It takes a lot for me to do a bad review. So I stop in to ship 4 small boxes that came together as one. The gentleman behind the counter says I need a box to ship them in and wants me to buy one. Keep in mind they came taped together. I say NO to the box, but i can I use the tap behind the counter. He says NO, that is for other items and you have to buy the tape. Really? Quick. Convenient. No monkey business. Needed to stop by to return Amazon boxes a few times. One time, an agent told me I can return Amazon boxes ONLY if the boxes are all taped. Luckily I had a roll of tape with me. Then the next time, another agent told me that they can tape the boxes for me. So it depends on who you see. read more

Since the new management, I've been extremely happy with the hours, and customer service at this UPS location.

Went to drop off a package today and was waited on by the owner. He couldn't even call me to the counter in a respectful way, he said, "come over here"! When I gave him my packages, he was explaining in a rude tone, that I should have read the label and not put them in a box! I looked away for a second and he said, " here, I'm over here". Wow, the old owners were a pleasure to deal with. Too bad they retired! I told him that I will never go into his store again! Run, don't walk away from this shoddy establishment!!!! read more

Note- Amazon may change the terms of UPS returns. I didn't know this when returning Adirondack chairs that came as a set. Trust that the staff at this UPS has the accurate information. I didn't and found myself upset and resentful at the experience at the store rather than Amazon. Once clarified with Amazon, I recognized that the staff at this UPS were correct. Double check the instructions once the QR code is given. They change. The staff and manager here were gracious and understanding when I went back today. Very helpful. I'll add the manager also kindly helped me with a hand truck in moving the chairs to my car. I'll be returning the next time I have a return or package to send. read more

TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. Really--don't waste your money subsidizing these horrible people at the Norwalk store. The Westport UPS is better in every way and I highly recommend that store over this place in Norwalk. As the majority of the reviews here say, this store's owners are rude, condescending, and arrogant. They are overcharging for everything. They are very BAD communicators and EVEN WORSE at listening! AND they treat women as though they are mentally-deficient children. The owners appear to be stuck in some backward early 20th century concept of "Male Superiority." I am in the process of writing a detailed review of my recent ASTOUNDINGLY BAD experience while trying to get some things packed and shipped from Connecticut to California. I went in to send a box to my son; the prices I was quoted were so high it was shocking. I opted for almost $50 for delivery a couple of days later. However, when I got home I immediately called the store to let them know that I needed to cancel the shipment because it was missing some items. I was told by whomever answered the phone, in a rude manner, that I could not cancel my package shipment (that I had dropped off literally 15 minutes earlier). Someone else then got on the phone and admonished me for "being rude," told me the prior person "did not understand," and again told me that I was being rude. It's important to not that at no time was I being rude. I went back, picked up my package, cancelled my shipment and will never be going back to their UPS Store again. read more

I have hated every time in the last 10 years I have walked into this location. I agree with all others not only are the folks the owners, husband, wife and daughter the rudest folks in the business they also act like they are doing you a favor. They also charge over the customer service at UPS quotes are. They really need some training on how to deal with folks and stop acting like they are Holier-than-thou. Get a life Greg and Company and act like your running a people business. The folks at Fedex just a mile north will not only treat you better, but you will walk out with a smile on your face, not the misery and disappointment I have felt over the years from coming to this ill run location. The staff here are the rudest people I have ever encountered in my entire life. I had some amazon returns and Greg taped up all my boxes and only after the fact told me I had to pay to have them taped. Didn't give me the option to buy the tape for sale in the store or tape them myself, just went ahead and taped them all and then told me I have to pay. I get that tape costs money but he should have informed me before so I a least knew . read more

This location is owned by the SWEETEST family ever. My one year old was with me on some errands and the owners and their daughter helped me complete all my tasks while entertaining and enjoying my son. The UPS Store @ 304 Main Ave in Norwalk is by for the best. Greg the owner always has a smile and a warm greeting. The staff is so helpful. They always let me know how much whatever I'm doing will cost and how long it will take to get there as well as how to track my package. The owner of this place is rude, unprofessional, argumentative, condescending, and over-charges for services way over what other UPS stores do. I had an item dropped off there fully knowing I would pay for packaging it as it was purchased at an auction. 2 days later, I called to get the fee and pay for the cost of packaging. Greg then told me that the item was already packaged and gave me the fee to ship, including insurance. I told him that I had an account with UPS and wanted to email him the label if he'd give me dimensions and weight, so that I could use my UPS discount. He then rudely responded that no, he would not allow that and "that's how I make my living". He sarcastically added that he could just give my item back to the auctioneer if I wanted to have him come pick it up. I told him that since he had me by the " ", I wasn't able to do that, and just went ahead and paid it. I finally received the item today and called UPS and found out the owner of this store charged me $40 MORE than what I would have paid using my label and account. Looking at the receipt, he also charged me almost $30 for a simple box and some bubble rap (calling it "fragile"). The item was not fragile. My total bill was $128. What a rip off. I understand a store owner should make a profit but this much? If that's how he makes his living, unfortunately for him and his family, karma may see fit that he loses customers with this attitude, in which case his "living" will definitely be affected. I don't normally post reviews but, after reading other negative reviews on this store, and in the interest of keeping the public informed, I am posting and hope that Yelp will publish. read more

The people that work their are pleasant enough and its convenient. However they are over charging for both UPS and USPS by alot, not just a dollar or two but in 3 separate cases 50% + !!! If you are sending USPS go to a post office, if need UPS go to Staples. I am very mad at them and myself that I went back to get overcharged again. read more

Five star service. I drive across town just to use this UPS. The notary public Louise is extremely efficient, helpful and attentive to details. They always seem to have at least three staff on duty and all have a positive customer service attitude. I use this location for domestic and overseas UPS, copying, notary and shredding. One stop shopping for several pesky errands. The management or ownership must have changed since the negative reviews posted previously. I encourage customers to give it another try. read more

This UPS Store is pretty standard but I have an issue with the parking lot. The lot is small and tight and the main exit is too narrow.

I wasn't prepared to walk in and have someone be so rude. I regularly ship things through UPS and use various UPS store shipping locations and I have never had such a bad experience. I was told by a friend that it was a bad location, but I wasn't expecting it to be so unprofessional. read more

A rip-off! I regularly use UPS stores for printing black and white copies, but at this location they charge FIVE DOLLARS for ONE black and white copy. I politely told the man running the store I have never been charged a "download" fee, and he was completely rude and basically told me to "deal with it." And this was for a last minute, stressful errand for a printout for my wedding. I will drive across town to avoid ever using this location ever again. read more

Excellent - they're friendly and have been able to solve all shipping and notary issues.

Top notch service in a timely fashion. I shipped a large box across the country to my daughter who had just moved into a new development. The town hadn't registered the address yet so UPS was unable to deliver the package at destination. I received an email that the box would be returned to sender. I called Greg and he did his magic. Greg had the box rerouted to the local UPS shipping center where we could pick it up. Hats off to you Greg you saved me a lot of time, money and aggravation.
