UPS destroyed my property without permission. We took several pieces of original framed artwork created by our father/ grandfather to the UPS store on Tamiami Trail in Sarasota Fl. The pieces were all wrapped and packed by the UPS store staff in 2 separate boxes. One box was delivered timely, the other was not received. We tracked the second box and were told that "All merchandise was not recoverable and was discarded". UPS made the decision to destroy our property without consent and without notifying us about the damaged shipment! We contacted the UPS shipping store, and they referred us to UPS corporate. UPS corporate sent us back to the UPS store. Since then, we have received a complete run- around and still do not understand what happened to cause such damage and why UPS took the liberty to destroy our property without consent. The store owner and team have stopped returning calls and UPS corporate will not do anything to compensate or assist. read more

Worst UPS location!!! For months they haven't had a printer there to print a shipping label! "It's being repaired", "it's just not online yet"...so many excuses! Such a waste of time going all the way there assuming their printer will be fixed this time--never again! Come on UPS store -- do better for your customers!!! read more

I came to this store with 7 prepaid boxes being shipped out from our retail store, asked if I could drop them off, was told no, because they have too many boxes. I was told I would have to wait to be waited on to do so. So I did. Then when I got up to the register with the seven boxes I asked where I could place them. The gentleman told me I would have to place each one on the scale individually. I asked him if something has changed as I always bring items in with prepaid addressed information attached, and just roll the cart up and leave. He told me he could not make things that easy for me. So again, I asked if their policy has changed. He point blank said, "Do you want me to ship these things out or do you want to keep MOLESTING and bothering me so o won't ship them at?" I was appalled by this wording and behavior and so were others...so I proceeded to take my packages back. I have seen this behavior in one other UPS store and started coming here. I have always dealt with nice people until I had to deal with the "owner" today. I will not be back. In fact, I am switching my account to FedEx. Easier to drop off at Walgreens than to deal with rude people who believe because they own a business they can mistreat others. I own a business, and I would never treat a customer, let alone a human the way this "man" did. If I could post ZERO stars, I would so just that. New to the city and needed to drop of a modem for return to the previous provider. The man behind the counter barely looks at me I say hello need to return this to At&t. He says 'what's that a comcast thing?, I can't do that in the new system.' Calls to a woman working in another part of the store to come do it. She responds can't hear him and he yells just finish what your doing first then come there. So I wait. Another person comes in and he waits on them (another prepaid return) then as the next person comes in I ask if maybe he could relieve the other person so she can help me. The other person comes up at that point, he looks at me and says "NASTY!" I apologize to the woman for having to work there with him and then realize she may be a related to him. She takes excellent care of me and I'm out in 2mins. Will not go to this establishment again! read more

This UPS location truly has a neighborhood feel even though it's in a shopping center off Tamiami. I bring packages here frequently and I'm always greeted by friendly faces. Tina is the best! Her upbeat energy and personal greeting is so kind and genuine. I'm consistently handed a tracking receipt without asking and there's rarely a wait of any kind. Parking is easy as well. read more

Just before 3.00 PM today, I went to the UPS store at Bee Ridge and McIntosh to send a package. I walked in and none of the employees was wearing a mask except one person. They did not even attempt to put the mask on when they saw me. I asked why and I got blank stares. I turned around and walked out. My negative risks if I get Covid are high. Everyone of the Ups employees were very young and exactly the age of a lot of people carrying the virus and spreading it because they do not want to wear the mask. I called the Fruitville UPS and spoke to a very nice young woman who said UPS has a mass mandate. Until Covid is gone, I will never return to the Bee Ridge branch as it is the second time I have gone there and seen employees without masks. If you are high risk, do not go there. I will be filing a complaint. read more

If I could rate this establishment as below 0 stars, then I would. Their deposit boxes were being repaired by the owner with a make shift tool when I walked in, which I'm sure shows the quality of their items within the store. Smells like a cigarette box as soon as you walk in. Owner and Helpers (which I'm sure are probably family) look they are active drug users, not a pleasant sight. They don't accept Amazon returns, despite Amazon return indicating they do. Tried to explain this and was told to show them proof. I said a UPS driver dropped off the label and indicated I wouldn't need one if I decided to drop off. They said they aren't affiliated with UPS drivers. They are franchisee. That's when I knew I was dealing with not just unhelpful people, but ugly people. The helper must have heard me say she smelled like a cigarette as I walked out because she tried to say something to me as I drove away, but I don't engage with people like her. Hence me never going back. I'm sure that $1.50 for an envelope was so worth losing a customer and me telling everyone I know to not give them business- which looked like they need. Enjoy! read more

This UPS privately owned store on 8388 Tamiami Trail is the worst, totally lacking in professionalism for customer service and business. We brought a number of expensive of dishes in July to be mailed to the state of Washington. We gave them our address, our credit card number and our telephone number. They were supposed to safely pack the dishes and mail them to the address in Washington. After many weeks of not hearing from them we tried to contact them by phone. We called over five times, maybe 7 times in total, or more. They never returned my call. I went in person to see what the holdup was. I was told that there are a lot of boxes in the back and sometimes the owner of the store will mail the rush boxes first. The clerk, Terry, I think is her name took my telephone number and the telephone number of the address in WA and said she would call them or me or both of us to let us know why the boxes weren't shipped. This was August 22, 2020. We never heard from them. WA folks tried calling the business again and the business never returned our calls. Today, September 17, 2020 I went in again to see what the hold up was. I spoke directly to the owner who was extremely unpleasant toward me. Her reason for not contacting us was that the WA folks was supposed to call her because she, the owner didn't have their address or phone number. Her excuse was, when I told her WA called her store several times since the beginning of July, her response was she has a new phone system and doesn't know how to retrieve the messages. Her husband, the other owner, wanted these phones and she didn't. Now she is saying that the dishes, after they were packed were sent to storage because she never heard from the people in WA. She actually also said, she can't do everything in the store just because she is the owner. I can add more nonsense to this review but I believe you get the point. The female owner had an answer for everything. All of her excuses weren't making any sense. As an owner of a business I would expect her to at least make some sense and learn how to get messages from her phone system. I will never do business agin with this privately owned UPS. Good luck to you if you think mailing your small package from this location is a good idea. read more
