Came here to ship a package today. There is a shopping plaza parking lot so plenty of spaces. Went inside, it's small on the inside. But they had full staff. I was in and out very quickly and staff was friendly. No complaints would use this location again. read more

Absolutely the worst service and totally rude. They claim they are a franchise but have representation of UPS on their shirts and logo brand on store front. They were absolutely nasty to me and could not tell me where my package was. Tried to track it but tracking stopped before the weekend and its now Monday. Spoke to owner, Marcos Dejesus and his assistant were so nasty and not helpful. Beware and use Fedex if you live in Darien. Responding to your note. Joan F and Maria C you were right the blond office manager was the first very rude employee and the owner, Marcos saod it was tracked but not there and could not tell me where the package was. I tried to have a very large package shipped at FedEx and they made it so difficult. I called these guys at UPS in Darien and they were like - Sure! Come on in - we got you! And they did. They were cheaper and easier than FedEx by far. Thank you! read more

My husband returned the tux from our son's wedding at the UPS Store in the Goodwives shopping center in Darien, CT. on Monday, September 23rd, 2024. He mistakenly returned the cufflinks inside the package, not realizing they were separately purchased by our son for his father. Realizing his mistake he went back in a panic, to UPS within minutes with receipt in hand. He even brought a roll of tape to reseal the bag. However, the store manager refused to look for the package, despite it being dropped off just a little while earlier. The store was not busy and guys that work there seemed eager to help, but the blonde woman (presumably the manager), refused, citing that there were "too many packages to look through"...and she had a nasty attitude on top of it. This is a neighborhood store that I have used weekly... sometimes daily....for YEARS. My husband would have understood, had she said that they weren't allowed to open packages once they were in their possession... but to flat out refuse to look for something that had been there just a short while is inexcusable, as was her rotten attitude. Fortunately, the tux service was very understanding, and offered to flag the shipment and return the cufflinks. What disgusting customer service! I hope the owner reads this so he knows what an awful employee he has representing his business. I will not disparage the entire store, as the guys (and other gals) who usually work the desk here are ALWAYS awesome...helpful, patient, pleasant... but the blonde (manager?), not so much. NOTE: I purchased a lot of 'just in case' items for this wedding, so I have MANY packages (61 to be exact), that need to be returned this week, and they're all going back thru Whole Foods, or Kohls. I've been using this UPS store since my daughter went off to college to Florida in September and have had great experiences with both the staff and the service. Even in this time of CoVid, everyone I've interacted with has been friendly and helpful and has gone above and beyond--from adding extra tape to offering the box packing service they offer. And they're efficient...it's pretty much: go in, drop off, take receipt and out! With the USPS having some issues recently, I'm happy to have this location to help me get my packages where they need to go. read more

I'd like to share my experience on the day before Thanksgiving. I had two prepaid boxes to drop off, one UPS and the other USPS which is normally accepted in the UPS stores. I've been a loyal customer for many years at this location. I was told by an associate in no uncertain terms "this store no longer accepts USPS packages." Really? what would it of taken to give me a one time goodwill courtesy and accept the prepaid USPS box and help save me time on this busy Thanksgiving weekend ?! read more

These guys do an excellent job of serving their customers. I would (and have) paid up to avoid going to the Post Office to return various items. They are polite, very responsive and a place you can rely on. read more

Absolutely horrible experience - mailed 2 packages & neither package was delivered to the correct address. I was told that the area was 'not safe' which is absurd. I've had packages mailed to these two locations several times thru USPS without issues. Amazon delivers packages weekly without any problems. Manager was rude and unapologetic. Denied any type of refund or credit. I will not return to this store. read more

Shout-out to Sean, a wonderful employee at the UPS in Goodwives Shopping Ctr, Darien, who helped me unload 2 heavy bags of old papers that needed shredding and even helped stuff them into the Iron Mountain containers, saving me time. On top of being about 50¢ cheaper per lb. than the UPS on Main Ave. in Norwalk, they also honored a corporate UPS coupon that other stores I contacted said may not work at their respective franchise, saving me even more money. I went to the UPS store in goodwives plaza to return a hotplate to Amazon and needed a box for it. The girl told me the price for the box would be $16.95 !! Come on folks really lol that's a bit ridiculous don't you think !? Needless to say I'll be visiting package shippers in Norwalk or Stamford from now on. read more

Since recent ownership transition, experiences at this UPS store have been nothing short of incredible. That may sound over-praised for a shipping center, but it is absolutely due. During our most recent interaction, Mark helped us through an incredibly challenging, logistical situation and took it upon himself to go beyond simply assisting, and actively worked through the problem with us to find the best solution. The owner Marco is amazing. I had 4 very large boxes delivered to my house that required a signature, so they were taken to this location for pick-up when no one was home. Given they were too large to fit in my SUV, he offered to personally take them to my house in his van the next morning. So friendly and such good customer service. Highly recommended! read more

These people are the most miserable people in town. I am not sure if this is a family owned business but they all look unhappy. Every single time I go in that store I feel like I am bothering them. They never smile or say hello. I'm actually nervous when asking where I should put my pre-paid box? My regular UPS store had unexpectedly closed so I drove from Stamford to come to this one to do a return. They were rude and unbending with no helpful suggestions when i didn't have a label. Their only response was to patronizing tell me that they are a middleman and don't get paid if I buy a print from them. While I'm sure this makes sense to someone in management, I lost 1.5 hours with a commute in the middle of the day and they could have worked with me to let me process the return. I've never met a business who seems to hate their business model publicly. Will never go back. read more

I would give this store 0 if I could on account of it's bad customer service. I walked in with a smile planning on shipping an iPad to my nephew and left in tears with the iPad in hand. Michael was the culprit. He argued with me over something he was wrong about (which I confirmed later he was in fact wrong!) then dismissed me by putting his hand up and saying 'whatever'. People can be wrong, but the way he spoke to me was not okay. He should be ashamed of himself. I will never visit this store again. read more

I recently had an issue with a package I shipped. I didn't properly insure the item I shipped. Mark, the store owner, helped resolve my issues by going above and beyond what he needed to do. He reimbursed me for a mistake that I made, if that's not great customer service then I don't know is. I would and have returned but I know if there is an issue Mark will do everything in his power to correct the problem. It's a UPS store but a small business owner. Much better than FedEx read more

As good as it gets. Stellar experience. They packed and shipped a valuable item to Europe via DHL and all went smoothly. Also, shipped a box domestically via UPS that I had packed. The fragile items arrived damaged and UPS denied the $100 insurance claim. Store manager Marcos contested corporate's denial and they reversed their decision. The store kept me posted along the way and followed up by mailing me the check when they received it. I appreciated attention and commitment. read more

Service here very much depends on which employee you get. One in particular seems to relish shipping your items in the most expensive way possible ... calling later to complain may get you a credit but it seems to be a game to see if you know the right questions to ask...no help forthcoming....I really miss the former Norwalk, CT store :( read more

The UPS Store in Darien CT is under new management as of mid-Summer 2016, and the change is nothing short of stellar. A clean, efficient, attractive new layout, customer service that truly puts the customer first every time, and a fantastic new feature make this mailbox location a pleasure to use. Re the new feature: I have an old business, a new business, and a client business for which I act as agent. Used to be that you had to rent a separate mailbox for each business. No longer - the UPS Store allows you to have up to 3 businesses per mailbox. Although the overall box rental prices have gone up since the transition, this feature alone has saved me a ton of money. Note: don't pay any attention to reviews before mid-2016 - they refer to the old management, which apparently had problems. Unfortunately, those old reviews are currently bringing down the overall rating for this location. Reviews to date for the new management are all 5's with one 4. Keep up the good work, Mark and team! read more

Dishonest pricing! Bought a 14x14x48 box from the store (with dimensions labelled clearly on the box) and was given an estimated cost to ship the box at a given weight. Also obtained an estimated price from the UPS website for the same box and weight and value of goods. When priced at the store, I was charged to ship a larger box (16x16x49) - the ridiculous explanation being that the label indicated the inside dimensions, not the outside dimensions of the box. Also, was told that the box dimensions grew with the added contents, even though this clearly wasn't the case! Because this was a retail location, they also added on much higher insurance costs than the website indicated, telling me theirs was a privately owned store so they could do so. Then warned me that the insurance might not cover me for damage anyway because they did not pack it - I can only imagine the added charge if they had packed it. I will not return to this location. read more
