Avoided going to this UPS for a year due to every time feeling like I was the biggest inconvenience for just existing as a human trying to ship packages (at a shipping store). Stopped in today to ship some returns from Christmas. I was at brunch across street with friends who said "oh good luck at that UPS they are so mean" and I laughed that I agreed it was comically a rude environment but I was so close to the location, I would brave the bitter. Walked in, and instantly before I could even say hello was told by the same employee I avoided interacting with for a year "move to this side of the line, you'd think you would learn how lines work in kindergarten". So I walked out and drove to 83rd street UPS where they smile, are helpful and can treat you with humanity and kindness. Always try to give people the benefit of the doubt that maybe they are just having a bad day, but this guy is having much (much) more than a bad day. read more

Chip is absolutely the worst. I was there two days in a row this week and both times he was condescending, rude, and even outright combative with customers for no reason. He rolled his eyes and made comments to the customer in his line about another customer in the store who didn't understand his instructions clearly. There is one guy there who makes me come back, always nice, don't know his name as he doesn't have a tag (I think he works in the back normally and comes up to help.) he makes up for Chip being an ass so I tend to wait in someone else's line. This location isn't my favorite. I'll usually only come to this location because I'm in the area and pressed for time. Parking isn't the easiest. The employees should really learn to acknowledge customers when they come in. Most people are understanding about waiting in line when treated with a little common courtesy. But, when you're standing in line for five minutes and you see one employee with a customer at the counter, can hear others in a different part of the store, and three more people walk in, it's time for the guy at the counter to say, "Someone will be right with you" and then call for someone else to help. read more

Today, i went in there were 3 people working, two behind the counter and one person packing amazon returns in boxes. The older man-says " I am leaving to get receipt tape" Mind you he just loaded in a brand new roll into the his machine. There were 11 customers in line, in the 20 minutes I stood there 1 customer was helped, 5 more customers added to the line. The younger man helping the 1 customer out was fairly new or even in training. He had to ask the woman packing up boxes for help a couple of times. Amazon always wants me to use this UPS store, but they are not nice and always have a line. I just couldn't believe the older man left in the middle of that line. read more

This is the very worst UPS store I have encountered in my adult life. The service is horrendous, and the owner just doesn't give a rip as he is aware of all the multitude of complaints, yet nothing is done or changes. His employee CHIP (white hair, beard) is the most rude, arrogant, nasty person. He is merely there to make your experience hell. If you have an Amazon return, the staff will harass you horribly and complain, if you are trying to ship something valuable, it might be stolen and never arrive. Good luck filing a claim as the owner and staff could care less about your claim, or you. I don't understand how this franchise is still in business other than it is a convenient location for consumers who have no decided to drive an extra 5 miles to avoid this nightmare of a store. I have had multiple issues with this UPS location. Packages going to the wrong address and things being shipped in horrible condition and barely packed in oversized boxes. Because of this location I have lost over $700 dollars. Go to a different location if you can. read more

They are so helpful at this ups store. I come here to mail all of my packages, so amazon returns and buy stamps Pro tip: I do a lot of selling through poshmark and our post office has terrible hours - you can mail your USPS packages here! It has been so convenient! read more

Maybe Chip should reconsider being a manger for a very high volume customer service position. Between cutting me off and speaking to me in a very condescending tone; it is more than evident he needs to look for a different job that requires little to no interactions with adults. Very disappointing in the way I was treated. UPS do better at who you are hiring. From the looks of it I have not been the only person who has encountered such an unpleasant man. read more

Clean and bright. Super nice gentleman working the counter- his friendliness was much appreciated. It seems like a little thing, but I love that they've got their customer's best interests at heart- the door pushes open to go in. Very nice when you've got your hands full with things to mail. I'll definitely be back here when I need UPS services. Parking is a bit tricky- especially pulling out onto Johnson Drive, so be careful. read more

I've only ever had to be in the store for about 10 seconds and maybe if I had to do a longer transaction I may find something annoying... anyway, one of the places I order from, when you have a return they give you a prepaid UPS label and you can just drop the stuff off. When I did this at another location I got the 3rd degree. I've dropped off 3 packages within a year at this location and they never bat an eye. In fact, they usually see me coming with the prepaid label and meet me at the door to save me some steps. During my last visit, the UPS truck was there for the nightly pickup and I was really hoping to get my package on that truck. The driver saw me coming and completely ignored me and even blocked the sidewalk with his dolly and just started his little staring game. The person inside saw me trying to navigate around the blocked sidewalk, rushed outside and got the package from me and then gave it to the driver and told him to take it. One last step could have been to squirt the driver with a water pistol and tell him he was bad... maybe it would have taught him some manners. It means a lot to find a business that has employees that are aware of their surroundings. I know they probably don't make a ton of money there, so it is nice when they have some pride in the work they do. read more

Spare yourself and find somewhere else to print, even if it's out of your way. Even if you call ahead to make sure it'll be printed by a certain time, they'll just wait until you walk in and make you wait 15 minutes for it to print. And then they'll only print half the document. read more

Ran in briefly to get a package mailed out & while I was there, another customer walked in with a mask pushed down around his neck, clearly not covering mouth or nose. There were quite a few people standing in a pretty small space too, trying to distance as well as possible. An employee asked the customer to put the mask on & when he haphazardly covered his mouth but not his nose, the store manager (at least I thought so - he was sending off ~Manager Vibes) told the customer "this is a private business. If you don't want to wear your mask over your nose/mouth, please leave." And apparently that customer would rather try his luck at a UPS across town than put his mask on right. Anyway, that is all to say that I really appreciated the store's enforcement of mask policy / etiquette. I felt like the store valued our safety & was willing to confront those who did not. read more

The owner of this place is an angry, crazy man. He had the audacity to insult me incessantly on my last visit because I never "buy anything." It upsets him when you have a prepaid label. He was wrong, however. I have purchased packing tape from this store, and it was very low quality. It shredded everytime I tried to use it. I suggest just dropping packages off at this location. Use FedEx across the street to buy shipping and supplies. And, if he is rude, call (800) PICK UPS and they will connect you to corporate to complain. read more

Pack your items before you arrive. I was shipping clothing and got charged for "packing materials," so, tape because clothing doesn't require peanuts or bubble wrap. I get the charge for the box, but a separate packing material charge is ludicrous. When I mentioned what a ripoff that is to the rude employee she stared blankly at me and walked away with my items. read more

This review is a bit late, but part of my New Year's resolution was to give good reviews too. So, here it is. Back in September, I stopped by this UPS store and asked if they would have a notary around later that evening. They stated they would. And they did. I needed some official documents notarized and upon learning of my affiliation with the military, the manager waved my notary fee. I didn't ask for it and I didn't expect it, but as a result, I have shipped some items from this UPS store instead of the US Post Office. So far, so good (but not great). read more
