On November 18, 2025, I had one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had at this UPS Store on Mahan Drive in Tallahassee. Because of tragic events (plane crash) in the UPS network routed through Louisville, KY, my shipment was delayed for days and I knew I would miss the original home delivery window due to pre-planned travel. UPS customer service had pre-cleared a hold for my package at a local UPS location and confidently guaranteed that it would be held there until I returned from a trip. When I woke up this morning, I found that the package was suddenly marked as "returning to sender." This is not an ordinary package. It contains wine worth several thousand dollars and it is perishable in heat and during additional transit. When I called the UPS Store on Mahan, they were completely nonchalant. The young woman who answered and the gentleman she was working with refused to even look up my tracking number. They repeatedly told me there was nothing they could do and would not take the simple step of checking whether the package was still there so that I could send someone to pick it up on my behalf. To make matters worse, UPS customer service specifically directed me to work with this local store to resolve the issue and hold the package. The store simply refused to help at all. No effort to problem solve, no empathy for the situation, and no interest in protecting an expensive and time sensitive shipment. I rarely leave negative reviews, but the lack of basic customer service and unwillingness to even pull up a tracking number at this location was unacceptable. read more

Very convenient location. Especially useful for dropping off Amazon returns. However sometimes there are long lines. And it can be hard to get in and out of close-by parking. read more

Dropped off package for Amazon return and the person I talked with was rude and did not seem happy to be working. She was a big gal and acted like I was putting her out and wasting her time. Had two back-to-back encounters at this store and both times, I was very satisfied. I went in this past Wednesday to inquire about the rental of a mail box and to also ask questions regarding shipping boxes of donated shoes; the young lady who was working the counter at the end was very patient in answering my questions and very thorough in her explanations. I went back to this store today to ship boxes of shoes that my sorority had collected (for Soles4Souls). The young man who helped me today (working the end counter) was very nice also. When he realized that we had quite a few boxes, he took it upon himself to bring a dolly out to help us load/unload the boxes. What a pleasant experience, and I have to tell you, I have been quite frustrated at times with these stores. However, I didn't have a problem at all at this location. I certainly appreciate the great customer service and plan to return! Hopefully, my future returns to this store will be on positive notes! read more

Efficient. Great service. I stopped in here during lunch last week and there was a line. The guy working was so efficient, he handled everyone quickly and was friendly. I had some very important documents to overnight to San Fran, and to my surprise, when meeting my new hire in this plaza, all the clouds parted and The UPS store was just there. It was meant to be. I was on the road and didn't have a scanner with me, and the guys in the store helped me print the documents needed from my phone, and since I've done business with other UPS stores, they already had my info and destination address on file. So super easy, so super quick, I was in and out in 15 minutes and they ensured I got my important docs to where they needed to be, when they needed to be there. Super friendly and helpful, if I need to send anything else while I'm in Tally, it's good to know this place is there. Thank you UPS Store! read more

This is a busy errand-runners dream. I have a lot on my plate: mother of two, bout to move across the country blah blah blah. I have a to-do list that is as longer than the Yellow Brick Road. One of the things I was dreading on said list was returning a packaged good that Amazon tricked me into purchasing. I hate waiting in line at the post office only to have them tell me that I labeled everything wrong and I have to start over. I got up the gumption to just go to UPS and get the dang thing over with. I entered the store: no line. The UPS worker ran up to me and offered to carry my oversized package. I gave him the return printout from Amazon sheepishly realizing that I had neither cut it out nor taped it on. He waved my embarrassment away and said "you're good! bye!". And that, friends, is the story of the easiest parcel transaction that has ever existed in the history of this wide world. Thank you UPS Mahan; you are all the unsung heroes of my chaotic life. read more

I've had good experiences printing and scanning stuff at this location while here on business. FYI, the scanning is a little expensive ($1 a scan) Joey, who works at this store and is often there, is extremely helpful and pretty much sets the standard for good customer service. read more

I NEVER leave reviews for anyone but felt the need when it costs me so much money during a time when people are struggling to make ends meet. DO NOT USE UPS FOR YOUR SHIPPING NEEDS!! Paid $55 for 2 day shipping for birthday cookie order for my cookie business. Day 3 & it has still not been delivered! 3 day shipping would've been $20ish but spent the extra $35 to get them there in time for a birthday party. UPS store will not issue any refunds for any packages that aren't delivered on time! Will never use UPS again! CERY POOR customer service! If the USPS can seem to get the packages delivered within the promised time I don't see why UPS can't. Would give zero stars if it would slow me to. read more

I raced into this store late afternoon on Thursday with a package that had to be delivered to Miami the next morning. In my haste to get it shipped on time, I failed to include the shipping address on the pre-printed air bill (pre-printed with the billing info). The young lady that assisted me NEVER made me aware that I had forgotten to include the delivery address, but asked me if it was the same as the billing address, to which I replied that it was. When I left the store I had no reason to believe my package would never leave town. Four days later I had to hunt-down and retrieve my package from the UPS shipping center near the airport. Needless to say it never left Tallahassee and I was none-too-pleased. After picking up my package I visited the UPS store on Mahan, and the same young lady told me in no uncertain terms that the error was totally on me and neither she nor the store had any responsibility for the screw-up. While I acknowledge my responsibility for this whole mess, the UPS store couldn't have provided me with worse customer service. The young lady was quite emphatic that there was nothing she could or would do. When I asked her why she knowingly allowed my package to leave her store with no shipping address, she said pre-printed air bills go out like that regularly, and there has never been a problem before. That is the most ridiculous statement in the history of earth and was both absurd and insulting. I am an easy person to work with and a simple "I'm sorry" would have gone a long way to appeasing me. Unfortunately that didn't happen and even worse, I received ZERO understanding, contrition or offers of support from this store. I will never, ever use this place again no matter how desperate I am. read more

First of all, the manager of UPS Store #6537 was not wearing a mask although her colleague was wearing one. The manager has no customer service skills whatsoever. She is surly, unsympathetic, argumentative and unhelpful. I understand "following the rules" but when someone says they are picking up a package for their 85 year old, at risk mother, there should be some consideration given during this time. I had the tracking number, my mother's name, address and the contents of the package (which was printed "LIVE PLANT") on the box. She was uninterested in finding a solution. My mother even called the manager and asked her to release the package to me. She refused. I had to go get my mother, who uses a cane, to come out and go inside the store and risk COVID19 to get it. She hasn't been out in two months. I even have my mother's Visa card because I shop for her every week and I was told that it couldn't be used as ID because I "could have stolen it." What an unprofessional person you have in her. I would not go back to that UPS store again for any reason. read more

I can't count how many things I've shipped from here. These guys are awesome!! Sometimes I just don't have the materials I need to ship something and they're always super helpful with packing my item. I also like having USPS and UPS shipping options all in one place. read more

My delivery took FOREVERRRR even with amazon prime it was supposed to arrive days ago and I still have not seen it. I feel cheated and attacked and I have had to reorder the product several times and they still have not delivered it. I would not recommend shopping with ups or amazon ever again, from now on I will strictly be using FedEx or other shipping services. read more

This place is a complete joke. I sent irreplaceable items from this location due to be delivered this past Monday. When the recipient did not receive it Monday, or Tuesday, I went in on Wednesday to find out what the problem was. It turns out I didn't look at the shipping receipt, nor have I ever done so in my life. But the person who helps me at this location was brand new (which I found out today), and sent my package to an address I've never heard of. When I asked the manager why somebody brand new and clearly didn't know what he was doing was handling my package, she asked me where he got that address stating "he didn't pull it out of thin air".... Well I don't know any other address in that town in Florida oh, so yes he did pull it out of thin air. He probably clicked on an address to pre-fill. But the moral of the story is not only do they allow incompetents to work their counters and handle your packages, but they'll turn around and try to blame you. I cannot begin to tell you how angry I am.... I'll never ever use UPS store again read more
