Formal Complaint Regarding Staff Misconduct and Lack of Assistance I am writing to express my severe disappointment with the service at this location. The store was entirely empty, yet the staff showed a complete unwillingness to assist. I witnessed three female employees at the print center actively ignoring customers. Furthermore, the cashier had an empty line, but refused to help when approached. There seems to be a toxic attitude among the current staff where customers who are less tech-savvy with the machines are treated horribly and dismissed. It is unacceptable for employees to stand around idle while customers go ignored. Management needs to seriously re-evaluate their training and personnel choices at this branch. Easily worse Staples I have ever been to. If I went under cover Boss here, I would fire 1/2 that incompetent staff and immediately dismiss the manager of the store if there is even one. Long lines. The shelves look half stocked. The job that was done for me was not done correctly, plus it was very expensive. Real depressing store. All the workers look miserable. Service is bad, stock for basic items not on hand . When asking about the stock they just told me I could special order it. They can't bother to stock a regular stock item they want me to just order it when there is a space on the wall for it . I just wanted to come over grab it and go but I got attitude instead. read more

My son visiting from CA at Christmas bought some stationery for a project that he didn't use. He asked me to return it to this store where he purchased the item and gave me the receipt. The store would not accept the return without the original credit card which is now with my son in CA. Any savvy retailer would just reimburse the original card or offer a store credit. But Noooo! The customer service is terrible. I tried to return a package using their UPS service , no one knew how to do it nor did they know they offered free packing and label print. When I told them this they said I was mistaken, there was a huge sign advertising this. I asked to speak to the manager, the counter person stated he's over there, pointing in the direction of another desk. No one was there. I then was approached by another counter assistant stating What's your problem. I asked if he was the Manager he said no, I stated I didn't want to repeat myself over and over and with that said never mind I'm done. One person staffing the three copy/scan/fax machines, biz card & UPS section by himself is ludicrous & shows a deep disrespect &/or lack of concern for customers valuable time. There are no chairs for disabled persons, who have to stand, waiting for their turn. Staff don't bother to look up & ask if you may need help locating an item to purchase. This retail store could use better customer service skills & a proactive, helpful management team. Ample parking. read more

They are lazy. Tried to buy a chair but they only had a floor model which was damaged. Asked the associate for a discount. Said he was only authorized to discount it by $15 bec that's the cost they would charge to assemble it. Told him I wanted a bigger discount since the chair was damaged in 3 places. He said he wasn't authorized to do that, he would have to ask his manager and he was gone for the day and he wouldn't text him. I told him clearly they don't care about making sales. Went home and found the same chair on Amazon for $35 less and not damaged. I don't know how staples is still in business with its extremely poor and lazy customer service. read more

This store is a Joke,ran by a clueless gm, his employees are not trained correctly what so ever, he def favoritizes certain individuals but will never help his employees out..all he does is flirt/sleeps/sits with the print manager kayla or sits in his office all day ..he also put down mounds of ant food in the ladys first stall/handicapped stall & by the mop. Instead of calling a bug man to take care of it properly, He will not go by staples procedures/handbook says he doesnt care & that its his store his rules..the main entrance door&gates are bent severe u have to put ur foot on it a certain way just to make sure it locks instead of replacing the doors or getting it fixed,treats people like their dirt under a shoe..that store should close or get new mgmt for sure read more

I went to Staples today to fax seven pages to a business. The machine was extremely slow. First issue was it sent the fax and didn't scan my papers which I had put inside the slot. So I got charged $4.85 for nothing. Then I tried it a second time and it did go through that time. However, it took 15 minutes to send seven pages. Absolutely ridiculous that it would take that long. So I go over to the rep at the counter and advise him I was charged for a fax it was never sent. He gives me this look and says, did you put the paper in the feeder? Like seriously? Of course I did. It's not my first rodeo sending a fax. Then I then I told him that I believe there was an issue with the fax machine as it was just spinning and kept saying in process. It does not take 15 minutes to send seven pages. He didn't tells me they're machines are extremely slow. I was so mad I end up taking my stuff and leaving. I will not bother to go back here again is the machines are archaic and don't work. And the staff doesn't care if you're extra charged...total waste of time today. read more

Just what you expect from a well-run Staples. Had a mid-communication about a printer-ink rebate, but that was my bad, too.

I just used this Staples to have my wedding invites printed off because we were having so much trouble with our home printer (small wedding). I'm not sure the spelling of her name, but Kee was SO amazing and helpful, I needed to giver her a shoutout!! She was clearly very busy, but took time with our order, making sure it was correct in every way. It was ready in less than an hour and I had so much stress off my shoulders. What a great option, I will absolutely use this Staples in particular again when I need something. Please give that girl a raise, she deserves it! Thanks again! read more

Staff today was reluctant to help. Overheard one gal speaking to an elderly lady in a tone not appropriate to speak to a customer. No customer priority. Management rather do interviews than help customers in the store. I went in for a charger for my laptop and none of the employees were helpful except the cashier. Left without getting what I needed. They act like they close at 7 pm instead of 8 pm, so they act like they don't want you in the store. I needed help in one of the aisles, but the girl clerk ignored me. I wasn't sure she worked there because she was out of uniform. The taciturn obese clerk at the register didn't greet me or apologize when I had to wait on change. There was no cash in the register because they were trying to close early. The slightly less obese manager brought me change in ones without saying a word to me. He didn't apologize either. The girl clerk was standing with them at this point quiet and self-absorbed. Then I was not offered a receipt or a bag. Needless to say, they didn't thank me or say goodnight. The manager and the clerks in that store at night are pathetic and incorrigible. They should not have been hired. I will call the manager's supervisor tomorrow. read more

If I could give a zero star I would! Bought a all in one desktop. Paid for a data transfer from my old tower. When they called and said it was ready I went to pick it up. After getting it home I powered it up only to find some else's data on my new computer and none of mine!!! Needless to say I went right back!! They still had some one else's data on their system which is how it ended up on mine. If you even consider buying a computer from them I strongly recommend overseeing the work done if you are transferring any data!!! Talk about a security breach!!!! I shopped at Staples in Atlanta for over a decade and had good experiences and customer service . I recently moved to Palm Coast, FL, where Staples is only office supply in town. I've had several bad experiences at this store, and the manager appeared unconcerned about these. I've been on hold on the phone for 32 minutes today waiting to speak to someone at Staples corporate customer relations . I'm posting this on Yelp while waiting on hold. This store has made an amazing turnaround over the past 18 - 20 months. I got horrible service there in December 2016 - February 2017. I gave up and started driving to Daytona or ordering from Amazon. I have been in there twice this week and this store has changed 180 degrees. This is the ONLY office supply store in Palm Coast so they must think you will accept their crappy service. We went in to buy my dad a desk chair and he found one he liked. GREAT ! One stop and don't have to drive to another town. 2 issues every chair but this one has a sale price? And chair seems to tilt forward. Go to inquire and girl who works this area is complaining "too many customers in the store" SERIOUSLY??!! What school of retail are you from? Ask first about the price and get a smart aleck answer "do you mean other than the price posted right here?" Ask about the feel of it tilting forward and am told it's a big and tall chair that will hold someone up to 400 pounds. Ok why is it tilting forward? "He doesn't weigh enough!" Ok what's the minimum required weight? 200 pounds - ok I weigh over 200 why is it throwing me forward ? You're not tall enough ! It's big AND tall!! Ok I'm done you really don't want my money . They tried to sell me a used laptop as a new one. Easy techs (morons) could not figure out how to change the permissions to transfer my files from my old laptop. I bought a case for my hard drive on Amazon for $10 and figured out how to do it in about 10 minutes. Sold me MS Office 2016 by telling me previous versions were not compatible with Windows 10. Returned it the next day after I discovered they lied just to sell Microsoft products. After a week of trips back and forth the laptop crashed and had to be replaced with a (real) new one from another store. Staples founder must be rolling over in his grave --- disgraceful! read more
