I can't say enough about my new Dentist. I started coming to Arizona Dental after a friend had recommended them to me a couple of years ago. Since then Dr Gerard has transformed my mouth. Recently I had a 15 year old post that had gone bad. They could have looked at it and said it would be best to redo the implant. But not Dr. Gerard. Great experience as a patient for 2 (maybe 3) years ! I had several minor and a couple of extensive procedures done there - including implants -- that took many visits. Every time, the staff was very knowledgable, helpful, fast ... accommodating with appointments and with discussing insurance and co-pay etc. Even when things sometimes didn't go according to plan (as happens with non-routine dental work) ... Dr. Gerard took a lot of time to explain the details, options, etc. I think the two best qualities of Dr. Gerard (aside from being very nice and personable) is that he is HONEST and communicates. Any time that I had discomfort or thought I needed him to look at something - they were always able to make a quick appointment, and very rarely was I charged extra for anything. I can't say enough about Arizona Dental and Dr. Gerard (except that it appears he might have too much business and not enough help!) ... but other than that, he's been the best dentist I've have in decades. read more

I was encouraged by the positive reviews on this dentist, and I am sure that this is a great dental practice. However, it is quite off-putting that when I take the time to research a dentist by going to the practice web site, the information is misleading or incorrect. The website hours clearly state appointment availability from 7:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. weekdays and weekend appointments available. However, when I called the office to schedule a later in the day or weekend appointment that would work with my work schedule, I was told that those hours only exist for special cases, and that they have not scheduled an after 5:00 P.M. appointment in months. I am tired of wasting my time and research time find a reputable practitioner, only to learn that their website contains false information. It's really unfortunate that this business does not stand behind what they advertise. read more

Wow! An actual honest dental service that isn't going to gouge you for extra $$$! I went to Aspen Dental and was given 3 tiers of dental prices for new dentures. I was getting red flags all over the place in my spirit! Nope, I am going to go get another opinion. Arizona Dental is just down the street from our apartment so, I went there! Am I ever glad that I did! Honestly, I did not have one single flutter of a red flag anywhere during this visit. I learned that there is one type of dentures across the board, however, there are dental places that will charge you for more if they can get away with it! I am so thankful for Arizona Dental! My dentures are going to be one half of the price that Aspen was wanting me to go with. This includes both upper and lower plates! I had an Extreme dental phobia for Decades. Which no doubt lead to me needing dentures at age 61. Dr. Gerard was referred to me by my father-in-law as someone who had done his dentures. I was still apprehensive, but when I admitted my fear to the receptionist on the phone, she was so warm and caring and not at all judgemental. Dr. Gerard was wonderful! As my father-in-law said, he was patient and knowledgeable, with a warm and welcoming personality. No one lectured me or made me feel bad about the horrible state of my teeth. I'm sure they've seen it all, but I really felt like they cared about my comfort and peace of mind. My dentures were expertly crafted by Dr. Gerard and I received many compliments on how nice they looked. After years of hiding my teeth, I now had a reason to smile! In hindsight, I would recommend that when you go to Any dentist, ask a Lot of questions. I had No idea how long "immediate" dentures took, or what kind of adjustments I would need to make to my whole approach to eating! So research and ask questions. And of course, it's critical to choose the right dentist - which is why I gladly drove 20 miles (one way) to go to Dr. Gerard! He is worth the trip! Also, wasn't sure about the amount today, with my insurance, so they will just bill me instead of overcharging my care credit. Clean, quiet office and such a kind staff. This has been the most horrific experience of my life! I am a 45yr old women but still striving to succeed higher expectations for myself. I had severe sinus issues and the remedy, i was told to remove my teeth. My "I" teeth had pierced my sinus cavities. I was assured by office staff and Dr. Gerard, that i would leave so incredibly happy. We agreed on price and set an extraction date. After he yanked every tooth from my mouth, gushing blood and feeling like i might faint, walked out to front office to make my next appointment and Jennifer, who i don't believe works there any longer, says it's gonna cost more than we had discussed? Uh, hello? Can you put my teeth back so we can discuss this? NO, you can't! My dentures are horrible and my gums make me look anemic. I look sickly. I can't even wear my bottoms, so i got 50% of what i paid for. I think he gave me my 80yr old father in law's same denture as Dr Gerard did his as well? He is a car salesman and he doesn't care! I have to pay more now to correct his ignorance and failure! Stay away! I wish i never met them! Horrific! read more

Dr. Gerard & his staff are ROCK STARS! I recently had to have my remaining 12 teeth pulled, replaced with dentures & 2 implants. I have several Auto-immune diseases and am on many medications. Dr. G made sure to contact my specialists to confirm that anything he did wouldn't interfere with my ongoing health issues. I moved here from Michigan, where I had a stellar medical team for 22+ years and have found the majority of specialists here to be very disappointing. Dr. G is certainly NOT in that category! He is patient, kind and has a great sense of humor, which never hurts. My dentures were made beautifully, on site, & adjustments are a quick easy appointment. They've seen me on short notice, and always answer the phone when I've had questions. The wait time for appointments has never been more than a few minutes. His staff are so helpful and always cheerful. They also offer coupons for services. My smile now is STUNNING! I can't say enough great things about Dr. Gerard and his staff! Extremely rude staff. I have been dr. Gerard's patient for over 17 years and after he changed his staff it is not the same. New girls very unprofessional, rude, impersonal. When I called to make appointment for toothache, they told me that there is nothing availble, you can come next week. When i made appointment using their on-line system, they called me on monday day before appointment saying that there is no available appointment even I made one and if I want I can come on Thursday.
