I probably have one of the VERY worst dental phobias you can imagine from bad childhood early adult dentist experiences. Im talking trembling , shaking uncontrollably , sweating to the point my glasses would fog up , nausea , heart pounding fear . And that lead to a lot of years of neglect on my part. Ive had a dentist use the max amount of shots to numb me and look me in my face like i was crazy and tell me "sorry I cant give you any more" when I tried to tell them I could still feel it , not a little bit, like fully feel it . Dr. Rabot was the FIRST of many to actually take the time and hear me. Right off the bat he explained that he would try a different technique that required an injection into the back of my jaw and that it would not be the most pleasant but it should do the trick. When I tell you this man did extractions and implants with less pain that ive had for a cavity/root canal/ simple extraction. The whole time talking me thru what he was doing , making sure I was ok and comfortable the entire time. His chairside manor is incredible and he just has a very calming and assuring way about him . 2nd Dr. Rabot has given me several implants and a few weeks into the 3rd one it had failed (it happens) . And it was CHRISTMAS morning , I texted Dr. Rabot early in the morning and sent him a video of me wiggiling my implant with my tounge. His response ? "I can be at the office in 30 minutes , or would you be more comfortable in the hospital setting because we can go there too". ON CHRISTMAS MORNING !! I am not a fan of hospitals so I went with the office. 30 min and he had me in the chair , numbed up , implant out and bone grafting done , 3-4 months later new implant and back in buisness (2nd attempt did not fail ) 3rd EVERY SINGLE TIME he has done any surgery on my HE calls me to check up on me. Not an assistant. 4th he has never made me feel stupid for my insane phobia , only been supportive and understanding. 5th VERY VERY clean office VERY kind staff . I DO not give out 5 star reviews easy . But this one is so deserved . He is a master at his craft and knows and cares very much about the work he does and that shows To the person who complained about having to wait while he ordered his food on vacation in another country .... poor you !!! You had to wait a couple minutes ....... it would have been so much better if you were sent to an after hours answering service or a voicemail right ? Cause thats what most Docs will do. Im not sure what other option he could have provided to you for immidiate help other than hospital . He was out of the country, the fact he answered the call at all shows you exactly the kind of Dr he is . The kind that always puts his patients first.

I had an abscess tooth which was not a candidate for a root canal so it had to come out. Never having had a tooth out I was extremely stressed (an understatement) but I had the IV sedation which made this whole thing do-able for me. I also got a bone graft, and Dr. Gassman's work was exceptional. I had no pain even after the numbing wore off that evening and no swelling. Dr. Gassman has my full endorsement, and also my appreciation for doing such a fantastic job on something so important. I am editing this just to add that the people complaining about fees, I was charged exactly what I was quoted at the initial consultation. I imagine Dr. Gassman is not the cheapest option, but seriously, I do not want bargain dental surgery! You get what you pay for!

When I spoke with Sharalee, the office manager, over the phone, I felt the conversation was dismissive and condescending rather than focused on helping resolve the issue. I left the conversation feeling blamed instead of heard. I was frustrated by how my concerns were handled, instead of feeling like my questions were being heard, I felt blamed for not knowing exactly how my insurance maximum would be affected, despite relying on the estimate provided by the office... The technology they have for checking and cleaning your teeth is as modern and high tech as it gets. Lastly, Dr Lachot is great. This is not the dentist for you if you are a basic patient that doesn't have serious dental issues or need cosmetic surgery or appliances. They don't take care of you or treat you if you aren't making money . The only bright spot is the front desk and the hygienists who are excellent despite the dentists being inattentive and uncaring. I switched to this dentist (Dr Bri) several years ago after moving here and having a multi year relationship with my prior dentist. While Dr Bri was fine at the beginning, everything became progressively worse over time. This office is a money making machine that only cares about selling you cosmetic dentistry and services you don't need. They did this to me and my kids, each of us getting separately estimates for 20k of cosmetic work every time you go in for a tooth cleaning. Another friend left the practice after having the same experience. I stayed on bc I felt it was fine to say no to cosmetic work but ultimately was relegated to worse and worse service. Several times, and maybe all of the last four visits, I had to ASK to see the actual dentist. They tried to send me on my way after the hygienist cleaning. I was asked if I had a particular issue and said- no I just think the dentist should look at your teeth during a dental exam. Terrible customer service. Worse, last time I was there, they had someone who I don't think had ever seen a tooth doing flossing and other basic work (it wasn't the hygienist). She kept skipping teeth and had no clue what she was doing. It was almost like a joke. Then when I asked to see the dentist, I found out she wasn't even there that day. Why even schedule me for an appointment? It was ridiculous and the final straw. Side note: They also refused to send X-rays to my oral surgeon bc I wouldn't sign up with their surgeon who wasn't covered by my insurance. My surgeon had to take new X-rays. What a racket. Again The only reason for not giving one star are the front desk and hygienists who are excellent. I consider the dentist a long term and personal relationship. I went to this office for years and had absolutely no relationship with Dr Bri. The customer service is poor unless you need major work done. Dr Willman is no longer with the practice. Huge, enormous, gigantic loss for Pima Dental. About four months ago, I returned because I needed to molars extracted. Let me note that after the extractions I had fully intended beginning work on all my lower teeth, fully expecting to make another substantial investment. This practice is not inexpensive... in my view it is extremely overpriced (especially after I share what happened below). I was prepared to pay another substantial amount to complete my treatment. I did miss one appointment due to a personal emergency. I attempted to call but was unable to get through, and at the time my focus understandably had to be on the emergency. At my next scheduled appointment, I drove over 45 minutes from north Phoenix. I arrived and had X-rays done, and then met with a dentist who informed me that two teeth would need to be extracted by an oral surgeon and that the procedure could not be done there. While the dentist was courteous, the appointment ultimately resulted in a two-hour round trip simply to be referred elsewhere. I wish this had been communicated to me beforehand. As I was leaving, I was stunned when I was told not to leave and was informed that I owed a $50 missed-appointment fee. Mandy, the office manager, whom I had worked with before made it be known that I needed to pay $50. What disappointed me most was not the amount itself, but the complete lack of empathy or discretion--especially toward a long-standing patient who had already invested heavily in the practice and was prepared to invest significantly more. I understand that offices have cancellation policies. However, patient relationships should involve more than strict enforcement of fees. In my experience, this practice places profits above patient goodwill and patient satisfaction. Between the high costs of treatment and the rigid handling of this situation, it left me feeling that policies mattered more than people. As a business owner myself, I believe long-term trust, empathy, and relationships are what sustain a practice--not nickel-and-diming loyal patients. Unfortunately, this experience has led me to seek care elsewhere for the remainder of my treatment, and I will not be recommending this office moving forward ever again! I have an INTENSE fear of the dentist, let alone a periodontist. Just the thought of going was enough to make me shake and feel sick. But once there, and in the chair, everyone was great. I asked them to explain everything in great detail, and they did. That was really nice. From there, things were surprisingly smooth. When I had questions after...even weeks or months later, they were highly responsive and patient. Unfortunately, I am not able to continue with the implant process with them. They only use titanium implants and I have a sensitivity to titanium (I strongly encourage biocompatibility testing prior to any device doing into your body). So, this is where I leave them. Crazy enough, they made my experience not so bad!

After getting opinions from other surgeons it's clear it was from poor surgical planning and non-optimal surgical techniques.
