This store has the most wonderful employees. I own a local business and have my P.O. Box with the store. I know the owners well and all that work there. I am there daily and they not only send my packages which are pre labeled and they make nothing off of, but say absolutely amazing encouraging remarks of how my business, soon to be an S Corp with multiple LLCs beneath it, is doing, but know my name. I am warmly greeted. I often see the not so kind customers they have, but they keep a great atmosphere and I look forward to my daily trip there. Review is up I was recently scammed out of nearly three thousand dollars after entering a contract with SafeShip. I contracted them for a cross-country move because they quoted me an impressively low rate. I was wary that the price was too good to be true, but the sales rep assured me that my deposit would be fully refunded if I experienced any lack of support. After persistent follow-up and repeated reassurances from the sales rep, I decided to give them a chance. Once I paid the deposit and signed the contract, communication completely stopped. I could not reach my sales rep, or anyone else at the company, over the following weeks to answer basic questions, including confirming a date for my move, which was quickly approaching. Despite their failure to return my calls or contact me to confirm logistics, my credit card company was unable to reimburse me because the contract is written to protect their business and does not clearly address communication requirements. After weeks of no response from SafeShip, I was forced to book another moving company, and I am now pursuing recovery of my deposit through small claims court. When I investigated their business after the fact, I found a large number of similar complaints, including reports filed with the BBB. I strongly recommend reviewing customer feedback across platforms before considering SafeShip, as they have a well-documented history of scamming customers. read more

I walked into an empty store with two people working, engaged in a conversation and was asked to wait while they finished their discussion. This wouldn't be terrible, as they were decently polite, but then I was charged a "taping fee" for putting 3 pieces of tape on the package I had all prepared. This is a ridiculous charge, and I was embarrassed for them. I will never go there again with so many better options around. read more

I rented a U-Haul truck one-way with Safe Ship as the drop-off location. I was planning to return it on Saturday, which is their day off. I called Safe Ship to confirm I can drop the truck on Saturday and not be charged for extra days. And that is exactly what happened. Safe Ship did not timestamp my return until Monday PM, and I was charged ~$120 for extra 2 days. When I called them to correct the error, they basically refused to do that and suggested I call the location where I picked the truck from because they said it's the pick-up location who charges the credit card (which is not true. According to the credit card record, it was Safe Ship who charged me for the extra 2 days). Finally, I had the issue resolved with the U-Haul regional manager. Be careful with returning U-Haul trucks here. read more

They don't tell you that they upcharge on their shipping of packages. Paid $28.99 for a 7# box 16,11,7 shipping UPS. I said okay. I had a doctors appointment & while waiting I checked out UPS with the exact info and the quote was $20.75 and USPS was around the same cost. That is a huge difference. So I called to question why she charged so much more and kept telling me that there is $1 for drops off for UPS. She then told me that we are a retail store. I told her that it should be known to customers that they upcharge on shipping since they are retail. Also, they do not show you the screen with the charges, which I find not very nice. At the UPS store and USPS, you get to see all the info on the screen and you know that is exactly what you will be paying. I will never, ever use any Safe Ship due to this dishonesty in their rates. read more

My husband and I went in on a Friday afternoon to ship a package. The woman behind the counter asked how we wanted to send it. We explained it wasn't a rush but we did want tracking. She didn't seem to fully know what she was doing. She wandered around the store and talked to the FedEx lady picking up packages. Finally she started to work on our package but she didn't seem to know what she was doing. She called someone and asked several questions to get the process started. She definitely worked in slow motion. When she was printing the label, the machine ran out of paper. She had to make another call to find out how to get the label printed. Finally, she got the label printed, charged us for the shipping which was outrageous for a 4 lb box but she told us it would get there on Monday. I checked the tracking number all weekend but no movement. On Monday morning I called the store to inquire where my package was and was immediately told I would be called back. I was called about 3 hours later and told I didn't have a package there. The woman said there are no packages for "SMITH". (not the actual name). I said who is SMITH? That's not my name. Finally the woman started asking questions and she discovered that indeed my package was there. She stated it would be picked up in the afternoon. I stated "that's what the woman told us last Friday"!! I personally would not recommend this store for any business that you might have, unless you like being lied to. I brought this to Lisa's attention and after many back and forths between them Lisa managed to get me a refund for the difference, for which I am grateful.
