce, local cheeses (yumm), and a unique selection of artisan goods (I'm obsessed). Also if you're an apple lover, you'll have come to the right place. They were sampling their fresh picked options, and we of course left with a big bag to take home. Also, all things fall-esque like cider donuts, pumpkin pancake mix, and unique fudge. Oh anddd they have this great little outdoor section for kiddos, equip with a swing set, big sandbox, handful of rideable bikes/cars, and a cute little rope maze in the woods. My son loved exploring. With seasonal activities like cherry-picking, it's a perfect spot to savor the region's flavors and enjoy a classic Midwest farm experience!

And beyond that, they sell a lot of other merchandise, food and otherwise. Lots of salsa, spreads, relishes, jerky, and so on, but they don't have any recipes or food suggestions near them and I don't know how to use them. The peach, cherry, etc. salsas seemed interesting but they were too sweet (and not spicy enough) to eat with chips or something, but I'm not sure how I would want to use it otherwise and I don't want to have to do the work to figure out how. But near the entrance, they do have a little counter where various relishes and jams are available for tasting. I did buy some apple cider donuts from here, and they certainly looked more appetizing than most of the other markets we stopped at. The cider was disappointing--it looked more like juice than cider--so I skipped that. And once I had one of the donuts upon returning home, they were pretty good even a day or two later, and I"m not one who usually loves apple cider donuts. There's lots of parking here, so you'll probably have no issue there. If you have little ones, there's a small playground near the eastern end of the property. They're closed Sunday, so plan accordingly.

Stopping at Jorns was one of my favorite things about my visit to Door County. I have never seen a…read moregallon of maple syrup before today but let me tell ya, if I used it often enough and had the patience to decant in into smaller bottles to her at home I may have bought one. Drive slowly as you're heading to Jorns, because this is truly one of those "blink and you'll miss it" type experiences. And even when you've found the place and then start to enter the drive, you'll think you've made huge a mistake and are being lured into something nefarious since it's surrounded by trees. But then you see the little shack in the back, with the weathered sign welcoming you to Jorns Sugar Bush. There's no parking lot; there are a couple parking-space-like empty spots in the midst of this copse of trees. It was such a true pleasure to meet Roland Jorn. I was not expecting to have a chat with the 96-year-old proprietor of the maple shack on my way out of Door County, but it was fun to learn about him, and his family--and even the murder mystery that exists in their distant past. I had my sleepy toddler with me and he was delighted to meet her too. I haven't tried the maple syrup yet. But I've heard plenty that this is the place to get it so I can't wait to give it a try. Jorn's helpers were in the background filling bottles of syrup, and they're able to sell via the internet if you go to their site. The place is cash only, so make sure to stop at the ATM on your way in.

I bought some as well for my family. They accept cash only. The good thing here is that they collaborate with other small businesses and they sell them on their store as well. I got the maple caramel and oh it was so good that I wished I bought more. It's not like a typical caramel that sticks to your teeth. This type melts in your mouth kind of goodness and oh so yummy.. those caramels were created by her sister in law I thought. And I thought those should be promoted as one of their flagship products too.

Hi, my name is Melanie Moore and I'm from Michigan. We…read morespent the last week in Door County at "The Rushes" across the street from your farm in Bailey's harbor. We learned that we missed Monday visiting the farm and would have to wait until Thursday as you are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday and we check out on Friday. Thursday morning we went to your store and bought 2 Ribeye steaks to cook on the grill for dinner while we packed and got ready to depart on Friday. We were really excited to try them after seeing your business advertised all over the county. Unfortunately our excitement turned to disappointment. Our steaks were not of the quality we were expecting. They were tough and somewhat dry. The sweet potato was very good but that was not enough to justify the $55 we spent on 2 steaks and a sweet potato. My husband also ran back in and grabbed a $12.95 rub for the steaks. I wanted to contact you instead of leaving a bad review on social media. Look forward to hearing back from you. My telephone # is (810)875-1430. Thank you in advance.

I don't think I ever had curd cheese but hey, when in Rome! What helped find this place was the big cow and the sign that says 'CHEESE'. Can't miss it! The store is huge and the staff were super friendly. It made the experience even better! Inside the store, it is very well organized. I was surprised by the size of Bigfoot at the front entrance. Anywho, I didn't know cheese could be aged from 1 to 20 years old! Blew my mind away. I got so carried away that I walked out with over $100 worth of cheese. Either way, the experience was great! If you have a chance to visit Wisconsin for a day or two, take some cheese to go!

Great selections and great customer service. Love them both though as he mentioned the 20 years is a strong taste good in small doses. A family business and obvious why they've stayed n business so long.
