I love this UPS Store. It's close. The employees are friendly. And they do their best to get your package out the same day. My shipments aren't packed & charged by them. So I can't speak to the costs & packing. My shipments are all either Amazon or Macy's returns or boxes I pack and ship with my UPS account. Regardless of what I'm shipping they are always happy to take care of my service needs. Today was an emergency. Because I had been sick I hadn't been able to pick up my sister's birthday present. If it didn't go out today it wouldn't have made it to her by her birthday. I made one of my mad dash runs, first having to pick up meds before going to a friend's house where the gift was. It was then a quick pack job & label print before I got back in the car & rushed to the UPS Store. It was after 6 so I asked if they had their UPS pickup yet. She responded that he was here now & she got it out today. Wheww.... I made it, only because of the help of this store. The location is on Shore Drive in the small shopping center located at the entrance to Kroger. It offers shipping, packing, copy & fax, shredding and sells shipping and packing supplies. I came in to print 2 black and white pages and Kassidy told me to send it to the email listed and that it would be a flat $2.00 fee to use the computer plus additional 0.18 per page. I told her I didn't need to use the computer and she said the fee was for her to pull up the email. I have never heard of this in all my years of printing at UPS. They usually let you self print from the printer. She then charged me $2.50 (not the $2 she said) plus $0.18 per page. $3.05 for two black and white pages. What a scam! Not returning to this location and suggest management handles business differently. read more

Myself and several other customers tried to visit the location just after 5PM (store is supposed to be open until 7PM) on May 9th, only to find the door locked and a sign on the door that read "closed early due to labor shortage". The employees were inside and their attitude showed that they did not care about any of the customers. I was very disappointed with the level of service and professionalism displayed. Be aware that even if you visit this location during business hours you may not get service! I hope UPS corporate addresses this issue and provide better service to its customers going forward. read more

After 7 years and hundreds of visits and update is way past due. I no longer have a PO Box here so my visits are no longer weekly. However I still have the occasional Amazon return etc. The staff of typically three keeps things moving at this tiny UPS station. The area is kept clean and I always have received friendly customer service. They now offer a newer service of paper shredding which I've yet to use but plan to. The copiers are self serve and they do offer a limited supply of shipping materials. I think a four stars continues to fit them well. read more

This UPS branch provides the full array of services. UPS rates vary based on time, distance, and size...which is not unusual. The service at this branch tends to be hot or miss. Sometimes they're really on but when they're 'off' it tends to be an unfriendly and frustrating experience. read more

Honestly, I usually go to FedEx. This visit, my daughter was in a crunch with a Science Project due & my brand new Epson printer broke down. Walked in and was immediately greeted. I don't recall the names but, both of the female employees were extremely nice, patient, and helpful in assisting my daughter quickly print what she needed. Definitely a pleasant experience. This is the only UPS store I will go to because they are fast, friendly and helpful. They always have more than one person working so I'm in and out quickly. Stopped in to get a notary, manager on duty told me he was busy and suggested I return anytime before 4pm. Returned at 3pm, the manager went to the back. Told the clerk I'm here for a notary she told me the manager said he was busy. Asked who is the district or general manager. A male clerk responded no one, his father owns the store. read more

I have been in here many times during this pandemic and not worn a mask. Last week I went and was told it's a law to wear a mask and that my 4,3 & 1 year old need a mask. I informed the lady at the checkout it is not a law and my children do not wear masks, it is not safe for them. I was apologized to. I let it go. I went in again today and did not have a mask and was told I had to have one. I said I don't have one. They were rude about it. We won't be returning to this store. Everyone can not wear masks, some of us have trauma/ health issues. read more

This store is close to my home and convenient to use... never again. Today my wife went in to have a drawing my daughter drew for a relative laminated. Seemed like a simple enough job considering they are suppose to do professional business services. The first employee did not know how to use the machine well and the laminated drawing came out crumbled. With very little concern over the fact they just ruined the drawing the manager, Keanna, carelessly attempted to "fix" the problem by ripping the paper out of the laminate, which tore a piece of the drawing as well. Now with my daughters drawing in pieces and wife obviously upset Keanna gave no apologies. It doesn't matter what the item is they should treat it with respect (especially if it might have sentimental value, which this did). After asking to speak to the owner things got worse. He was very unsympathetic, simply told my wife she should have made a photo copy, and after only a minute or two of hearing my wife voice her complaint, asked her if "she was done" and told her "there's the door". When she kept talking to him he told his employee to call 911 and came around the counter as if he was going to physically remove her from the store. My wife is 5ft tall and not a threat to anyone. There was only one other customer in the store and my wife was not screaming or making a scene (other than crying). I wouldn't have believed someone would treat a customer so rudely and threaten to call the cops on them when they have a legitimate reason to complain about the services provided... but it is all on video! read more

I was just in this store to get a document notarized. I was greeted by a younger male employee immediately, but he was unable to help. I don't think he was authorized to notarize documents. He said two other employees would be with me shortly. An older male and an older woman were talking about something with the store business. She was saying if she can't figure it out the problem, she'll give him a call. I was thinking since I was the only customer in the store that they would wrap up their chat and continue once I left. But no. They said I'll be right with you and stepped away from the desk to continue talking about whatever store business they had. I've worked in retail and customer service jobs before. I thought it was rude to continue having what seemed like a relaxed conversation about something they needed to solve in house, instead of helping your only customer in the store. After realizing they planned to continue this conversation and seeing how the woman looked directly at me standing there and kept talking, I decided to take my business elsewhere. I'm not sure if it's because I'm young or a minority that they thought my time wasn't valuable enough, but I did not appreciate being the only customer in the store and having to wait for them to finish their conversation. I thought the customer came first. Luckily, less than 10 minutes away is another UPS store who helped me out. The UPS store on 1083 Independence in VA Beach, was a WAY better experience. The young lady who helped me was busy with other customers but when she got to me she was kind, helpful and very quick service. I'll make the extra 10 minute drive to go to this location instead next time. read more

15 years I've been coming here and all of a sudden they want to charge me to buy a roll of tape, a service they have never charged for before (we are talking about a strip of tape to seal a box). No warning, no exceptions, just buy the tape or get the hell out....I know it's a minor thing but I'll take my business elsewhere, they charge too much anyway. read more

Dropped in for two Amazon returns during a storm. My packages needed some attention and to be patted down with a towel from the rain, which I planned on finishing at the store, but the gentleman working this evening took care of everything for me and I was on my way within two minutes. He really did not have to extend his assistance, but this is a great example of going the extra mile! Very pleased. I would frequent this location more often if they had an alternative for printing other than the self printer which charges by the minute. read more

Only giving 1 start because today I worked with amazing person who was bubbly and friendly. But then when I had to come back about 30-1 hour later because I had forgotten a package I had a lady who looked like she didn't want to even be there RUDE from the gate her name is Destiny and wouldn't let me Talk. Tried to spell my last name for the return and she just kept demanding I spell my last (as I was but she kept being rude and talking above me) the lady I originally had before was watching the whole situation. I just told the lady to finish my transaction and I had my hand out my arm bent to my side no where near her looking for my receipt and she just kept saying get my hand out of her face when again it didn't even extend over the weight station as my arm was dent she just kept saying get outta my store etc. this lady is horrible awful and should have been sent home. I'm not sure what her problem is what her deal is! But talking being rude to customers from the gate isn't how someone should be running and allowing a business to be run. I won't say I won't return because I will! And each time I deal with this BS at this location I will document it! I will reach out to where I conducted my business and advise them of this interaction and maybe they will go a different route also contact Amazon as well! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! My wife just brought a PRE-PAID Amazon return to the UPS store. What should have been a no cost return ended up being $10.16, ($6.00 for the box and $3.80 for packing the box.) The expensive $6 box I understand, as she went to the store without one. What I do not understand, is that when my wife was told the total was "$10.16", to which she replied, "that's an expensive box", Keanna didn't state that the box was $6 and that she was being charged an additional $3.80 for packing said box. Keanna did not ask my wife if she would like the box packed for her. When I called, she admitted to not asking if she needed to pack the box nor did she tell my wife that for her to put two small items in a $6 box that it would cost $3.80. Maybe $3.80 isn't a lot to many people, but based on her attitude and previous reviews, we can only assume that this location is notorious for taking advantage of unassuming customers. BE CAREFUL OF THIS STORE AND READ ALL CHARGES BEFORE SWIPING AS THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR SERVICES NOT DISCLOSED TO THE CUSTOMER!!! read more

Been going here over 10 years. Today was my last visit. The staff was clueless about UPS and the procedure for finding a lost package. Keanna, the supervisor/manager, said she can't do anything more than I can do because UPS Stores are not actually UPS, and she doesn't know anything about lost packages, so told me to call UPS. Acted ticked off that she had to come out to the counter from the back room to talk to a customer. Hey UPS: Shape up! If your "stores" are run by people who have "UPS" on their shirts, then educate them on YOUR procedures for lost packages. They represent you whether you like it or not. I will avoid UPS in the future. When forced to return merchandise using a pre-printed label, I will use a different UPS "Store" or drop-off. This unit has terrible customer service. read more

I went to the UPS store on 10/29/19 at noon. There were three employees and two customers. I waited in line and the male employee never acknowledged me and walked to the back of the store. The female employee completed with her customer and asked to help me. I walked up and asked her a question. I then told her that I needed to complete the shipping label. I finished the label in about 3 minutes, I turned around and the employee had gone away. I asked the third employee if the girl was coming back and she walked back to look for her and came out and told me to hang tight. Not sure why an employee would walk away when there was a customer in the store. I left and will do my shipping elsewhere. read more

AVOID AT ALL COST. Which might end up being twice the amount you paid for shipping along with the time it costs you to take off of work, sit in traffic, gas inconvenience and frustration so bottom line it will cost you a lot! I had a package sent to this store and when i came in to pick it up i found out that they had "refused" it at the store and sent it back to the shipper! No reason why it was refused or even an electronic notice that spoke to the fact that it had been sent back. The store staff said the best they could do is have me tell the shipper to send it back to they're store one more time? Why so they can refuse it again? They had no record or give a s*it as to why my package was refused either there recommendation was to do what i did originally.. but just do it again and hopefully it will garner a favorable result the second time around.. but no guarantees that it wont get turned around again!! The staff here are all just punching a clock hating there life decisions and want customers to feel there pain. Its apparent by there lack of name tags so you cant call them out by name. Whoever the branch owner is needs to clean house and hire new staff because ill get my package(s) at some point but this place will never be on my list of reputable business owners and consequently never get any of my business. read more
