Matt and his team run a really tight ship. They are on top of everything and are super-friendly. Matt remembers me and has my mail in his hand waiting for me before I get to the counter. There is a huge parking lot - and right next to the store are a really nice Mexican restaurant and a big Publix grocery store. There is a really great Ingles grocery store right across the street. The UPS store that I used to deal with in Asheville - at Westgate Plaza - was, on the contrary, chronically understaffed, inefficient and unfriendly. I had a very disappointing experience at this UPS Store with an employee named Melanie. She was unprofessional and appeared to be unfamiliar with standard procedures. UPS Stores have accepted my USPS prepaid packages for years without providing a receipt. I ship packages every week and have dropped them off at many UPS Store locations, including this one just a few days earlier, without any issues. This time, Melanie incorrectly told me that she could not accept the package. I politely explained that I have been using this process regularly for several years and that she was the first employee to tell me otherwise. Instead of listening, she raised her voice and started arguing with me. Employees should know the policies and procedures of their job and communicate with customers respectfully. This experience was unacceptable, and I hope management provides better training to prevent similar situations in the future. read more

This is the second time I tried sending a print order via email first thing in the morning and have did not any response by 5 PM at night. I drive 20 minutes from with my girls in the car to the store to see if they received it, and I am met with an angry and rude attitudes essentially justifying how busy they are and how they didn't have time to respond to any phone calls all day or the email to order. The is an absolute with paper strewn about everywhere and boxes flung around the floor all directions. They then proceed to grumble about how rude and inconsiderate I am of their busyness in front of other clients in the store. I recommend absolutely NOT using this business for service, especially for print orders and heading to Staples on Merriman where they have a far more friendly and receptive staff and execute orders with professionalism and kindness. read more

It is rare, but it was necessary, that I return two pairs of shoes and three pairs of pants purchased from Amazon. I am very organized so I made copies of the return scans provided by Amazon so I wouldn't have to open up my phone. Well, Amazon put two pairs of pants together on one Amazon QR Code, so I made two separate copies of the QR code. I think her name is Melina, a brown skinned, possibly native American woman, with tattoos (I'm not discriminating because I'm Native American and have tattoos) was extremely rude to me right up front. She stated I can't do this even though I had the shoes organized in the QR codes ready to go. She said that she couldn't accept the QR code for the two pairs of pants even though that's how Amazon presented it. In a very Rude Condecending way she said this. I said well I have these QR codes for the two pair pairs of shoes so let's go ahead and take care of this and I'll go back to the end of the line and try to figure out what happened and I will come back to the front. There was no other option. It was the way that Amazon decided to create the QR and the other UPS Customer Service person accepted it. You know, I know it's difficult at Christmas time, but this woman has no right to talk to me the way she did... none whatsoever. RUDE! I also heard her say to another customer when she was coming up behind him with empty boxes that she was going to take his leg off if he didn't get out of her way. Unbelievable, not only am I going to file this complaint but it's going to go to an email address to the manager. I'm tired of people like her getting away with their bad disposition and think that people are going to take it. I was not going to make a scene, but this is not acceptable. At the very least, this person woman who is full of herself, a UPS worker, needs to be written up. She messed with the wrong woman. read more

Today Saturday November 22nd a little after 12:00 noon at UPS Weaverville NC location I had a woman named Malena not sure of the spelling with dark hair and tattoos wait on me. She was really rude when I approached the counter with my sealed return in the original packaging. She abruptly asked me what was in the box. I replied two books and she responded when you bring it in here wrapped up in the box we have to take it out! I said I did not know that and she said when you select the return type I should have known this. I said well I didn't. She said "well if it says it then it means it!" Honestly I didn't know and I never had anyone correct me about anything like this before. Also I have never been talked down to like this before at UPS ever! I was shocked and responded with thank you for the knowledge again. She then just handed me the box back and label with a smirk on her face. I said again I do love the knowledge and thank you for letting me know that's why you work for UPS and I am just the customer and she corrected me and said I don't work for UPS I work for the UPS store! As I turned to leave she responded "yeah well I love knowledge too" screaming it out loud in the store in front of everyone as I was walking out the door. I was so upset and embarrassed that I went to my car sat for a second to gather my thoughts and said I'm going back in and asking for her name and telling her how rude she spoke to me. I cannot allow someone to mistreat me so terribly when I'm just walking in the door with a return. I went back in and got her name and I mentioned to her that I also have worked in customer service positions also and I have never talked down to a customer like that in a condescending and sarcastic. She responded well I've been doing this for a long time still continuing to argue with me as seeing this situation was going nowhere I turned to leave the store again. She then screamed out loud again in the store well I've been doing this for 35 years! I said out of frustration well it looks like it. lol Her screaming response back across the store to me so well so do you! Whatever that means? Lol Nevertheless, I have never been spoken down too or yelled out across a store in any UPS or any other public location for that matter ever. This is Unprofessional behavior. It was unsettling and makes me never want to walk back in there again. Very hostile energy. Seeing from all the bad reviews at this location from others there appears to be a problem here and it's not just me. read more

We paid $150 to ship a glass item for an 80th birthday. It arrived broken in several places. When we went in to file the claim, we were told that the clerk had told us the item was unshippable. Simply put, that is a LIE. If someone had said that, we would not have shipped the item. Further, if they thought it was unshippable, why did they accept it??? We think we are being set up so that the insurance doesn't have to pay. Please be VERY careful and very specfic when shipping from this store. read more

The UPS location in Weaverville has an incredibly rude female clerk who appears to make up rules as she sees fit. I've had 3 very negative interactions with this woman that speak very poorly of this location. I've spoken with a senior employee who told me the woman is Neuro-Diverse as a means of excusing her rude behavior. If that's the case perhaps she should not be in a customer facing position. Rude and dismissive wwith an arrogance more typically found in someone with something to offer the world. read more

Don't go to this UPS store for Amazon returns without printing your return label in advance. Rather than printing it for free (as many UPS stores do) they charge $1.00 to print the return label. I suppose it's not enough that UPS gets paid to ship the package back. You can't even print it yourself there for the standard printing charge. They have a $1.00 print minimum. Total rip off and certainly not making getting things done convenient. On top of that, the employee who "assisted" me was not friendly at all. We buy a lot on Amazon (for personal use and work). We will choose another return option going forward. To be clear, I choose to leave the store and did not use its services. Interesting to see that the store is untruthful in its response and is feigning as if I actually went through with using their services. Yet another reason I would choose not to use this store. read more

I feel they are family! When I head down the road to mail a letter or to make a copy of something, I feel the people are going to do a great job, and I often like to stop in and chat and say hi. I enjoy mailing letters and getting copies made there. For some reason, I do not dread doing some of the simple necessasry things in life anymore. Good people. I returned a pair of Nikes to the ups drop off in weaverville NC and on January 19 and was told that it would take 7-14 business for my money to go back on my card. It's now February 15 and I haven't received my refund and we have called and spoke with someone at the location and was told that the tracking number says there is no movement on the package and their system resets every day and they don't know where my package is even tho I dropped and it off and paid for them to print the label and package the item into a regular box. Long story short they lost my package. I have not gotten my money back and nobody is helping me to figure out where the shoes are and how they are gonna give me my money back. read more

Came into store about 3pm girl sitting at computer not watching flow of people one man being waited on. I standing in line waiting. 2 people came in as I am waiting and the girl on computer helps the lady who just came in and left me standing there. Finally after 10 minutes this girl called me over I told her I thought leaving me standing there was unprofessional and inappropriate. She took my box which I told her needed a label pushed the box aside and finished with me. 4 days later there was box on my porch it was THE SAME BOX I TOOK TO GET MAILED BACK TO THE COMPANY!!!! I was livid I will never use this Ups again I cannot do business with a store that cannot mail a package and follow instructions. Update :November 2019 and many of us regulars who ship packages to loved ones during the holidays are thinking what to buy, how to package and most importantly, how to ship. I can't forget how I, a former 16 year owner of an active custom product business, who shipped glass and other breakables regularly , sold a expensive statue, packaged back into its original box, supported its packaging per UPS's written requests, purchased insurance with the value of a brand new one from Spain( sold a LLadro) , asked the store to put a note on box to remind all who handled box that it was highly insured so that they would care for it more closely and have it broken into a million pieces, and UPS corporate. UPS store and our local Weaverville UPS store throw their hands up and basically say, sorry you're screwed and you lose everything. Big business makes money but us, the customers that support their causes everyday,that are the meat and potatoes of the company, end up with nothing, lose all with no resolution or apology.During the holiday season I ask my fellowweavervillians every. Day people to be careful shipping with UPS. Pack extra careful,perhaps have them package your gifts but that doesn't guarantee it'll get there in one piece or you'll get paid if if you have insurance. Many stories like mine are happening as UPS takes your shipping money, insurance money and the cost of gift and treats package half baked? Takes a beating and your dead a big loser, and no recourse. That's how they make money. No resolution, no, sorry Mr. G can we offer you something for the horrible experience, nothing!!!!! So this holiday season, pack well, maybe get insurance, ask them to watch out for your package, but they're caring less and taking more of your money at UPS industry and stores and just maybe other carriers are more catering in our new world?? I'm trying USPS and Fedex I acted fairly, professionally, honestly and well prepared in my initial dealing with my local UPS.i received damaging service, no Sophie's, blame thrown on I , an experienced owner who trained all my associates to pack properly and get our orders delivered in one piece. I was thinking of all the people who send packages for Christmas, birthdays or who sell goods on eBay. You box things up carefully, then you place insurance on the gift to (1) make all who handle the package more careful and (2) , just in case something happens, at least you can get another one. But in today's world, not all are careful and insurance means extra money for UPS , UPS Stores and insurance companies .If something breaks along the way, you're mostly in trouble as they blame you and don't cover it. They say, you should have the UPS store pack it but they don't always pay that either and that costs a pretty penny.. The what to do for birthdays and Christmas?We're working on an answer and we suggest you cover yourself carefully prior to shipping at UPS stores such as the Weaverville, NC the one I used and lost thousands. I came in to have a label printed for a package that was being mailed to a PO box. They had to send it to the post office to ship because of the PO address, which was fine. They gave me a receipt with the expected delivery date of 7/24. They didn't even bother to put the package in the mail until 8/1. It was a package mailed for a business, and will be arriving 9 days late. I will never use this store again. read more
