I bought a mailbox here 27 years ago, and it lasted all this time until someone with a truck took it out a couple of months ago. I came back for a replacement, and once again, they didn't disappoint. These are true mailbox professionals. They even put my address on the mailbox, which looks great. The new models no longer come with the interior sleeve (the shelf that slides in and out), but they went above and beyond--found one in the back and gave it to me for free. I've been a customer of Mr. Mailbox since the late 1990s. I called and spoke with Andy about replacing a post. He told me to text him photos and that he would be able to install the following week. Never heard from him again despite several texts and a phone call to the office. Very disappointing. Seems to be a common complaint by others. They provided a great installation of a new box and post. However when the box was loose from the post they were notified and stated someone would be out to repair it within days. After three weeks without repair the box separated from the post and was on the ground. Despite multiple phone calls no repair ever occurred. This is quite possibly the most unprofessional business I have ever come across. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau but generally, I urge you not to bother even contacting them. I was trying to get a new street sign post for our private road that matched the mailboxes and posts we have. The old owner was tremendous -- he sold us and installed our mailboxes for the full private road and installed the street post and sign years ago but the post eventually rotted. However that owner sold the business to someone who has absolutely no interest in customers. Not only did I email the new owner three times with no response and call and leave voice messages 4 times, again with no response, but I actually went down there twice in person. Both times a young man who does the onsite woodworking for Mr. Mailbox came out and tried to help me. Once, he called the owner and put me on the phone with him. I gave my order to the owner and he promised to fulfill within 1 to 2 weeks. Nothing happended. I called and emailed again and then went down in person once more. My next visit, the same young man took my information and promised to have the owner reach out and said the job would be done within 3 days. The owner did not reach out. The job never got done. I finally found someone else to take our business. Truly unbelievable experience. read more

I was then informed there is no warranty on the post. So you take your chances when dealing with this co. This post and install cost over 300.00 and it was not hit by a car or snowplow. My mailbox was completed a full month later than they said it would be. I left about ten emails and voicemails which were never returned. I finally got someone on the phone who said it was ready so I picked it up and After getting home realized it is the wrong color. I had a custom paint job to match my front door so either the door painter gave me the wrong color code or Mr. Mailbox painted it the wrong color. I'm not sure, but based on the mailbox taking three times the amount of time and their inability to return a voicemail or email, my money is on Mr. Mailbox making the mistake. read more

I purchased a very expensive mailbox from this mailbox company less than a year ago. It broke from the cross arm the first winter in service after being told it is made from very strong material and likely to last a very long time. I then emailed pics and corresponded with them to get the repairs done. Two weeks go by and nothing happened. I reached out and was told they needed a credit card number. Ok fine. After about another 2 weeks I called to check on the status and they informed me that I still did not send them a credit card number. I mentioned that I was a returning customer and that they should have a credit card on file, but I urgently wanted to get the repairs done, regardless as I had been waiting for so long. After furnishing a credit card number I was told the repairs were to be done the next day. A week goes by and no repairs. I call to see the status and I was told they do not have the part to repair it and even if they did, and the fact that I was corresponding with them for over a month to get the repairs done, was of no consequence to them as it is first come first serve service. I tried to explain that I had been waiting for over a month and that didn't matter to them. In the closing discussion where I as called back, I have a very demeaning conversation where the woman to whom I was speaking to, sinkers and laughs that my credit card info was obviously to precious for me to divulge and that it was my fault that the repair was not done...even though the repair could not be done as they do not carry the parts they sell or was yet to be fabricated. In closing, I regret most for having given this company $500 for a mailbox. One would assume that some type of superior service would come with this outlandish pricing but do not be fooled. read more
