I really wanted to write a good review because I liked this crew personally, but unfortunately the…read morejob they did was not up to par. First, I have moved many times and moving is hard. I moved into the place I was moved out of on this job one year before and had the movers pack up for me, disassemble and reassemble my furniture. For this job, the cost was twice the amount and took all day for a condo of furniture. I let it go because this was a new business and I chalked it up to being overly cautious, but after spending so much time packing, I did not have them reassemble furniture or move boxes to the right rooms and I've really just gotten to the bottom of the problem after a month of unpacking. First, this team was packing for me. All was moving at a nice clip until I left the condo with what I was told was about an hour to go. I waited at the new place and got cash ready. Turns out one problem is that they bubble wrapped everything in my home. Not just glass but plastic utensils individually bubble wrapped. For real. It took days to unwrap everything. They plastic wrap all furniture, which I actually thought was interesting and I liked the idea of preventing damage to sofas etc in the move. However, after unwrapping sofas, it was clear that the plastic wrap was sliced off with a knife and each sofa has a pillow with clear gouge marks from where the plastic wrap was cut. (I used scissors to cut through the plastic wrap while unpacking). They left some things in the condo and neglected to tell me. When I got there to clean I had to have my boyfriend come with his truck because there were furniture items as well as boxes. When we called the company, my boyfriend was angry and had words with the team so I had to apologize and explain the situation. But the response was disappointing because the owner basically told me that since I had paid with a check and he'd accepted it, I should be grateful for what service I got. Just to be clear, I paid with a check because moving the same furniture before cost $1500 less so I had not taken out the required cash. I sat around at the new house for 4 hours waiting for the crew after sitting with them for 2 hours in the condo before heading out. I kept calling to check in and they were saying they were still going. They explained to my boyfriend that it was the packing that cost so much. Just to note, it's really important to properly pack glasses and dishes. Every single dish of mine was individually bubble wrapped, which I consider a tad excessive. Bubble wrapped and taped closed. But the kicker was unwrapping the individually bubble wrapped forks, spoons, plastic serve ware, etc. It's no wonder it took so long for them to finish and they went through multiple rolls of bubble wrap and boxes adding to costs. Nice group of people. Hopefully these kinks get worked out. They're still learning.

Good thing I had the presence of mind to pack a suitcase of stuff we'd need (there was one night between the pack and the move) because these dudes came through my house like a very organized hurricane that just blew everything that wasn't nailed down into boxes. They wrapped every piece of china in layers of packing paper and arranged it in some magical way so that not one dish broke. They wrapped my unbreakable Corelle dishes from Target the EXACT SAME WAY. My entire four-bedroom house was packed in 4.5 hours. The move itself took place the next day and again the team was extremely punctual and professional. They took amazing care in bringing everything in and making sure it was placed in the right room. And once again, they got the job done in less time (and for less money) than I was originally quoted. And yes, side note, if you work with Bobby on the initial estimate, he is almost certainly going to tell you that the job is going to take longer, be more difficult, and cost more than it will actually end up being in reality. Don't worry about it, the guys who actually show up to do the job will do better than that! Even after they finish loading, they linger next to their truck and in their vehicle, slowly counting cash or chatting, refusing to move until they're good and ready. Then, when you finally ask them to pull out, they shoot you a dirty look like you're the one inconveniencing them.
