Very rude and no desire to help customers. My husband went in to do a return. The email said for him to show the facility the email and they would be able to assist. He was told they could not help him because, you know, the label needed to be printed out and the package needed to be boxed. Not only do they have printers and printing in their store, but it is a shipping facility and they have boxes and tape to package things. When i went in to complete the same task. I asked if I could use the printer to print off the label and was rudely told "you're going to have to wait, you need to email it to us." Since they were going to charge me over $5. To print one page anyways, I decided to go elsewhere to print and package my shipment. I will bring it back to them to ship only because the label has been made. We will never come here for any services again. Update: I found out I could bring elsewhere, so I did. Staples copy center was helpful and friendly. I Needed a notary. Showed up at 10:30 but they wouldnt serve me until 11:00. So i drove to another location in tulare which they had no notary until monday. I tried to call to make sure I could see a notary back in visalia but i couldnt get through to a human to ask. So I drove back to visalia and now their was 2 people ahead of me. My wait is 30-45 minutes now. I will never use this service for notary again. They just dont care about peoples time. read more

I've never had any issues with postal companies sending next day air shipments until I went to this UPS store . I paid $73 to get a business check to Sacramento and I was told that it would be at the business by 830 AM the next day. It was never delivered and when I called, the employee left me on hold for 8 minutes and pretty much said that it wasn't their fault and that my package was lost and that I "might" get a refund. I asked the employee how is it that they can lose a large check with next day air shipping and she had no answer and proceeded to act like it was no big deal and then blamed this on her corporate company. Unprofessional and sloppy. Don't waste your time and money coming this this store. read more

Really friendly and helpful. They once went above and beyond to make sure I made it on time. The only thing I would say is that it really smells bad in there and I think it's the owner. I feel bad for the employees that have to deal with it and that's the only reason I cancelled my POBox in there I couldn't deal with the BO. Being that this is a business the owner should take that into consideration when dealing with hygiene. Just to clarify he doesn't look dirty I think it might be lack of deodorant . read more

This place deserves no stars. I cannot reiterate enough that people should not go to this location. I was in the area visiting my in-laws and sent a package home to myself in New York on June 13. The package contained a set of Pottery Barn vases (a wedding gift); I also stuck in a couple t-shirts I'd purchased as my suitcase was pretty full. At the store, the girl behind the counter (Tina) told me she thought the package felt like there was too much extra space (even though I'd packed it carefully with layer upon layer of bubble wrap). I agreed that she could open it and put an additional layer of padding on the top - something I was charged for, of course (note: I did not see the person who did this. I was made to leave the box and was told an employee would attend to it later). I also insured the box for $150. 3 days later my box "arrived" in New York (see pictures). The hole in the side of the box was so large that glass from the completely destroyed vases was all over my front stoop! I attempted to bring the box inside and promptly got glass all over the living room floor. I took numerous pictures, and then my husband immediately took the box outside to examine the contents, and after realizing nothing was salvageable (not even the glass shard covered t-shirts), dumped it in the trash so the dog/kids wouldn't get near it. I called the Visalia UPS store immediately and was told that since my order was self-packed, I likely had no recourse. I was also told by the employee, Aracely, to send the photographs right away and to keep the "packaging" (remember this term) so that UPS could examine it if there was any hope of a claim. My husband dug the box out of the trash. When a UPS claims agent finally contacted me from Virginia, she told me that someone would pick up the package (including the contents) -- not the "packaging" as I was told -- to determine if it really was damaged!! I explained that the worker told me only the PACKAGING was needed and was informed that if my shattered contents were not included they couldn't investigate. What?! First of all, Aracely, with her firm grasp on the English language, misinformed me and the contents were picked up with the rest of my trash that morning. Secondly, was I supposed to keep a dangerous, glass-filled box lying around my house awaiting an equally incompetent UPS worker to again take possession of it to determine if it was damaged?! I was told to call the Visalia store back as it was their decision (as a third party) as to whether my insurance claim would be paid. So I called the store and was told that it wasn't their call. But my claim had been denied. What?! Then who denied the claim? They claimed they never saw any photos (I emailed them 3 separate times!) and that even though they were the last people to open, touch, and reseal my package (and charge me for it!) it was considered self-packed. So insurance was void. Why, then, did I buy insurance? I was also told that I couldn't claim reimbursement on the vases because there were also t-shirts in the box. This also meant the insurance was void. This was clearly fabricated information. Multiple items in a box voids insurance eligibility? But then, even with my claim supposedly denied, I was again told to send the pictures (not sure why) and that a manager would call me back. I sent the pictures, and, of course, no one called. This was a pathetic tactic to get me off the phone and appease me in the moment. Ultimately, I never got my money and lost a beautiful wedding gift. I also never got so much as an apology from anyone "working" at the Visalia store. Bottom line: don't ever use this awful store. It is filled with liars and untrained, uneducated, unethical "workers". The insurance is a scam, and nothing is EVER their fault. The store "manager" should be ashamed. All they're packaging here is horrible customer service. read more

Long story short: don't come before 10am to get your finger prints scanned & make sure you call in to ask about the staff schedule :) I came by at 8 AM to get a live touch finger printing & the girl at the counter very passive aggressively told me no. I told her what I needed "well we're not allowed to do that with just one person here." I told her I don't mind if she has to keep coming and going between me & customers (I get it I know they can get busy & while not ideal for either of us I really need this service today)--her response "well I could do that but it's gonna take awhile, and the computers not on for that & that's gonna take a while too. Plus we're really busy on Friday mornings. So you could wait if that's what you want but it's gonna take a long time." She did let me know I could come in at 10 when the next person came in but again I'm here at 8 when they probably should be able to do the finger print service. read more

Do not go to this UPS Store unless you never want to see your package again. I needed to ship my luggage (a nice roll aboard) back home. Even though it was sturdy luggage, the UPS Store lady recommended (and I agreed) to have her box it up (at my cost). She then asked if I wanted to insure it for $100. I said yes to this low level because I had never experienced a lost UPS package before. She secured the shipping label to the box and then scanned the label. I have the UPS App on my phone so I got the notice immediately that my package was logged into the UPS tracking system. Well, my luggage was never scanned again so I assume it never left the Store. UPS did an investigation to locate the package, but could not locate it. My package was never seen again. I even had a luggage tag so even if the label fell off (as they suggested), you could see my name and address on the tag. The package was worth over $1,000, and the Store knew it, hence the disappearance. I filled a claim with the Store and was just informed that UPS would send me check for $100 (the insurance value) plus shipping cost back (and that is it). Again do not go there unless you want your things to disappear! Never again! No stars! My Response to the Owner's YELP comment dated 12/22/15 I reiterate my original comment that this UPS Store scanned in my package into the UPS tracking system and that my package was never scanned in again. There was no other evidence communicated to me that UPS took possession of the package (i.e. a security camera in the UPS Store showing the UPS driver actually picked up my package?). Regarding the Owner's insurance comment, I addressed that issue in my original review. Further, I would rather have my luggage contents delivered than the money from insurance. Is the message, if you want a package delivered, you should pay for additional insurance? read more

They are knowledgeable, helpful, and have great personalities. I was impressed to say the least. Mailed a package today and there were three customers not wearing masks. It is such a small thing to protect someone else who may be vulnerable to serious complications. The staff said nothing and served the customers despite the fact protocols were not followed. I don't blame the clerks but the owner needs to enforce the requirement so their employees are safe and the public is safe. I discovered last month at literally the last minute that the regulating board that i am licensed through for my profession was requiring a Live Scan. I had called every place in Tulare and Visalia that offered this service only to find that I had missed the hours that it was offered. I went to the USPS store in Visalia on Mooney Blvd and because it was the week before Christmas, jumped in line that was out the door. I explained my circumstances and without hesitation they agreed to assist me. I was impressed with all of their courteous and professional attitudes. Mini, Rebecca and Fallon all had a smile and they displayed to everyone the best customer service to everyone, including myself, that I have seen in years. It was Saturday and I was late reached Visalia to do an notary affidavit. Called the store before hand and told the situation but they reassured to come any way. When we were there it was already past six and the store was kept open waiting for us. The said they have recently taken over management of this store few months back. Looked like the young man and the woman were related. Did our work well past six thirty and reasonably priced. Talked to us like family but very much professional and also dealt couple another customers side by side us. Seems they are very flexible in handling rush and business.
