On moving day, Eugene and the two other guys on his team were awesome. They were really careful and thorough with everything. They wrapped our furniture and belongings extremely well, and we didn't have a single thing damaged. They also took the time to disassemble and reassemble furniture, which was a huge help. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and professional throughout the whole move. The only thing I would mention is that the move took longer than we originally expected. BUT honestly, I don't really see this as a negative because it was clear that they were taking their time and doing things the right way. We've had movers in the past who rushed, cut corners, and ended up damaging things, so I would much rather have a team take a little longer and be careful with our stuff. Overall, we were really happy with Albo and would definitely recommend them. I reached out via cell and Alex responded the same day asking for more info. I texted it all to him. The next day he emailed me a quote and laid out all the info. The pricing was very fair, and based on his quick response time and great reviews, I decided to hire them. I am very glad that I did. My move went extremely well. I hired 2 movers and a 20-foot truck. Eugene and Serg were great. They clearly communicated their arrival time and kept me updated via text. There were 2 pick up locations - my storage unit and my parent's house. They had everything from storage wrapped and packed into the truck in 2 hours. Then we went to my parents for a few more things, we were out of there in under an hour. They drove to Jersey City and then had the entire truck unpacked and moved in and all the packing material cleaned up in 3 hours. It was an extremely hot day and the guys worked really hard and very quickly. FIrst of all, I put out a call on my Facebook asking for recommendations, and four separate people recommended Leo. How could I go wrong? I got estimates from 3 movers, and Leo was the cheapest. In fact, they were so very much cheaper that it raised a red flag with me... I was sure the other movers knew something Leo didn't, but I ignored my gut instinct and went with Leo because so many people I trusted recommended them. I won't ignore my gut instincts again. First of all they were late showing up, but traffic happens so I wasn't too upset about that. But when the guy came out to do the estimate, I asked him to include an estimate for packing up my kitchen, which he did. But the first thing the guys told me when they showed up was, "We don't actually do that." Then they very graciously told me if I packed it myself, they woudln't charge me for it. Thanks ever so much!! So I ended up having to pack the kitchen myself, which if I had known that was going to happen I would have been packing it up bit by bit over time the way I packed everything else instead of freaking out trying to get it done in an hour. My back was absolutely killing me by the time I was done. Plus, they left 4 HUGE gouges in the wall while they were moving stuff, gouges the size of my hand. I also asked the guy who did the estimate to send me a contract to sign because I wanted some legal protection in case something (like the gouges) happened. He told me the crew would give me something to sign the day of the move. When I asked the crew chief about it, he looked at me like I had 2 heads and said there was no contract. Just very unprofessional all around, but what could I do? The closing was the next day, it's not like I could tell them to go away and get another mover in there. I won't be using them again.
