I needed to send a large package to Dallas and Faith took care of me. I didn't realize the store would box up your package for shipping, so that was a nice surprise. The price seemed high but it was pretty large and weighed about 25 pounds so I guess that's gonna cost more. I was overall very happy with my experience and would use them again. read more

The people behind the counter are knowledgeable and respectful. They have lots more services there than just mailing packages. I took two boxes of old records there to be shredded and their cost was much more reasonable than some companies that specialize in that. read more

I've been doing business with this location for over 20 years. The owner and her staff always try to give great service, and they've been a really valuable resource for my business over these years as we've grown. Sometimes they get super busy, although the recent remodel with an extra register station has helped, but if you're patient, they help and are always friendly. Having been a customer of the UPS Store for many years in Overland Park, when I moved to Wichita, I moved my business address to this local store, expecting a similar level of service. Unfortunately, this location isn't nearly to the level I'd come to expect. Tucked into a tiny slot in a strip mall, they do OK for routine stuff, but it's not the friendliest place in the world, and the franchise owner seems to frequently be in a foul mood. Come the holidays, they simply can't handle the onslaught of business (perhaps hiring more people would be a good start). Unlike other stores, boxholders at this location needing to pick up or drop off prelabeled packages (a 10-second process at most UPS stores, longer here because they use outdated technology) are made to wait in the same long line as those needing something boxed and shipped (a 10-minute process, longer during the holidays). The process of handing a boxholder a package takes less time than the guy shipping a package takes to fill out the requisite manual forms. Mailboxes here also have a lot of unmet maintenance needs that even when pointed out go unaddressed. When my box is up for renewal, I think I'm going elsewhere, even if it does mean the hassle of changing my business address. It's also impossible to ship from here using your own UPS account unless you want to manually fill out an old-fashioned waybill (remember those?). They can't just print the label and bill the shipping to your business UPS account. At that point, they're not offering any value add, and you might as well ship your packages elsewhere. read more

After a few disappointments from the USPS recently, when I needed to send important documents, I just felt they couldn't be trusted to get the job done. My dad uses a UPS Store in Cleveland routinely, and recommended I go that route. I explained there was not necessarily a rush to have the documents arrive, but that I needed to guarantee they would arrive and that I could track them. "Ground commercial" was the best option, and my total came to $23.50. For two envelopes. Again, needing to be confident that the documents would reach their destination, I happily paid this amount. A full two weeks later, I get a call from an associate at this store. She informs me that one of the envelopes has been returned to them as "non-deliverable." The document required a signature, and apparently every time they attempted delivery, no one was in the office. Now, I understand that this is not the fault of this location. However, they were not REMOTELY apologetic when I showed up in a panic to pick up the documents, which were pertinent to a personal financial investment, and now 3 days past a deadline. I asked why documents would not have been left at a local UPS facility for pickup by the recipient, and if a notice showing attempt of delivery or requesting signature would have been left. The only comment I got, in a very rude and condescending tone, was "Yah, they would have left a post-it. Maybe it blew away or someone took it down." They didn't even ask if I wanted to re-ship the documents, offer to fax them, etc. The rude associate just kind of talked over me and told me where to sign to show that I had picked them up. Again, I understand they are not responsible for the documents being returned, but at the very least they could have offered an apology or tried to make it right. read more

I've attempted to have several things done at this location. First I needed something notarized and they couldn't do it, next they Advertise that they do USPS services too but, what they don't tell you is you have to pay cash for a book of stamps, they don't carry custom forms and you can't mail flat rate boxes. What they need to say is they do very limited USPS services. Not to mention the older lady in there is just rude and the other workers aren't that friendly either. I will never waste my time stepping foot back in the door. I rather give my business directly to USPS. read more

I live in Puerto Rico, my mother sent me a package after hurricanes Irma and Maria, Christmas time, this store charged way more than USPS rates (expected) but refused to insure the package. We are part of the US why international rates? I could even get over the international rates but when you charge an elderly woman what you can obviously tell is far more than the worth of the contents and refuse to insure, that's just scandalous! Taking advantage of an elderly customer is not "service" based as you advertise! Had you sincerely had your customers interest in mind you might have suggested they went elsewhere. I have advised my mother to NEVER use your service again and to let all her friends know as well! Shame on you!! read more

I was attempting to ship aircraft parts from this location to Arizona. This was a simple transaction I've done hundreds of times across the country. I was sending payment for the aircraft parts via certified check to hand to the seller of these aircraft parts. The lady who answered the phone was absolutely clueless, rude, and condescending. She told me that their company does not do that. This is OK because advanced packaging 1 mile away said they would gladly take my business. Nice try with the response blaming it on me. There would of been no fraud because the sender was willing to except a cashiers check The sender also has all of my information. Call it what you want your employee was clueless you didn't want to do the job I found somebody who will gladly take my money and do future transactions. read more

The UPS Store keeps their Customer Service Contact information difficult to find. That pretty much explains their level of commitment to customer satisfaction. I work for a small business that ships a few times a week, and the UPS Store has some of the most unhelpful staff I've ever encountered I've used the UPS Store because of it's convenient location for nearly two years now, but I've decided it's worth it to drive a few extra miles to use another company. The UPS Store often tells me (after I've waited in line for several minutes) that I have to step aside and fill out their shipping form, even after I show them my computer-generated (and very clear) receipt for my customer that has all the information they need. They say their form "works better for them." However, after I fill out their form, which takes a few minutes, and then wait in line again for sometimes up to 20 minutes, they usually say they can't read it so I have to read it to them - so they can input everything into their computer. Then when they're finished, they throw their form in the trash - ? I've ended up spending up to 45 minutes there, most of it just filling out an extra form to make things easier for THEM, which I end up reading to them anyway, which they just throw away anyway. Small businesses can't afford to waste that kind of time, and individuals don't appreciate the poor customer service, either. It's just too bad UPS will never see this. read more
