This is my local UPS store and I go in there with the right mindset: rough day for the workers, people usually not sure what they need and are not ready when they get to the counter, and that you'll wait. I've come to this particular location (corner of Veterans Memorial & Discovery Blvd) a couple of times within the last 12 months. And I have never had a problem. Today was no exception. I'm specifically taking time out to write a review today because of the stellar customer service from the moment I walked in. I was greeted, asked to approach the counter with a smile & "how can I help you?". I needed to print several pages and I mistakenly sent the request to the wrong local UPS email address. Finally after several attempts and no messages available to print, Ms. Leslie asked to see my "sent" messages on my phone & she immediately realized I had added an extra letter to the email address (......... a big "duh" on my part ‍). She PATIENTLY waited by the computer for me to re-send all the emails and told me it was "no problem at all" when I expressed disdain at my own mistake and for holding her up from the next customer..... like a whole 7-8 minutes. LESLIE is gracious, kind and exactly what UPS should hope for in great customer service. I WILL return to this location. read more

Usually between 11-2 is the best time to go in. They offer so many services that are useful. I always get my items notarized here. The woman named Joy (pictured in the yellow circle) is the rudest, nastiest, most ignorant person I have ever met. I had been waiting on a private mailbox. I was in Atlanta temporarily to help open a new office at my company. I had an urgent package that needed to be mailed to me so I used this location to retrieve it. I decided I might as well open up a box for a few months to have my mail forwarded to me if my employer needed me to stay in GA longer. This location was out of boxes. The owner informed me on Monday that they had a small box become open and said he would hold it for me. I asked for the mailbox application and she snarkily replied "its first come first serve!" And she then shoved the application into my hands and immediately turned her back on me and walked off. I told her that the owner said that he would hold the box for me. She said "Well! He didn't tell me that!". I asked for the package I recieved and she retrieved it and literally THREW the package at me. It was a small box and very light weight. But she tossed it in my direction and it hit the counter. I stood there stunned. HOW RUDE! I had another piece of mail at the location which I had been informed had been sent. One of the ladies said she would hold it for me until Monday. Well, Joy wouldnt even look for it. She just kept saying they would send it back if they had it because they could only receive in packages and not letters. She did not care that the other agent said she would hold it for me. Why send it back when I've driven so far and I'm standing in your store and you can just give it to me? So her lazy ghettofied a$$ sent back my letter back because she refused to look for it. I had been standing to the side looking over the application and she forgot about me. I had not paid for the package yet and I reminded her I needed to do it. She screamed at me that I should have already done it even though she was the one that forgot and I wanted to pay for the box at the same time as the package. THIS IS WHY DOING BUSINESS WITH SOME BLACK PPL IS SO DIFFICULT. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TREAT CUSTOMERS AS IF THEY ARE DOING THEM A FAVOR. I ALSO FAULT THE BUSINESS OWNER. WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU PUT SOMEONE SO NASTY AND SO RUDE WITH SUCH PISS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TEMPERAMENT UP FRONT TO LITERALLY ABUSE YOUR CUSTOMERS? We went here to ship a phone back. Didn't quite understand how the return label situation worked so asked when we got to the counter. The manager I believe his name was Shawn was immediately irritated. It wasn't what he said but HOW he said it. Once we figured it out & emailed the label to the store. The manager printed it out. He handed it to me to review. Then snatched it out of my hand. My boyfriend & I never got an attitude & remained gracious but it was like the manager was determined to be rude. We refused to sink into his energy and thanked him as we were leaving. He didn't even reply. His energy, body language & tone was horrible and affected the entire store. This used to be my go to UPS store when I first moved in the area about 4 years ago. I believe the owner worked in the store and he had some pretty decent staff members- all very friendly and helpful. I no longer see the owner and the new staff members are HORRIBLE, rude and slow! I came to return some items and it took more than 30 minutes. Count me OUT! I will not return to this location and it's sucks because I really like to support small, local businesses. The owner needs to get better staff in place ASAP! read more

Service was not good. Staff wasn't pleasant. Borderline rude. Internet is very slow which runs up your usage cost.

I will only go to THIS UPS store! It's a one stop shop- notary, printing, shipping, drop offs, scanning, faxing, passport photos! During this time of the year, they usually are short staff or have staff in the training stages. With that in mind, I understand it may take a little more time to get through the line. BUT once I'm there, I always receive great customer service! If a customer is having a difficult time with the QR code or label, they are always so helpful! Yes, it can take a while to get through the line, but what I find is that people aren't ready. They don't have their QR codes pulled up or haven't sent their labels or documents for print. Some of the customers are older and don't have a lot of experience with the Amazon drop off process. They are always so patient and helpful! All in all, you may have to wait a bit, but the services offered and astounding customer services keep me coming back! read more

I went into the store to print 5 documents and to scan roughly 19 pieces of paper and they charged me extra because I "asked" for the documents to be emailed separately even though they were going to the same email address. I specifically asked nicely that they be sent this way however after "numerous" FAILED attempts and the staff member continuously sending them attached together the manager goes there will be an additional charge just because I requested they be sent separately which was fine but they were charging extra fees because I am requesting a service that I Am PAYING for I think that is well within my right if I am paying customer and they charged me 35 dollars to print five pages and scan and email 22 pages to me and tried to raise the price because of a simple customer request to send the attachments seperately, ( not a crazy demand or request at the Georgia Tech location) but it was a big deal at this location and I usually go to the store by Georgia Tech which has MUCH better customer service, a paying customer shouldn't have to beg to receive quality service. Shame on the manager for charging me extra fees for his employees errors and omissions. I had to ask way too many times and I shouldn't be charged for his employees negligence and this is very fraudulent and bad customer service coming from UPS. Not to mention having to ask her repeatedly to send me the emails seperately caused me to miss my deadline. Just not good customer service, it's not even about the money but the quality of service. Customers shouldn't have to beg for a service and you would think they would appreciate the business but they don't. Terrible service!!!!!!!! After numerous complaints they took off 2.50 and once again it's not the money but horrible customer service and I wouldn't even write about them if the service was good but no I had to beg to receive a service. This is not my usual UPS store but I just happened to be driving by and decided to drop off a pre-paid package. The young man had just unlocked one set of doors so I proceeded in and in a rude tone he said "don't come in thru those doors come in on this side". I was already inside so I just proceeded to the counter. He never greeted me just told me to put my box on the scale. From The moment I entered the store I got a very negative vibe from him. Always very slow. If you there are more than 2 people in line when you get there, expect to wait at least 15 minutes. I pretty much only ever come here to return Amazon orders. There should be a way to just drop those off and keep moving. But I still have to wait in line just for the employee to scan my phone. read more

I do not often leave a negative review but have to in this case. We shipped a computer case, with insurance. Package arrived in a thousand pieces. I have been trying to get covered through the insurance now for over 9 months. I just received an update that I needed a professional estimate to make good on this claim, after 9 months. I am sure the folks there are really nice but as far as urgency with attention to this claim there was none. I had to call on a weekly basis to get an update, every time I was promised someone would call me back the next day. Do not recommend. read more

Waited in line for passport photos - one of their advertised services. Only to be told when I got to the front that the passport photo machine was out of color ink and it would be at least a week before it was operational again. Don't advertise a service you can't provide. read more

Called them again, after a couple of hours, said they didn't have the time to call people on the waitlist as they were really busy. This location would be better if they had maybe a couple more staff members. The staff is usually pretty friendly and helpful but sometimes you can tell they are overwhelmed. Just when picking up packages you can have to wait in excess of 10-15 minutes depending on what's going on. Today the wait was more like 5 or 6 minutes but still too long in my opinion for just picking up 4 small envelopes. I have a box in LA at a location with 5x's the traffic and never wait more than a minute or two. read more

Service was good, no complaints with service. My issue is the price gouging on sending items back. Some of you may not know UPS is a store that can be franchised. To franchise a UPS store is damn near $500k. So when you go into a franchised store guess what? They have to make their money back some how. **snorts** if I'm sending back merchandise valued at $60 it should not cost $32 to send it back. I might as well keep the shit! I already have a bone to pick with UPS and their integrity on delivering items. I see why they are called UPS. It's short for we get "UP'S" in dem pockets! Great customer service. I have a mailbox here and can't imagine going anyplace else. My box is accessible 24/7 and if i have a package they make accommodations so that I can still get my package after hours. They are community focused and after two years it does feel like family. I only send packages from here and I've never had a problem. Yes, I think the prices might be a little high but I don't think that is something they can control. I pay for the convenience and outstanding customer service. read more

The Mableton UPS Store 5419 Saturday May 17, 2014 11:35 a.m. After waiting in line for almost 30 minutes while the patron in front of me filled out an application for a post office box, it was finally my turn. I asked the clerk (Garrett?/Gary?) for two UPS overnight envelopes. Since there were now 6 people waiting in line, he gave me the two envelopes and said he would wait on the next customer, but he would come back to me as soon as i was ready. About 2 minutes later, I had put the paperwork in the two letter envelopes. The UPS clerk continued to wait on the other patron, who was shipping two very large bicycle boxes. I told him I was ready, he ignored me. Ten minutes later, I was still waiting to complete my transactions. After almost 45 minutes, I left the store. I do not understand why I had to wait while the customer in front of me did his paperwork but when it was my turn, the UPS worker couldn't wait even 5 minutes. I waited for my turn, but then was forced to give up my spot. This was POOR, UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE. I thought I had had a bad experience with the Shallowford Rd UPS location when their system was down for 2 days with no pick up service. I had to go back and retrieve my package and take ti to another UPS store. However, the service at the Mableton UPS Store was worse. I will never go back to the Mableton location again, and in the future I will use FedEx or the USPS for my shipments. read more
