My tablet screen was broken and Jeff offered to repair/replace it, but had never done it before on that particular item and wouldn't guarantee the work. I took my chances with him and he did an excellent job. It is now many years later (2024) and I've had to move to a retirement village where we have an IT department which takes care of most of our IT needs. Unfortunately my old, 5SE iPhone which I need because of manual dexterity problems, couldn't be repaired by the new, young tech and ended up in worse shape than before. The floating Home button cannot be eliminated, the regular Home button which had been difficult to push is permanently stuck. It is now Friday evening and I'll have to wait until Monday to somehow get the phone down to Peak Wireless and have Jeff and his crew work their magic on it.

I have used this store several times without an issue. However this last time I did have an issue…read more I had a screen replaced on my iPhone 6, before leaving the store I put my case back on the phone. A couple weeks later I took my case off while at my desk at work. I realized that the screen was loose (not screwed down) and there was a tiny tiny small hole in the screen. I was unable to see it before as there was a case on it. I tried to push the loose screen back into place, only to realize that there was something preventing it... I shook the phone and two screws fell out. I was dumbfounded that they forgot to correctly assembly the phone and that it ended up causing it to break my screen from inside (again a weird small hole the size of a tiny screw that assemblies the phone). I brought it back to the store because they say "we warranty the screen for so many days" .. JOKE!!! The guy at the store, when I returned to show him the issues, told me it doesn't matter when it happened because they don't know if the fault was theres or mine. I assured them that if they look at my phone they can see 1. there are no scratches where I dropped it and 2. what else would make a tiny hole in the screen the size of the screw 3. the screws inside are missing. Why would I take apart my newly replaced screen to do this? The guy looked at the phone and agreed it was assembled correctly but said I should not have pushed on the screen. I stated I did not know that there were screws that were unassembled in my phone because of their neglect . He said he was sorry but his manager wouldn't replace it. I decided to not hassle them over this but would Share the knowledge that this store is not competent 100% of time and that they will not honor their said screen replacement deal!!! I stated I was a customer for couple years and used there service several times and wish they would show customer service this time as it was something that was NOT my FAULT.... but they did not care. Again, I've used this store before for convenience, but will NOT use them AGAIN. I'm not sure if they've changed ownership.... I just do know they have POOR, POOR, CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Learn from me.... STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE IN ASHEVILLE MALL!!!! Very disappointed Former Customer

But after opening the computer at home I discovered a small crack in the corner of the screen. The screen was fine before the track pad repair, and I didn't drop or mishandle the computer after I left the shop. It went right into my padded backpack. When I returned and showed them the problem. they showed me very fuzzy security camera footage to dispute my claim the crack happened at the shop. I came in with one problem, and I left with a bigger problem. The only plausible explanation is they cracked my screen during the repair to the trackpad. Never again would I trust them.

Then I came across the PULS website and was shocked to see that 1)They repaired phones on Sunday 2)They actually come to my home 3)They claimed that a tech could arrive in an hour AND 4)The cost was only $79!!!! I was skeptical, but went ahead and scheduled a tech, where I PROMISE the following was the actual timeline 12:18pm - Submitted the form 12:22pm - Received a confirmation that a tech had been notified 12:26pm - Received a text from the tech, Tommy, that he was on his way 12:40pm - Tommy arrived at the house 1:00pm - He handed my iPhone with a brand new screen!!! UN-FREAKIN-BELIEVABLE RIGHT?? And remember this was a SUNDAY!! The entire experience from the ease of scheduling on the website to the super nice and professional tech, was AMAZING and cannot recommend them enough.

I'm pretty much a Neanderthal when it comes to computers and any accessories related to the functioning of technical equipment. If something goes wrong with my laptop, printer or some other gadget that we can't live without today, I'm loathe to take it somewhere to get it fixed. Places like Best Buy or other repair shops are worse than car mechanics when it comes to price gouging, let alone actually fixing the issue. Chris actually explains to me what is wrong with my laptop or printer or whatever and how he is going to fix it. Even if I'm too dense understand, he won't take that for granted. Once, my laptop's screen went completely blank, I couldn't afford to buy a new one at the time. He got the replacement part & got it working again for about $50. Another time, I was too simple to get my wireless printer to print. Okay, I had never been able to get it to print without connecting the cable directly to my computer. I called Chris and he was able to solve the problem remotely, that night. If I ever have another issue, I would definitely use Miltronics again.
