UPS is the absolute worst shipping company that you could use packages are always latem lately latest. I literally just tracked my driver down at 9 o'clock at night. And he refuses to give me my packages off the truck, even though he's not delivering them tonight, because they're gonna be delayed another day after already being delayed. 3 days he told me they gave me too much to deliver. I don't know where the packages are. The back of my truck looks like a bomb went off. Not my problem. So now I get to wait another day for all my medical supplies. Shut your company down you suck.... I asked the UPS Store in Pittsfield to bid on two clocks I won at Fontaine's. Their rate was extremely reasonable and their packaging was superior. One clock was porcelain and I was worried whether it would survive shipping, but it arrived in perfect condition thanks to the double-boxing and conscientious way the UPS Store secured the movement for transit. I tried to return Amazon item, which they advertise they do. Staff would not help me find QR codes and they had no WiFi or internet connection. Staff recommended I drive 2 miles away and then return after I was able to find WiFi myself. Aggravated and angry I drove 40 minutes in snow storm to be dealt with by incompetence and inconsiderate people. read more

I wish we had another option in town! This place is always a pain to try to send thing! Today I tried to mail a package and insure it. Not only were they gonna charge me $40 for the privilege to do so for a small box weighing only a few pounds, but the person told me they had to double box it -- (and charge me even more of course). I told him it wasn't necessary because the contents were already double boxed. Then he snidely said, "but UPS won't honor the insurance if you make a claim because the box makes a noise when you shake it up and down." Really? It was my box in a box that made the noise. Then he changed his story to "it has to have 3 inches of bubble wrap in there for insurance". Since when? UPS never made any of these requirements when we could send directly from the service center! This store always makes it hard to mail things without them being able to add some type of extra add on charge. One time I needed to print out a label and they wanted $5 or so to do it! I don't suggest using this store unless you absolutely have to! Even the USPS is much better service! And definitely cheaper! Heading there now. read more

This UPS store is a scam. Claims they have to add their own packing materials (which they then charge for) for it to be insured, which is an absolute lie. I ship a lot by UPS, never once had these additional expenses tacked on. Avoid this store, they're skimming that money somehow. read more

We were very pleased with the service we received from the UPS Store 0655. We had bought 12 pieces of especially fragile Victorian glass at auction, and this store retrieved the glass from the auction house and packed it safely. Each piece was well wrapped and placed in a box, which was then placed in another box, surrounded by padding. All arrived undamaged. When one buys at auctions far away, one has little but to ship, and this store did so efficiently and professionally. I felt their pricing was fair for all of the work they did to ensure it arrived intact (broken glass would have been worthless). One has to simply factor in the cost of shipping when bidding at auction. I would gladly use them again. read more

Very Busy store. Lots of free parking. A little bit on the expensive side, you pay for the convenience. We expected more out of the mail box delivery service but the postal service is also to blame for slow and undelivered mail. Needs to hire a lot more clerks as it gets hectic at times and a line forms often. Asking for tips and a tip jar is classless. The clerical help are troublemakers and censor mail service. Not worth the hassle. Look elsewhere for proper, timely, hassle free delivery service. Owner intentionally violates UPS rules and disrespectful to customers. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

we needed to have something notarized asap. we went to the ups store...ritchie, the notary was both professional and friendly. he told us it would be $15. per signature/stamp. there was 2. if we did not need it done right away we would have walked out! this fee( as their other fees are outrageous. )i told ritchie this when we left and said we would never be back!!! i called the governor's office who said they never recommend the ups store for their outrageous fees. we could have had it done at any bank for $1.25!!! the only reason we give one star is for ritchie. last time i was in here months ago they charged me $5.00 when i emailed them a label to print for an amazon package. next time (and everytime thereafter)i went to staples...great customer service and FREE...and i shop there now. poor customer service. we have been to many other ups stores around the usa. this is the worst of all. my husband says this is absolute THEFT!!! read more

The owner is completely unprofessional and so is his staff. I have had several issues here. Looks like my last post was taken down. One of his employees actually tossed my boxes out the door onto the side walk because he did not like the way I talked to him. The employees tried to refuse service because I wasn't wearing a mask. Then the owner asked me if I had a medical condition (this is an unacceptable question). Then he threatened me with no service at all if I complain. read more

I shipped a duffle bag to myself with travel stuff so I don't need to lug it through the airport. I've done this before using other UPS stores. Usually they wrap the bag with cellophane material and zip tie the zippers closed. I was surprised when I received the bag this time. It was unwrapped and no zip ties. It also looked like someone dumped white paint all over the bag and ruined it. I hate telling people their business,but next time (if there is one) I'll have to be very explicit about how to prepare the bag for shipping. read more
