FIrst of all, I put out a call on my Facebook asking for recommendations, and four separate people recommended Leo. How could I go wrong? I got estimates from 3 movers, and Leo was the cheapest. In fact, they were so very much cheaper that it raised a red flag with me... I was sure the other movers knew something Leo didn't, but I ignored my gut instinct and went with Leo because so many people I trusted recommended them. I won't ignore my gut instincts again. First of all they were late showing up, but traffic happens so I wasn't too upset about that. But when the guy came out to do the estimate, I asked him to include an estimate for packing up my kitchen, which he did. But the first thing the guys told me when they showed up was, "We don't actually do that." Then they very graciously told me if I packed it myself, they woudln't charge me for it. Thanks ever so much!! So I ended up having to pack the kitchen myself, which if I had known that was going to happen I would have been packing it up bit by bit over time the way I packed everything else instead of freaking out trying to get it done in an hour. My back was absolutely killing me by the time I was done. Plus, they left 4 HUGE gouges in the wall while they were moving stuff, gouges the size of my hand. I also asked the guy who did the estimate to send me a contract to sign because I wanted some legal protection in case something (like the gouges) happened. He told me the crew would give me something to sign the day of the move. When I asked the crew chief about it, he looked at me like I had 2 heads and said there was no contract. Just very unprofessional all around, but what could I do? The closing was the next day, it's not like I could tell them to go away and get another mover in there. I won't be using them again.

No advance notice. No contingency plan. No attempt to make the situation right. This left our family completely stranded on moving day. What was even more disappointing was the complete lack of support that followed. No alternative crews were offered. No referrals. No meaningful assistance whatsoever. We were simply told they would not be showing up. When I asked to speak with the owner, the manager, Drew, refused to connect me and stated that the owner would call me in two days. As a business owner myself, I was shocked by the lack of accountability and customer service. When your company creates an emergency for a customer, the least you can do is make yourself available and work toward a solution. Reliability is the single most important quality in a moving company, and unfortunately, this company demonstrated that they cannot be counted on when it matters most. Based on the other reviews, I'm thinking I might have caught some of the folx on off-days? I will say they were prompt and polite, and Sway really tried to make up for what he could tell was not the smoothest move. It was not an inexpensive move, but the price matched with other companies I got quotes from. *I'd recommend not asking them to move plants because almost all of the plants they handled lost limbs. The communication prior to the move from Joe was proactive and clear so I knew exactly what to expect. Jose and his team arrived on time and I loved the text message telling me when they were en route. They packed up my apartment so quickly and they were also careful, making sure to pack everything well. Even with stairs, they unpacked at my new location very fast and even made sure we were happy with where everything was placed.
