I was greeted immediately with smiles from the kind front desk staff and felt comfortable in the relaxing environment of the waiting room. Dr. Ngo is a very kind and knowledgeable person; you can tell he has a passion for what he does! He takes the time to get to know you and your goals for your teeth and walks you through the entire process. Overall I would 100% recommend S&L to anyone seeking amazing dental care! I went with a different place at first because it was closer to where we were living. Well, that turned out to be a mistake. I ended up having a bad experience there and finally switched to S&L. Dr. Ngo and his team fixed everything the other dentist had messed up. Right away I knew my wife had been right all along. I've been going to S&L for four years now and they really are the best dental office I've ever been to. Dr. Ngo has removed all my old metal fillings and replaced them with modern ones, plus he's done a couple of crowns for me. Everything looks and feels great. My wife has also been extremely happy with all the work he's done for her too. I'm almost 55 and I've seen a bunch of top-rated, highly recommended dentists over the years, both here in the US and a couple in Mexico. Nothing else comes close. One thing I have to mention is how good Dr. Ngo is with people who hate dental visits or get nervous about pain. His work is excellent, but it's the way he takes care of you that makes the biggest difference. For example, the way he does Novocaine shots is unbelievable. You barely feel it at all. Every dentist out there should learn his technique. With all that said, I do think the front office experience could be better. If the customer service up front matched Dr. David's clearly caring vibe, it would be 100% perfect. If you're looking for a truly professional dentist who gives five-star care and service, this is the place. Dr. David Ngo at S&L is the only one I would recommend without any hesitation.

The transition from the last practice was easy because of the personable positive help and flexibility from the staff. When I first met Dr Fialkoff for my exam I felt as if I was a patient for years. It is hard to explain but the doctor projects a professional warm caring common-sense concern for the patient that I found in the first dentist we had for 30 years who has since retired. Dr. Fialkoff fit me in and filled the cavity during that first visit, and I believe we are going to be very pleased with our decision to have joined this practice.

Ever. That is all done through the lovely receptionist/scheduler. For my last xray taken in January 2025, I called and asked to speak with the dentist regarding the results and I was told that he could not take the call or answer any questions because he was "very sick" but the receptionist would be able to send me an email quoting what the dentist had told her. The office also returned my charge of $265 when I informed the office that I never received an explanation from the dentist. I brought this to the attention of Paradise Valley Dental. I was also told that a $10,000 correction (tooth extraction and implant) was necessary. After making an appointment for that procedure, I canceled realizing that this also was not needed. The dentist also made a "suggestion" that he could remove 2 more teeth since I made the comment that i "didn't like the color" of the two teeth. I declined the $10,000 procedure as well as the extraction/implant of the two teeth that I didn't like. In one letter, the receptionist referred to my first appointment with this office as being in 2018. That is incorrect. 2018 is the year I moved to Scottsdale. I did not originally seek treatment from them in 2018. When going through old Paradise Valley Dental bills. I found one that I was charged (and paid) for a $1200.00 surgery in Dec 2022. I called and emailed to ask why that surgery was done and what did "osseous surgery" mean. I had (and paid for) the surgery because I didn't ask upfront why it was needed. The only comment on the bill was "osseous surgery". It was extremely painful and expensive. When I asked about that bill and why I needed it, I could never get an answer. I went to a different dentist who told me that the tooth that Fialkoff wanted to extract , was just fine.

Needs a drastic update. The dr barely reviewed my X-rays and teeth. I went back to my former dentist before the HMO plan and I had a HUGE cavity that the dr at Grieb's office missed for two visits (12 months). Had he caught it earlier it may not have cost as much to repair. This office does not have up to date equipment. The dentist had snot running out of his most the last time I was there.

My old practice was a single dentist, a few dental assistants and a receptionist. You spend your entire visit with the dentist and he provides you an honest summary of your visit. The total visit is under a half hour. Biltmore Commons has 6 Dentists and at least that many dental hygienist and more dental assistants and receptionists. You spend the majority of your visit with your hygienist and about 2 minutes with the dentist. Because there is so much overhead you get a Spirit Airlines experience where you are constantly getting upsold nonsense. The hygienists are more like used car salesmen than people who clean your teeth. I have been to this place twice and they have tried selling me laser treatment ($100) night guards ($800), Invisilign, a Waterpick ($120), an additional cleaning, and they were going to try to sell me an electric toothbrush if I didn't already have one. The hygienists don't give up the entire visit until you say yes to something. The dentist never says you need any of these things. I never went through with any of these scams. And I will not be going to Biltmore Commons ever again. My first visit was 2 hours (with x-rays) and my second was almost an hour (without x-rays). I have a life and my time is not valued. My recommendation is to find a dentist with less overhead where they can pay for their practice with just regular dental work and not ancillary products.
