Needed a package to be securely delivered and chose this location. Plenty of parking but inside is a tad small when it is busy. There was a long line but the employees were fast and efficient at cutting it down. Our package arrived safely and the employee was very friendly! The process of retrieving it went smoothly and quickly. The employee even offered a dolly if we needed it. Would recommend having your extra secure packages being sent here! read more

However, when there is a line out the door and only 2 associates working the counter, it is NOT the time to start talking to one of the customers at the counter, at length, about the process, pictures used, who took the pictures, asking about the picture they brought in to mail, etc. Then to get the 2nd associate involved and talking to the 2nd customer at the counter about the exact same things?? Have you lost it? It's 11 days before Christmas, one of the last mailing days before the holiday, and we ALL have places to be. And yes, I was the one who said something about us all having places to be. Stop and think about your customers before trying to make a $50 cross-sale. I won't be back so I hope the potential of *maybe* one sale of that canvas print was worth the business I bring in weekly. read more

My experience at this location was overall good. I needed to ship a few goodies to my brother in NC. The service was friendly (though the agent had to do 3 iterations of my address change to get it right) and the items arrived in the time stated. There is plenty of parking and prices are about on par with what you would expect. read more

I've asked him now 3-4 different times to not do that especially when I write "fragile" all over the box. I might need a new UPS store. It's a white male with glasses and deep voice. I would suggest going to another UPS store. This one has a worker who is power hungry doesn't know his job and yells at customers who are 6 feet apart if their are more then five people. Dealing with mail and delivery is always a hassle, but everyone I communicated with during a delivery mix-up was very patient and nice. They made sure I got my package and had a driver go out of his way to come back to my building and deliver. The driver, the store associate, and the rep who called me were all A+, I just wish I could contact the company and praise the people who worked with me, they were so professional and kind. read more

Scammers! I was making a shipment of 8 pieces of china that I had sold online. I normally ship things like this myself and use USPS as a carrier, but given the fragility and the count of the items, I opted to spend a bit more and use a service that guarantees such a shipment. I went to UPS and paid over $150 for a domestic shipment for their special service whereby they pack breakables such as mine and guarantee safe delivery because you're paying them to do the packing. $150 is a heck of a lot, but this was mostly for the packing service and a slight upcharge for a higher insurance level, but I thought it worth it for peace of mind. When my buyer received the package, she sent pictures of two of the items smashed to bits. At this point I was relieved, because I had the foresight to use an insured service. I submitted the claim online through UPS and started waiting. ...and waiting... ...and waiting.... ...until two weeks later Ron calls me, an employee at the Carpenter Rd office. Things go sideways in a hurry, as Ron explains its not up to him; rather, he has to run it by "corporate." I'm feeling uneasy, as Ron is asking for things that ought not matter...I mean, I paid for a service that is intended to be professional packing service with a guarantee...and I shipped breakables and two broke with photographic evidence...slam dunk, right? Ron wanted to know contact information of the buyer and other things that somehow my reimbursement were dependent upon...thankfully my buyer was a nice old lady that played along and confirmed verbally that the items were received out of package broken. At this point I was thinking the process was a slow one with clunky filing requirements, but that I'd surely be reimbursed. A few days after that, Ron informed me that corporate would not be honoring the guarantee because...wait for it...when the store packed it, they provided a large single box, into which they directly placed the 8 smaller boxes that I had provided to transport the items into their store (their choice to do that, not mine), and because the items broke within the smaller boxes, it's my fault. So....um...I guess I paid $150 to guarantee safe passage of 8 boxes and not their contents? Because they chose to be too lazy to properly pack things, they get a free pass on covering the breakage? Good ol' Ron was beyond worthless, by the way, by blaming corporate and not in any way trying to step up and show a modicum of professionalism or ownership of the situation. Corporate didn't pack the items and choose to take shortcuts; Ron's store did! It would have still been very unsatisfactory, but better if either Ron or the shadowy corporate decision makers had offered to refund my payment for the packing service and instead charge me for postage only, but they didn't! I guess they feel that $150 is well earned by them. Oh well, live and learn. Heed my tale, and go to someone professional, not these crooks. They make even USPS look good! Next stop...Better Business Bureau and small claims. read more

Took a package in to be repackage to be sent back to Dyson got tracking number was never able to track . 2 days later the package shows up at my house in the same box I dropped it off in . So they never repackage this package thankfully it had my address on it because when I called to ask them where my package was they had no idea. I was told they had to investigate and would call me In 2 days . This was a 800 dollar package I would not recommend using this store . read more

I called the store and the owner was helpful. I took my 2 returns (1-Amazon a watch, and 2-HSN a laptop), to the store for secure packing and shipping. When I arrived, the owner was then NOT very helpful! He rushed me thru my 2 questions. He was short, rude and condescending. I chalked it up to a bad day on his part. The next day, the laptop was delivered to my house! That had been one of my questions: of the 2 slips HSN had sent me, how did he know which one to use. He had grumbled it didn't matter, but I guess it did! I called and told him what happened. I had to make an extra trip in to his business. He was rude again and never apologized. I will never use his service again. And I would advise others to go elsewhere as well! read more

There's a reason that I didn't want USPS handling my envelope, but that story is for a different Yelp review. Unfortunately, by the time I realized what had happened, it was too late to make a change. - For customers: Be explicit with what you ask for. - For training for the UPS Store staff: be very clear about what service will be doing the shipping. First, the owner's hours are very unpredictable. There have been numerous times when I've either stopped by or called during business hours, only to learn that that the store was closed for some unknown reason. Second, the prices are completely unreasonable! He charges you $2-3 to tape up a box, whereas all of the other UPS Stores in the area do this for free. I recently had to buy a 16" cubed box, and he charged me $15 for the box and "packing fee" - not including return postage (since I already had a prepaid postage label; moreover, he claimed to have given me a discount, stating that he normally charges $20). This would be somewhat justifiable if I was trying to ship something extremely fragile requiring careful packing, but I was returning a large plastic item that he simply had to place inside the box with no packing peanuts, bubble tape, or other type of padding. I was in a rush so, against my better judgment, I paid his exorbitant fee, but I called another UPS Store in Ann Arbor on my drive home, and was told that they would have charged $7.95 for the same service. I've been to this UPS location a million times to return my rental books to Amazon or Chegg, and each time they are great. I'm excited that they are under new management and have great ideas on how to expand their business as well as make lives easier for college students who need to return their books but don't have transportation.
