This has been my go-to mail drop for years BUT, I took a 9x12 envelope to send to Portugal and was told it would take more than $100 to send it by UPS. I said I didn't want to send it by UPS but wanted the cheapest method. I was told this was the least expensive options and there were no alternatives. This particular UPS location was one I frequently used, but not anymore. My customer service experience was unacceptable and therefore I will be using another UPS location going forward. I came in this store about two weeks ago to leave an Amazon package. There was a customer in front of me being served by a middle age male. When this individual finished with the customer, he worked away without acknowledging me and started doing something else while I stood there. I had to say, "are you going to assist me today". It was obvious he didn't want to serve me, so I left the Amazon package, requested a receipt and walked out with the intention of never going back to that location. read more

I shipped a desktop computer to college for my son. The declared value of the computer was $1500. I paid in excess of $150 to shipping it insured. The computer arrived damaged. UPS flat out denied the claim for damage. I contacted the franchise owner, who said he would get UPS to re-examine the claim. I have had no further communication from him despite several emails and going to the store to leave a message asking him to call me. read more

This review is for the UPS store in Towson near Macy's. It's terrible. Did you know that UPS stores are individually franchised? And they can charge whatever they like for packing and shipping. This store constantly up-charges by 300%. I've stopped using them for my shipping and packaging. The one in Yorkridge Shopping center has much better pricing. read more

I was assisted by Peter, everything was going smoothly until a black woman colleague NOT HIS BOSS btw who was sharing his kiosk butted in and realized he didn't input my email. She pulled him up on it right in front of me with some snarky comment like "If you were gonna do it you would have" he proceeded to be clearly annoyed and said some comments in a low tone to himself. I pulled her on up it and how she should have clearly pulled him to side instead of berating him in front of the customer. It was a simple mistake and he appeared to still be learning. There was no need for someone who is not his boss (i asked him this directly) to comment in such a rude regard. Peter acted like it was nbd but I know from the comments he said to himself that I overheard that he was upset by it. She ended up apologizing to him which just goes to show either she did it because I was there (probably why) or she did it because she was trying to be sincere. I was so upset by the interaction I was physically shaking. I told Peter he deserved to be treated fairly and he thanked me. Clearly his coworker needs a lesson in kind consideration. I am appalled by this interaction and I would NOT recommend using this UPS. read more

The customer service here is horrible and they refused to give me a receipt. I am not sure what the issue is with giving a customer a receipt for tracking. This was after the guy took my packages and he wouldn't give me my packages back either. I don't recommend going here at all. read more

This is the nicest UPS store I have used. Friendly employees and owner. I don't understand the negatives but I guess there are bad days sometimes. I recently had a document notarized at this UPS store and just found out that the notary didn't correctly put in her notary expiration date. It was important paperwork and now it has to be completely resubmitted and I'll have to take the time and pay another notary to redo it. I wouldn't recommend going using their notary service. The young man who assisted me was wonderful. Great customer service - packed a fragile package for me which arrived beautifully. Good communicator ! I was very pleased with the service he provided ! During my visit there was a young female employee in the background complaining about her schedule, hours, supervisor, etc - total attitude. Was very unprofessional. Putting on quite the show. These conversations should not take place in front of customers, especially when other people were waiting and she was not taking care of them. I wrote to/spoke with these folks at this UPS store a number of times trying to get them to give me an estimate for shipping an auction item I had won at very nearby-by Alex Cooper Auctions. Was told each time I'd get an estimate for shipping 'soon' from "Peter" -- who oddly was NEVER available. NEVER got a response, This was several times. Interestingly, this store is very close to Alex Cooper Auction House. Then I finally got in touch with a competing shipper who immediately responded and was very helpful. read more

Terrible store with terrible customer service. This branch packed and shipped some fragile items for me which arrived damaged. Even after admitting they could have packaged them better, they were particularly unhelpful with processing a claim for the $1400 worth of items. They insisted the insurance that I purchased was actually indemnity only...and they would not reimburse the full amount. Instead they made me locate a restorer and get an official quote on the restoration costs. Their indemnity carrier was not very responsive and the store actually tried pawning me off on the indemnity carrier and backing out of the process. In the end, it took 6 months to get a fraction of the costs reimbursed. DO NOT EVER USE THIS STORE. THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PACKAGING SERVICES AND THEY ARE EXTREMELY LAX IN HELPING IF ITEMS GET DAMAGED IN TRANSIT. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! read more

I shipped 9 packages from this location to myself in California because I was moving. 2 boxes were lost and 1 damaged. UPS' policy is to share all information from the store in which it was shipped then communicated to the customer. It has been 2 months and I still have yet to receive any information from this store and have lost an esitatmeted $1,100 in replaceable items and several personal items. I would highly recommend another location or even FedEx or USPS. STAY AWAY! read more

Today, 7/11/17, I stopped by to mail a package and the gate was still up at 8:45 AM. This is the second time in 2 weeks that no one has been there to open up the store at the posted time of 8:30 AM. Really disappointed that someone hasn't addressed this. The prior time this happened three people were waiting outside the door at 8:40. I left and went to the UPS in Timonium/Lutherville at Ridgely Rd. When the store is open the service is great but on certain days of the week, they are not opening at the scheduled time. read more
