Rude service. Notary not always available (10'minutes for his poopin and 15 for break). Drove 30 minutes as the notary "always available," unless poopin & break. Typically my former local UPS was reliable & friendly. This location has manager Cary calling everyone honey. Yuck. When she called for notary, he literally screamed "I'm on break." Points for the surly customer who made sure to add her two cents. Goofy business. Avoid for your own sanity. read more

This UPS Store is very similar to others I have been in. We don't have a mailbox anymore but still seem to need to use UPS Store services quite often. Service is excellent. They are all very knowledgeable about how to do all the jobs and get it done quickly and well. Prices are good for the jobs. I don't know about mailbox prices-though, the one we had last in another state seemed high. I definitely recommend this UPS Store and will go back. read more

These folk deal with volume! I mean, a LOT of volume. I do business there weekly and there are always piles of boxes and lines of people, all waiting for the next phase of the adventure. I'm amazed they never seem to mess it up. I mean, every package I've sent in the past two years has gotten where it was supposed to go and in a reasonable amount of time. That's pretty great. I even shipped an odd size witch's broom to my daughter; the team found a shipping box that almost fit, then cut it to size for me--at a reasonable price. I will say that shipping ended up costing more than the broom, which is kind of funny, but I didn't trust that broom to fly unescorted or arrive by deadline. Brooms can be willful sometimes, you know. So I paid. The UPS lads worked their magic and it all happened as it was meant to. The broom now hangs on my daughter's wall. I was immediately given the shipping price, but the 2 clerks were reluctant to give me the cost of the service to pack it for me and the cost of box and packing materals. $8.85 for a small/medium box and $8.00 for a small piece of bubble wrap is an excessive amount to charge. I needed help getting a package sent back to Amazon. Unfortunately, Amazon wouldn't give me free shipping from my location on the Southern Oregon coast and instead wanted me to take the package to the Roseburg UPS store. James helped me figure out that I could ship it to Roseburg, where he would scan the QR code that I emailed to him, and then he'd ship it off to Amazon for me. Unfortunately, the ups store could not run my debit card for less than $5.00. UPS store is a clean package drop off store. I have used them 3 times this month and experienced fast and friendly service.

Apparently customer service isn't their thing. The employee, whose name starts with a J, did not like that I asked why they wanted my phone number. Yes, I don't use UPS because I rarely ship things. After my question, the conversation went downhill and she told me how rude I was. I let my wife finish the transaction, I didn't say another word until the end of the transaction because she was threatening to not ship our package. During the transaction with my wife, the employee huffed and shook her head in dismay. After we finished, I grabbed a business card and asked if that was the manager's name on the card. Again, she told me how rude I was. I asked her name, she gave it to me, and told me she was going to recommend that the manager ban me from the store. Then, after being quiet, I told her she was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. I would be fine with a ban as I've only used them twice in my 14 years living here. Guess I'll start using the USPS again. I might be getting old, but some of the youth have no idea what customer service is. read more

For starters, if you work in customer service KNOW HOW TO BE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. There was a younger girl working there with long hair and was so pissed off with everything I was asking her to help me with when I all I needed to do was overnight an envelope. She rolled her eyes, huffed and puffed and threw my receipt at me with no "thanks you" or "have a nice day!" nothing. I spent close to $60 at that UPS store in roseburg that I know is struggling because whenever I am in there they always ask that we do more business with them but its any wonder no one wants to use them. I went in to get a box out through my UPS freight collect account and was told that they cannot do that and they never have. Yet, I have at other ups stores throughout OREGON. My first visit to this store was to purchase a box. To my surprise I was given a free box that was used but like new. They could have sold me a new box but didn't. So, I went back when I needed to ship my next package. The price to package my item was very good. They even allowed me to use their computer to print a shipping label from my account. Again, I was pleasantly surprised. I dealt directly with the owner and found him to be knowledgeable, kind, fair and accomodating. I wish I lived closer and could use them more. I live in Winston so have used Goin Postal. The last two times I have dealt with the owner, looking to find boxes to ship larger items, he has charged me for his time! Once $10 and once $5. The first time he was looking up prices based on size, and actually got me upset as he said the price to ship would be approximately $80. That didn't end up being the case. Moreover, he wouldn't weigh my item because I didn't want to pay him to ship it, as I have my own account. The second time he cut the ends off two boxes to make one box so charged me for his time. He then wanted to charge me $10 for packing peanuts for fill in just a 28x28x6 box which would not have amounted to much in the way of peanuts. I realize that both these guys have to pay the bills, and you can bet the Roseburg UPS store has higher overhead given their location. Yet, despite that, the owner is more reasonable and fair. read more
