I am there daily and they not only send my packages which are pre labeled and they make nothing off of, but say absolutely amazing encouraging remarks of how my business, soon to be an S Corp with multiple LLCs beneath it, is doing, but know my name. I am warmly greeted. I often see the not so kind customers they have, but they keep a great atmosphere and I look forward to my daily trip there. I buy boxes hundreds at a time, and put in so much effort in helping my business thrive in these tough times. I contracted them for a cross-country move because they quoted me an impressively low rate. I was wary that the price was too good to be true, but the sales rep assured me that my deposit would be fully refunded if I experienced any lack of support. After persistent follow-up and repeated reassurances from the sales rep, I decided to give them a chance. Once I paid the deposit and signed the contract, communication completely stopped. I could not reach my sales rep, or anyone else at the company, over the following weeks to answer basic questions, including confirming a date for my move, which was quickly approaching. Despite their failure to return my calls or contact me to confirm logistics, my credit card company was unable to reimburse me because the contract is written to protect their business and does not clearly address communication requirements. After weeks of no response from SafeShip, I was forced to book another moving company, and I am now pursuing recovery of my deposit through small claims court. When I investigated their business after the fact, I found a large number of similar complaints, including reports filed with the BBB. I strongly recommend reviewing customer feedback across platforms before considering SafeShip, as they have a well-documented history of scamming customers.

I really wish I'd read reviews like this one before I booked…read more Safe Ship picked up my furniture for an interstate move. About two weeks later -- the same day I signed my new lease -- I sent them my destination address and move-in date. And then... nothing. I called. I called again. I kept calling for over a week before anyone bothered to respond. Meanwhile I'm sitting in an empty apartment I'm paying rent on, with no idea where my stuff is or when it's coming. Delivery finally happened more than a month after pickup. And the cherry on top? The driver calls me the day before to say I owe hundreds of dollars extra because the truck they loaded my stuff onto is too big for the streets at my destination, so they have to transfer everything to a smaller one. I gave them this address weeks earlier. Weeks to look at a map. Instead they wait until I have literally no choice but to pay whatever they ask. And this is after they already jacked up the price right before my move date -- conveniently once it was too late for me to back out or find anyone else. I'm not someone who writes reviews. I'm writing this one because I spent over a month stressed out of my mind, sleeping in an apartment with no furniture, getting ignored, and then getting handed a bill for their mistake. That's the experience. If you're reading this trying to decide: they're a broker, not an actual moving company. They hand your stuff off to someone else and then stop answering the phone. Avoid this company at all cost!

Now my husband made the initial call and arrangements with Safe Ship. They didn't come to the house, simply wanted an inventory over the phone. ADVICE: Use a company who will come into the house and do the inventory for you. This cost us greatly later. They After getting bids from three companies, my husband opted for Safe Ship. He also added on packing services. He had to leave and go out of town so I handled the follow up call. They verified the inventory over the phone. Moving Day arrives. I had packed up actually a fair bit of stuff and I am glad I did. They showed up very late. They looked around and said "you have more stuff than we thought". And demanded a cashier's check in the amount of $3000 or they turn around. We were dumbfounded. Seeing little option we went to the bank and got the check. They took it and went to work. The men were not very nice. The "packing" was abhorrent. My KitchenAid stand mixer was "padded" with my glass tumblers. My paintings were stuck face to face together (destroyed). So many things were broken. And they used this awful brown tape that, to this day, I still have to look at because I cannot take the residue off. The following day a new crew arrive. They are angry because the first crew didn't get as much done as needed (well, yeah, they were 6 hours late). Of course our items arrive super late (no surprise there). The unloaders were better, the main guy was an engineering student so he was on top of things and let us know that he fired the guy smoking in our bathroom. Considering everything else, that was not really a concern of mine. Predatory company. Shady business practices. A lack of accountability. Do not use Safe Ship.

We were attracted to iShipItRight because the price was right, and we were extremely nervous because we'd never shipped overseas before, and as the adage goes, "you get what you pay for." Bottom line, iShipItRight exceeded any expectations we had and we will gladly step up for them. iShipItRight undercut the next competitor by $200, and MANY of them quoted us nearly twice the amount iShipItRight did or more! Liezy in Sales guided us thru the process, made it super simple, and put our minds at ease. She spelled out precisely how much each step cost and pointed out what they couldn't cover and may be extra if Germany did not like x, y, or z. She also explained the insurance, and everything was crystal clear. Plus the down payment of only $500 to get things moving was an affordable bargain. As time got closer to the move. obstacles came up. Our stuff had to be picked up from two different locations, Germany was asking for an exhaustive inventory while the country was going back into lockdown, and we had to navigate the tricky holiday season when absolutely everything in Germany shuts down for days. Our nerves were shot. That's when we met Xiomara in iShipItRight's Operations and she understood our obstacles perfectly. She set up a plan that was exactly what we needed, and guided us thru writing the list. She even checked my work! The plan had a hundred moving parts. iShipItRight acts on your behalf and hires subcontractors to pick up your stuff, palettize it, transport it to port, store it as needed, ship it overseas, receive it overseas, get it thru Customs, and ship it to your door. It was maddening to imagine. Atop our personal move, our stress levels were thru the roof. A couple times, we did not hear back from them as quickly as we would have liked, needing confirmation to our confirmations of confirmations, so we really appreciated Hannah the team coordinator for excellence hands holding and babysitting. We realized our stress the toll the move was taking on us and how many things iShipItRight was managing on our behalf. Hannah became like a friend as she reassured you what was up and when, and it was the nicest part of the process. We looked them up out of paranoia that our stuff wouldn't vanish like Titanic and saw poor reviews from couples just like us because their shipment was held at the receiving port or foreign customs or damaged in transport, and we had the same worries, but still remembered these had been explained as possible risks by iShipItRIght. They're not lying. You're dealing with foreign governments and companies--some of them are not going to like your shipment, and charge extra just to look at it--that is not iShipItRight's fault. They are newcomer on the logistics scene, and family owned and operated. Given the complexity of what they do, we came to respect their work greatly, and are standing up for them. They stood up for us too. The receiving company in Germany came across like they weren't paying attention or didn't read our emails or didn't have time for us... and tried to DOUBLE CHARGE us for customs, storage, and delivery! One phone call to Hannah and she had them sorted out within a day. Everything arrived when they said it would arrive, and perfectly intact, even the most fragile things, dry and clean. Frankly it was freaking amazing. Yes, it is a funny feeling in a family business because there is a large cast of characters and a Wimbledon of call transfers. Some shipping companies bragged to us about their price, and others bragged about their experience, but mostly they gave us the creeps. Nobody felt as honest or right as Hannah, Xiomara, and Liezy. They were great! So fair is fair: iShipItRight is pretty awesome! They'll be who we use for our next overseas move.

Pick up was early December and delivery was targeted for the end of January. Managing clearing customs was included in contract and my payment. They lost track of my belongings in March, telling me they were in Amsterdam, but a shipper in Dublin was kind enough to tell me they were in Dublin. iShip it Right did not clear customs, meaning I had to scramble to find documents proving it was a transfer of residency for me and my family. Although I provided iShip it right everything they had asked for ahead of time. Then I had to arrange and pay again for delivery from Dublin to my home. I finally got my belongings in July of 2022, and that was only because the Irish company where they were stored helped me out. I do not recommend using iShip it Right in any way. DO NOT USE THEM. Poor communication, no updates, not answering calls or emails, lot's of excuses. I got my belongings 8 months after pick up. Save yourself a lot of stress, unexpected cost, and time by looking elsewhere!!
