I waited for 15 minutes to ship something that was already packed, labeled, and paid for. All they had to do was scan it and set it aside. But this location is staffed with lazy people. There was maybe one non-lazy woman helping another customer. Prepare to wait a long time here. read more

Approach this store with caution. The owner is too cheap to properly invest in training his staff properly in basic tasks like scanning, printing and basic customer service. Need something scanned? Go to FedEx on 13th Street and Market because the staff will take 45 mins to do half a scan and you'll have to come back the next morning to try to scan the rest and the manager will tell you : "My machine is not ready." Staff in the afternoon is forever changing, overworked, and unskilled but friendly if you don't ask anything of them so stop in and say "hi" but if you are under pressure of a deadline, and need them to perform a task like scanning payroll paperwork to your boss they will treat you like you're trash to be discarded. read more

Super pleased with my experience here yesterday. I needed to be able to print the return label for my package and all I had to do was email it to them. There was a 2.00 charge but the young lady helping me waived it. That was sweet. It kind of made my day. The only negative, the music was too loud. Package theft at store. Package was marked as delivered to the store on Friday, 11/25, and signed for by an employee named MILES. When I attempted pickup on Monday, 11/28, at 12pm, staff could not find my package. There was a note tied to the tracking number that said "Signature Obtained" on 11/26. After half an hour wait in-store, I was told that rather than wait, they'd call me, because the manager had to "review security camera footage". I received no call, but the tracking number had updated on 11/28, right after I left, saying "Package picked up at UPS Access Point". Then at 1:09 p.m., it said delivered and proof of delivery was an employee named SALLY. I called the store myself at 3:11 p.m., and an employee said my package had been found. I returned to pick it up immediately, and my package had been opened, emptied, and retaped closed - everything except for one item was missing, and that remaining item was damaged (it's wet? why is it wet??). I spoke with an employee at the counter, who told me to file a claim with UPS for stolen property, and to take photos. Manager was unavailable. The shipper is not replacing the items or refunding my order, because it was marked as "picked up" on SATURDAY, and UPS claim is invalid because I'm the recipient, and the sender must file. So whoever opened my package, I hope y'all enjoy the items I paid for, since I can't. read more

I just wanted to commend Teeza for her awesome customer service skills. She helped print my label and send my return back to Amazon all while making me feel like my business was important to her. I tried to use this store as a business address, which they advertise as a "street address" rather than a mailbox. After I paid for six months and signed the contract I was told that I should put UPS Store in the address or it might get delivered next door. Turns out they share an address with an apartment building and packages are constantly getting lost. I could not order from vendors to an address labeled UPS Store but if I left off that part the packages got lost. I lost 3 out of 4 packages. I was not able to get full refunds for all of them. This has hurt my credibility with my vendors and caused severe and costly delays for my business. If that was not bad enough, one time I went in to check on a package and they couldn't find my name on the mailbox. Somebody else's name was on it. The woman handed me my mail without an ID or asking me to sign for it even though she couldn't find me on the box. I cancelled the box and tried to get a refund for the remainder of the contract. I was told I needed to email the store owner. Emailed twice and still no answer. read more

Avoid this store. Ship two documents, three day shipping to Minneapolis will cost you 30 dollars at UPS, same thing FedEx charges $14, and USPS $7.5!!!!! Plus, the ladies in the store will make your visit the worst experience!! Rude Service to non-citizen. Today when I tried to mail something, I showed her the address on my phone and she typed the address wrong. (Such a small thing!!) And when I asked her to correct the address, she got aggressive at me saying it was my fault that I didn't read and spell the address for her. And when I explained how the address was clearly written and she should not blame it on me for her mistake, she SHOUTED at me saying I was screaming at her and refused to continue the work unless I apologize to her. After visiting this UPS store, I am NEVER using UPS ever again. That's right, this visit was SO horrendous that I am boycotting ALL UPS services. Sure, the USPS doesn't have themselves together either, but this place is WORSE than the Philadelphia USPS (Yep, THAT horrid). First off, this place has an awful stench. Care to vacuum once in a while? Or spray some air freshener? Secondly these people will do whatever they want with your package, and charge you. Didn't ask for tape? Too bad, they will put one piece of tape and charge you $1 it. Already brought your own packaging gear? Too bad, they'll stick yours into their own WITHOUT warning and charge you for it, and claim it's because yours isn't good enough. Question their services and ask why? They will YELL at you, accuse you of not listening, and THROW your package while they snarl at you in a foreign language. Why does this place have such high reviews? Probably because the majority of the positive reviews for this place come from people who have 0-1 friends.... questionable? NEED to go to UPS? Just go to the UPS a few blocks down on Market St. and save yourself some money and sanity. read more

Horrible service - usually my experience at this location is good but today I was 'assisted' by an employee who interrupted me, berated me, and basically told me to be quiet. She was rude, harsh, and short-tempered and clearly doesn't care about treating customers with any kind of respect or friendliness. I've never left a yelp review for any business before, so congratulations to this UPS location for being the recipient of my first. Every single time I call or visit this location, without fail, the staff there are consistently rude and short with me. In today's experience, which is what prompted this review, I told the lady that I was there to pick up a package. She responds, "you got an ID for me?" to which I promptly gave it to her and she condescendingly says "there we go." When she came back to tell me that the package wasn't there, I tried contacting the company that sends my delivery to get a tracking number but they were not answering. I asked the same lady if they were open until 6:30pm so I could try again after work. She responds, "make sure you get here by 6:15." I asked her if I showed up later than 6:15 would they not let me in? And started to explain that I work until 6 and am not sure if i'd make it right at that time. Although I wasn't able to get all of that out because she cut me off and said "I didn't say that we wouldn't let you in, that doesn't make any sense." Okay, then make it make sense! Why would you tell me that and why would you cut me off when i'm just asking for clarification? Why are they always so rude? I hate my job too just like everyone else but I'm not rude to my customers when they ask basic questions. That said, I would avoid this location if you can help it. read more

I'm always in and out usually when I have to shop something through UPS Small and convenient location not sure about if you have to park in the area. Over all the young lady there just takes my per-labeled package prints a receipt and I keep it moving. But I do see people have mail boxes there and they offer other services as well. read more

Asked the guy at the desk if he had a piece of tape because the one flap was sticking up. "We charge $1.00 for tape" "Really?" I replied. "For a single piece of tape?" "Yes" That's OK. Good lord, I spent half my morning yesterday calling outfits that claimed to have notary services, only to find that the notaries were only in on weekdays, or no longer offered. But then I came upon this UPS store, and in addition to notarizing both my PA and NJ bar applications (eep!) they helped me copy them and send them out in time to avoid MASSIVE late fees. Dear P.O. Boxers, do yourselves a favor and get a box at this store. I've had all my mail and packages shipped here for about two years, and cannot think of one single complaint. It's convenient as far as location (across from the giant State Store - I know, what a point of reference, right), as far as hours (they're only closed on Sunday), and they do so much more for you than any post office in this city by far... try getting a federal employee to stay open an extra 20 minutes because you're stuck in traffic, or to keep your box open on good faith because you didn't make it in by your renewal date. Also, unlike the Post Office, they will accept and sign for any packages from any shipping company... AND e-mail you to let you know a package has arrived! I never really know where I'll be from day-to-day, and I have MAJOR issues with mail or package delivery at home, so I gladly fork over $20/month to have Carol, Lauren and their team handle all of that for me. read more

LOVE this UPS store. since i don't have a door person at my apartment, i have my ups packages dropped off here through the UPS my choice service (total cost: 5 usd.) i've also sent packages through this location without any issues. bonus: they have a notary public on site! it cost 5 usd to have a document notarized. read more

This location rejected delivery of a package, despite it being listed as a UPS Access Point. I went to the location and they were very rude when I asked if my package had been delivered. When I asked them if they could track the package, after they told me it wasn't there, they said I could call the 1-800 number. Customer service is not high on the priority list at this location. Needless to say, due to this facility rejecting delivery of my package (which was a very small Amazon box), I was forced to redirect to the location at 17th and Market. The UPS facility on Oregon mentioned that they've had numerous problems delivering packages to the 1229 Chestnut location in the past. As a result, my package is still in delivery limbo and is likely sitting at the Oregon facility with no updates in about a week. I'd be very hesitant before assuming you can redirect a package to this location for pickup. read more
