I never thought I would be the one to review a UPS store but here we are. I'm only doing so in the hopes to warn another person, before they make the trip. They charged $2.93 to print a shipping label. Which whatever, the price of everything has gone up. I then am told it would be another $3 fee to ship my item because it's a USPS label, when they advertise on the door that it's a USPS friendly store and offer the services there. I have also never had an issue dropping off a USPS package at this location with an added fee. She was at least kind enough to tell me ahead of time, before I handed her the package. I then look at my receipt and the cost for printing the label is to basically EMAIL them the 1 sheet of paper. read more

I did not have a shipping label so the girl behind the counter said there is the email on the cash register to email it and we will print it. After she printed she charged me almost $3 for printing the label ... charging $3 isn't an issue. Not mentioning it or placing a sign mentioning the fee is unacceptable. Here's the best part ... This used to be a great store. Not anymore. I took in an Amazon return. I've done that quite a few times. I've never had any problem with it until today. The manager or owner - not sure which - was helping me. The Amazon return email only included a shipping label instead of the customary QR code. When I showed it to him he told me it would be no problem and that I could just email him the label and he could print it. Seemed so helpful. When I was done I started to walk out and he stopped me telling me I owed him for the email. I was incredulous. He charged me $3.50 for receiving an email and printing it. Had he told me before hand I would have just taken the box home and come back another time. So I paid him the money and left. Terrible customer service. I have been using them for all my mailing needs and a PO BOX, not once have they ignored me or not provided great service, they even greet me by name. When pandemic started, they even brought out packages to me so I wouldn't have to worry about spreading any germs to my wife who is compromised. Don't know why people complain about service. Came here to return some AT&T U-verse equipment. Showed up around 3:30 and there were 3 guys in front of me already. The guy at the counter had 5 things to ship, each going somewhere different. I stood there for 5 minutes and he and the UPS employee had only gone through weighing 2 packages to get shipping estimates. The employee says, "Sorry, there's another person that will be back shortly!" As two more people stack up behind me. A couple more minutes and I'm outta there. This is ridiculous. I've read really bad reviews before about this UPS, but up until today it's been fine for me. I went in this morning to get some small padded envelopes. The lady behind the desk told me there would be no extra charges above postage to mail them when i came back in. When I returned, there was a man working behind the counter. He refused to just put postage on my envelopes without an $8 tracking charge per envelope. I told him I didn't need them to be tracked, but he still refused. I returned home, googled postage, and just used stamps. $1.65 per package versus $8 plus the postage that he wouldn't check for me saying he had no way to know. What a shame. Walked in to ship a Zappos return. I needed to close the box that the original shipment had come in. The guy behind the counter told me I needed to buy a roll of tape, or there would be a taping charge, my choice. I took option C and left the store. That's pathetic to charge on top of something you're already getting paid by Zappos to ship. I feel they took advantage of my 82 year old mother sending something to Austin on 12/16 to get delivered before Christmas. Sold her 3 Day Select instead of Ground which cost at least twice as much. If you know UPS at all, sending Ground inside almost all of Texas gets delivered the next day. Even with Christmas, it would never take 4-5 business days. Called them and got, "Sir, we gave her options to assure that it would get there before Christmas". This location is intense about their tape. They want to charge you $2 to tape up small boxes. I could go buy a whole roll of packing tape for $2. The UPS location near Preston/Belt Line doesn't pull this stunt - they will hand you a roll of tape to use as you need. I arrived at the this store after a harrowing experience at Fedex and reached just 5 minutes before closing time. The lady handled all my shipping needs including printing return labels, preparing return envelope, attaching extra notes on the outside. The staff was polite but were completely unhelpful, We had a return label for 4 packages, and they basically were unwilling to ship 2 of them because they would have to be strapped together, which would cost an extra $4 each. Basically they had lots of suggestions so long as you were willing to pay, they were willing to print out one of the labels again for $3. So if they are able to make extra money they are willing to help, but help alone no. I would not recommend this place at all ever. Drive the extra 2 miles to a different store. read more

This store does not deserve any star. I asked to use their computer to ship and was told there is a surcharge of 25%. I know UPS is very aggressive on their billing system but not this bad. My printer has been down so I've been going to ups stores to print, since they are much more convenient than the library and have had a good experience at the ones in Frisco and plano. However this location was terrible. When I entered I asked a clerk how much it would be to print 20 black and white copies, the woman was very sweet and told me that it would be $3.47.. I literally used the computer for 5 minutes and went to pay for my copies. At the counter there was another woman with tattoos and horn earrings she seemed to be in a bad mood and looked annoyed. She rung me up and said my total was 8.17. I asked her why the price increased by 5$ and she rudely shouted COMPUTER TIME. I've never been charged for computer time at any other ups store and there was no one else in the store or waiting for the computer. Plus 5$ is just absurd. Never will I go to that ups store again.
