Had a small envelope to mail regular USPS postage. The clerk put it on the scale and immediately said $15. I said I just need a couple of stamps. I knew it couldn't be more than 2 stamps. I left and went to the Post Office and was charged .78 to process. This is the second time I have been quoted an outrageous price. The first time I thought the clerk must be new and doesn't under the pricing so I left. $15 must be the standard starting charge to mail an envelope. read more

They measured a padded envelope like it was a box and told me it was $15 for UPS and $28 for USPS. I told them I didn't believe that and took my envelope to the post office. I was charged $7.60 to mail it! They have a good scam going and are probably pocketing the extra money they charge everyone. Be careful if you go in there to mail a simple envelope. DO NOT USE FOR AMAZON RETURNS. Once before, I used this location to return a weight belt. The owner insisted that it had to be boxed because of the weight. $12 and change. TODAY, I went in to return a juicer. The owner now stated that it had to be in a box because it was going to the seller. This one was going to cost $9 and change because he would not charge me for packing materials. I told him that I would take care of the return at Kohl's. He insisted that I would be told the same thing. LIAR The return at Kohl's took 3 minutes! They pack and ship. read more

I called the store twice to make sure it was OK. I had a bag of dog food delivered to the store from HEB, to be shipped to me out of state. Now. mind you, I live a couplie of blocks from the UPS store and the HEB: I could have walked to both of these locations Since my billing and delivery address is different, you guessed it, they delivered it a couple of blocks for over $50.00 I called the UPS store and really, there is no solution as they kept blaming everyone else. 10 days later, still no food, hungry dog.. read more

Conveniently located in the Thousand Oaks Shopping Center (and directly next to H-E-B), this UPS Store warrants a visit as it offers many useful services and is staffed by courteous, helpful employees. While not being as large as a full-fledged FedEx Kinko's, I like that I can pick up a card from H-E-B or the nearby Hallmark store (also located in the shopping center) and then mail it out via the UPS Store. I also do quite a bit of online shopping, and if I need to return a purchase via UPS (as often required by online retailers), then I can easily drop it off at this location. Even if your package has a pre-made label with the cost of shipping already covered, employees at this location will scan the label and provide you with tracking information and a printout acknowledging the drop-off with the store. As mentioned before, this location also offers a number of services such as: notary services, key duplication, printing, mailboxes, and moving services. They also have plenty of moving supplies, boxes, stamps, and even cards available for purchase. While I wish that their morning hours were slightly earlier (by 8:30 most people, including myself, are required to be at work by that time), I do like that their evening hours extend to 7:00 P.M. All in all, between the conveniences offered and the friendly staff, I am happy to do business with this UPS Store location. Side notes: Locating a convenient parking spot, especially if you have a number of packages to carry, can be difficult during peak hours as parking is shared with H-E-B and other stores' customers. There are a couple of 15-minute parking spots located near the UPS Store's entrance, but again, they are quickly nabbed by other customers. This location is closed on Sundays. read more

Went in to print something and computer wouldn't work. After restarting computer the lady let me us a different interface that did not time me. I was on computer for maybe 1 min -2 min as I knew exactly how to get on my email and print and close. I always print and only use a couple minute. Since it was not on the timer interface lady tried to charge me 5 min and copies. Thought that was kind of excessive when I thought she was being nice in the beginning. Go print at office max where it's cheaper & always use the timer cause she's not being nice , she's trying to over charge you. read more

Came in tonight around 1800 to ship a package. The counter boy told me that third party shipping has to be done at the "hub". He told me the location. ..35 and Rittiman he also told me that I would have plenty of time since they close around 2030. I drove all the way out to find out the hub closed at 1800!!! What a freaking idiot! A UPS employee giving out false information about another location. Never will i visit this store for any shipping needs. read more

Wanted $60.00 dollars to ship a package to California. Nothing special, ground shipping. Thought it was way overpriced. Went to USPS same package $23.00 with signature confirmation. I realize UPS stores are a franchise and have to make a dollar and should be expected for the convenience. But $60.00 was a little too high, not the first time they have quoted me Price's too high. I will not go back, just not worth it for those rates. read more

Ups stores are NOT Ups and do not have the same customer service. I attempted to ship a small package and was told it was against policy to send currency through ups. I questioned this since the collectible coins I wanted to ship had been shipped to me via ups first. After getting the clerks explanation another clerk comes over looks at my paperwork and tells me, ' take it over there and tape it up and we send it for you'. My question....is this an actual policy or were the employees just not wanting to work? I decided to take my package and go to usps. I called 1800 pickups and was told that ups stores are not ups and had I shipped my package and it was lost/damaged it would not have been covered by the insurance. This is outrages to me seeing as how I would have needed to purchase additional insurance on top of the $100 that is automatically covered. I contacted the Ups Store customer service number and was told the franchise owner would call me back within two days and of course that hasn't happened. I am all for supporting small business but seriously...ship using another store, fax/copy using the HEB next door. I will continue to contact corporate until I hear back from the owner and I will be sharing this all with him/her but based on the service I have experienced thus far I doubt it will matter. read more
